I like Amazon OpenSearch Service for its scalability and managed nature, which removes the overhead of maintaining search infrastructure. Near real-time search and powerful indexing are standout features. I appreciate the seamless integration with other AWS services, which makes data ingestion and processing more efficient and reliable. OpenSearch Dashboards are also a highlight, as they make it easy to visualize logs and gain actionable insights quickly. Switching from a self-managed Elasticsearch setup to Amazon OpenSearch Service has helped reduce operational overhead, improve scalability, and leverage the fully managed environment. While it’s a powerful service, cluster management and tuning can still be complex, especially for larger workloads. Costs can increase quickly with scaling, and performance optimization requires a good understanding of indexing and shard strategies. Also, some advanced features and version upgrades could be more seamless and better documented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
