ECR is undoubtedly the best managed, secure and reliable docker registration service on the web today. The ease with which it supports private docker repositories means that it can be integrated with many services in any established region on your server. It offers AWS IAM permission levels which is great for those of us who develop applications in the DevOps area. Access to images and repositories with EC2 is very easy to implement if you already know and have used the service before, it does not require extensive training to start enjoying the best of the product. It offers interesting tools such as the docker CLI this is a great success especially for the extraction and management of private or public images. The access control and policies of all images are well defined and are really secure when you start creating repositories, the initial configuration is very easy to do especially if you have already used the ECS service, it is a very similar process. One of the options it offers and I find it more useful especially in the area of security is AWS identy, is a very reliable service which does not require the credentials that can often come to present security problems. Personally the initial configuration in many cases gives serious problems especially in the mutilation of labels, this is an option that is presented when creating a new repository even though they say that prevents overwriting this does not always work in the best way. The configuration of scanning images from the repository are usually automatic when they are inserted however in different opportunities I have had to do this manually, the creation and tagging to send docker images can also give problems if the initial configuration of the AWS service is not known correctly. A few days ago I executed a string of commands in conjunction with other users with whom I work, you can always view the string on the process list screen however I was informed that they could not see these codes I had to restart the whole project, today these errors are not allowed. Amazon web services supports integration and execution with Docker this has made me implement it in many opportunities for execution and creation of log containers, based on my experience it has a very simple interface to use it is very easy to access the containers and its creation is not a problem. Running through ECS in conjunction with this repository provides high performance solutions for managing and scaling applications on the AWS system. Together with Kubernetes, great achievements can be made in the area of IT and vulnerability, resulting in high performance in this field. As a storage tool I must say that it is a wonder it offers great space compared to other services I have tried and its price is a good option for companies with low budget performance. The Encryption and Compression tools are fast and secure, I implement it for creating applications in the cloud and the result is of great quality. Currently I have had errors especially with the use of the Push Repos module since it doesn't do the push and pull with the images correctly usually adding some error in the encryption. Although creating and sending images with ECR is not expensive, they often charge you for unused space without notice and you have to notify the support team of a revision to remove these annoying invoices. Entering and sending images with the aws-secret-access-key is not always frustrating and time-consuming. I like it because of its ease of access to my account and the efficiency and reliability of the product, it is a very good service and integrates with other AWS services, it is simple to host images in a repository, the results are generally efficient, it is one of the Better repository services, offers great security and can configure access to public or private, the functions are generally basic and does not require so many instructions for its first use, flexibility and ease would be its positive points, it is wonderful. It is easy to use and with a good interface to the naked eye, the integration with Amazon Web Service is very good, in addition to displaying a complete list of commands that can be used on a machine, it is really convenient and cost effective. During the time that we have been using this great service, we have not had serious problems at any time, but it would be good to improve some aspects, such as being more intuitive, adding more detailed instructions when using some of its functions, in addition to that, we have noticed that the pages tend to be somewhat slow and do not end up loading on time, and on the other hand, the login seems somewhat complicated, especially because sometimes we receive authentication errors, if these small problems are taken seriously, and they will be dedicated to innovating a little and improve would help a lot and, above all, improve the user experience. One of the main reasons why I like Amazon ECR is its low price, it is one of the aspects that you should always consider when buying a service like this. It works very well as a container registry, in addition to its authentication integration is good, especially for its ease of use, it is surprising, I feel safe with this product, in addition to offering multiple types of AWS services and I can keep the container registration that meets the needs of the company, with this tool is perfect and always achieves its goal. The only detail that I don't like is that the interface is old and not intuitive, I think that to be such a professional platform like this it should show more details in depth in its interface, at first it has been somewhat confusing, but then you get used to it. The most attractive feature of this Docker container is that it can be integrated with Amazon ECS. Another point in favor of Amazon ECR is that it allows us to work in 5 different regions which makes it a very complete program. The possibility to implement IaaS and PaaS architectures in a fully automated way makes this container a great competitor in the developer market. A negative point could be the way they charge you. Amazon ECR charges for storage and traffic which I don't think is a good thing since many times Amazon charges us exaggerated amounts and we don't know the reason or what resources we have used. I have noticed that the search engine gives erroneous and somewhat limited results, in addition to the fact that technical support takes a long time to solve any problem, for example, when loading images from Docker Hub there are errors that apparently do not have a concrete solution. The policies of this software are excellent as it allows full life cycle management of the repositories used with ECR. It allows for extensive automation to clean up unused images, another feature I like is that it has labels with prefixes for all strings given when a repository is running. The configuration allows you to set up the repositories so that your images are not overwritten it is very common to drag or push the same image either by mistake because it is copied twice into the system being able to detect these errors makes me use Amazon ECR very constantly to manage and store my images. It has a very powerful scanning tool that can identify software vulnerabilities in all the images I am using in my electronic platform. It uses an extensive database and CVE to detect errors that may be causing failures in the services provided to companies that use our applications. You can also perform a manual scan by executing code this is very attractive for users who handle an advanced programming language as is my case. Editing the configuration of an existing repository can be a bit tedious if you don't have a thorough understanding of the management console. Image scanning commands do not usually work properly all the time, so I recommend reviewing the user guides to do the whole process correctly. The Push scan usually throws a lot of errors in the process and I don't use it for this reason I resort more to a manual vulnerability scan on the system. ECR image extraction often shows errors I don't know about and I have to ask for help from the support team which takes a long time to answer or solve a problem.
