The best feature of Amazon CloudFront is the fact that rely on their own infrastructure and well connected network. The latency and overall performance of the CDN is really good. They also make use of Anycast and Geo-DNS technologies to pick the best Point of Presence to deliver the content to the end-user. Also their real-time metrics are quite useful. This comment is in general towards Amazon cloud offerings.As primarily a Microsoft shop, we don't see consistent support of Microsoft technologies in Amazon APIs. The invalidations are usually slow. We usually do partial invalidations to refresh a bunch of files from S3. This process takes longer than we would expect regarding the amount of files.
