"Effortless Data Cleaning and Consolidation Across Multiple Sources"
4/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

I was working with lakhs of data from different sources, and this really helped by automatically pulling data from all the files, standardizing column names, using fuzzy matching to catch typos in product codes, removing duplicates, joining in the master product list, and then spitting out a clean, combined file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

My work with this software has been very limited so far, and based on what I’ve done with it up to now, I haven’t found anything to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No-Code Data Manipulation, but Some Alteryx Limitations"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

Allows data manipulation without needing to write code line by line. Alteryx also is able to handle extremely large data sets unlike some other similar programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

Alteryx has moved to a cloud-based solution that requires us to load data into the cloud for processing. This shift has raised some security concerns for our IT team. Alteryx has also removed certain data publishing tools they previously offered, and now seems to rely more on the “marketplace” for creating those tools, which can lead to more bugs. "Intuitive No-Code Data Prep That Automates Daily Tasks"
4/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

Its really intuitive and easy to use, there's no coding necessary, and it allows for a comprehensive data prep process that automate a lot of my day to day tasks. It changed the way I work for complete, makes my life a lot easier because I can add even more value to my company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

I dislike the cost structure of the tool, every new package or connector changes the offer and sometimes requires new investment, that sometimes takes a long time for management to approve and it even may be denied as an additional investment. I think the cost/price is complex and is getting more complex with the consumption credits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Time Savings and Drag-and-Drop Workflows, Though the Learning Curve Is Steep"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

The best thing is the time savings once it's setup. We use it for a bit of everything, data cleaning, reporting and some automation (which was really hard doing it on excel.

drag and drop workflow is really neat. Pricing is okay, could be better. We liked the onboarding, it was helpful. AI features are not very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

The learning curve is a bit too much. Onboarding guide helped but i think the experience could be better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Fast Data Prep with Powerful Tools and a Helpful Alteryx Community"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

I find Alteryx my go to tool when I have a data challenge to solve. Very intuitive process with a wide range of tools available. Much faster than coding Sql or Python and much clearer.

I find the step my step process of adding a tool, confirming the results and moving on to the next tool prevents unexpected or invisible errors.

Very easy to combine data from a wide range of data sources.

I also appreciate the Alteryx community, very helpful for looking up issues. When I post a question it gets answered very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

The price is expensive. I think I get a good ROI, but if you don't use it a lot there could be better options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforms Data Handling with Intuitive Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

I like that Alteryx is an automation platform that allows me to collect and analyze data without needing pro coding skills. It helps in connecting with multiple data sources at a time, eliminating row limits, and creating links between data sets. It also effectively automates and reduces manual efforts by converting spreadsheets into automated workflows. After spending some time setting it up, it became quite handy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

It is not budget-friendly, the licensing cost is on a higher end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Time-Saver, but Pricey and Can Lag on Large Datasets"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

I've been using Alteryx for about a year now. While it definitely saves me time compared to writing long SQL queries, it has a few major drawbacks.

First, the pricing is incredibly high, making it hard to justify for smaller teams or individual users. Second, the software is a resource hog; it frequently slows down my computer when processing larger datasets, and the desktop app can feel dated. Lastly, while the drag-and-drop tools are great, troubleshooting error messages inside complex workflows can be incredibly frustrating and vague. It's a powerful tool, but the high cost and performance lag hold it back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

To start with, the pricing is incredibly high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Analytics That Boosts Productivity and ROI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

Alteryx makes complex data preparation and analytics accessible through its intuitive drag-and-drop interface. The UI is clean and user-friendly, allowing both technical and non-technical users to build workflows without extensive coding knowledge. Its extensive library of connectors and integrations with databases, cloud platforms, BI tools, and enterprise applications helps streamline data movement across systems.

Performance is strong for most analytics and ETL workloads, significantly reducing the time required for data preparation compared to manual processes. I also appreciate the platform's automation capabilities, which help eliminate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency. The addition of AI-powered features and predictive analytics tools enables users to uncover deeper insights and build advanced models within the same platform.

Overall, Alteryx delivers strong ROI by increasing productivity, reducing manual effort, and enabling faster decision-making across teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

The biggest drawback is pricing. Licensing costs can be difficult to justify for smaller teams or individual users, especially when competing analytics platforms offer similar capabilities at a lower price point.

While the platform is easy to learn for basic use cases, advanced features such as macros, custom tools, and workflow optimization have a steeper learning curve. Performance can also degrade when processing very large datasets or highly complex workflows, requiring careful design and optimization.

Some integrations, particularly custom Python-based workflows or newer cloud capabilities, could be more seamless. Additionally, support experiences appear to vary, and faster resolution times for complex technical issues would improve the overall customer experience.

The AI capabilities are evolving, but they still feel more like productivity enhancements than fully intelligent assistants, leaving room for further innovation in automated insight generation and workflow recommendations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Workflows That Automate Data Prep and Integrate Seamlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about Alteryx?

Visual Workflows: Instead of writing Python or SQL, you use visual “tools” connected by lines to show exactly how data is being processed. This also acts as built-in documentation for the entire workflow. No-Code / Low-Code: Users ranging from data scientists to Excel-heavy business analysts can easily clean, transform, and analyze large datasets. Time-Saving Automation: Tasks that once took hours of manual work in Excel or MS Access can be automated and run with the click of a button. Powerful Integrations: It connects easily with cloud platforms, databases, and visualization software like Tableau and Power BI. Specialized Tools: It really shines in areas like geospatial (GIS) analysis and third-party data enrichment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

nothing so far, works as expected, will see Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
