- Rapid ability to develop full solutions end to end
- Ease of use to begin, and bredth of ability through experience
- The ability it gives me to train and upskill others quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- It can be difficult to introduce to long-term Excel users
- At first it can seem a bit like a 'black box' solution to new users
- It is a bit expensive for new organizations to invest in Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Speed and ease of use. Very easy to use, even if you're not a programmer. And the speed at which is processes records is faster than anything I've worked with (SQL, Oracle, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the new releases can be buggy. Seems they are quick to put out new releases without fully vetting them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Alteryx is a data tool used for ETL work, analytics and automation. The ease of learning is quick due to its graphical user interface and ability to create workflow processes thru drag and drop tools. Our stakeholders love the Server/Gallery, allowing them to run these workflows as "apps" on-demand. We can easily implement a process faster than some of our tech partners. Support is friendly and quick. We use Alteryx as our daily data driver for ad-hoc and evergreen processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once you start using it, you are hooked!
Some of the newer Python-based tools require more rigorous testing on their end before releasing to the public. We have found bugs in them which should have been captured during QA testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Alteryx is accessible - it has a drag & drop, low/no-code, visual workflow interface that means it's easy to automate complex processes. It is often imitated never matched. I am not a techie (before Alteryx I used to spend my days in Excel doing vlookups over and over again). With even just basic Excel skills, I was able to make use of Alteryx and today I shudder at the thought of a vlookup. Anyone can change their data game with Alteryx. The only thing that Alteryx lacks is a robust visualisation tool. However, I believe this is because business intelligence tools are such a commodity now and Alteryx works by integrating seamlessly with them all - simultaneously if need be. We use Alteryx with Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, and QuickSight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Alteryx is considered as the top solution for our data analytic process. It provides easy-to-use, repeatable workflow to handle data, then produces useful insight out of data. Alteryx is now being widely utilized in our organization and it really accelarates our data-centric transition and boosts our productivity with accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not really something that dont dislike about Alteryx. If there is, maybe more flexible or reasonable licensing schema. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a single resource for ETL, Data Cleaning, Modeling, Statistics, CASS, GeoSPatial, and other analytics. It is a very low code environment that speeds up production, and the workflows are easily understandable even without a lot of documentation. I can train new users with coding experience in any other platform to use it in a matter of days. It has a wide range of tools and integrates very well with Tableau for reporting and visualization. It does not have good reporting, but it works well with Tableau, so that solves the problem, but it does require one more tool. (for a total of 2).
The things I would improve are adding more python based statistical tools (because they tend to be less finicky than R) and improving the result displays for the python tool.
The R suite is huge, but some R functions inherently have trouble with bigger datasets, though Alteryx mitigates this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The drag and drop capabilities allow me to quickly create automated data processes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As the years go by, some functionally and tools have transitioned to different code bases. They don't seem to be QA'd heavily before going to production, leaving users to figure out the bugs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a core member of R&D at medicaps, I heavily encountered data and so as data analytics platforms such as Anaconda, tableau, alteryx, etc. But alteryx has proven to be the best asset for me for the last few months in my research work. It has all kind of features that any machine learning engineer want, providing a robust and versatile platform for data modeling and feature engineering.
The best thing it saves my time by dragging and dropping features, and statistical and predictive modeling gets easy making it very popular for the beginner. Almost all the data types are supported and collaboration becomes easy with a peer group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Costs are relatively high except that this platform is best for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Alteryx is an exceptional data analytics platform that has truly revolutionized the way we handle complex data tasks. Its user-friendly interface and intuitive design make it accessible to both seasoned professionals and novices alike.
One of the standout features of Alteryx is its ability to seamlessly integrate and process data from multiple sources. This empowers users to derive meaningful insights and make informed decisions with ease. The platform's vast library of pre-built tools and templates further accelerates data processing, saving valuable time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Originally, I was put off by the cost per seat (it is hard to justify), but when you do a real ROI against that cost -- you are actually coming out ahead. People are now doing more value-added work as opposed to copying/pasting data into a dataset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
