The most important thing for us is to be able to scale real outbound without hiring even more SDRs. I set the segments and personas we care about, and the follow up and messaging gets handled,so that the team can spend their energy on the conversations that are actually going somewhere.
It requires less effort than if we ourselves tried to coordinate outbound across the team, and pipeline keeps coming in when everyone’s buried in campaigns & events. The team also really got down in the trenches during onboarding and helped us tighten our targeting and messaging as we figured out what was landing.

**What do you dislike about Alta | AI GTM System of Actions?**

I wasn't feeling comfortable until I was able to send my campaigns without reading each message first.

In the past, we applied an outbound strategy that was sporadic. We would potentially have a random rep for a week, which led to spikes before going quiet for a while.

Honestly the biggest win for us is how much busywork it takes off our plate on outbound. Before, someone on the team had to pull lists, double-check the data, dig into each account, and then build the sequence by hand. Now most of that just happens.
I also like that the outreach actually changes based on what’s going on with an account instead of everyone getting the same email. We still go in and tweak campaigns, but keeping outbound running steadily isn’t the grind it used to be.

There’s a lot you can do with it, so it took us a bit to figure out which settings actually mattered for our team.

About 40% of our demo requests are unqualified—students, competitors, or people who are just looking for a free trial. Alex filters those out within the first two minutes of a call and then either nurtures them or disqualifies them. As a result, my AEs only spend time with prospects who actually have budget, authority, and a real timeline. Their close rate has gone up because they’re no longer wasting time on the wrong conversations.

The qualification-criteria setup is pretty detailed, so you really need to know your ICP inside and out. We ended up iterating on it twice before Alex started disqualifying leads accurately.

For me, it has a great balance of automation and human input. The fact I can be very hands off if I want to be, but can also fine tune each and every aspect of a campaign. And then to be able to measure results. Support has been fantastic; helpful, friendly and always available. New features and improvements all the time. Go big, small; find a wide audience, find one or two people. Easy to use and understand, too.

It's less a dislike, more an observation: it can get complicated. You have to keep track of the bigger picture and small details. It's not a fault with the system - that's how it's designed, and it shows you what you need to know. Perhaps its message suggestions (eg for LinkedIn or email) aren't as human-sounding as they might be; the rating function (it gives each suggested message a score out of ten) doesn't particularly add much. These are minor points.

The Unified Inbox is what sold me. I can see every email, LinkedIn message, and call note for a prospect all in one thread. Before this, I had to bounce between three different tools just to understand the context of a conversation. Now I can click into one place and see the complete history immediately. It also keeps my reps accountable—they can’t hide from me anymore. I know exactly who was contacted and when.

The mobile app for the inbox is pretty basic. It works, but I can’t approve Co-Pilot drafts from my phone, so I have to wait until I’m back at my desk.

I used to run A/B tests manually: I’d write two subject lines, split the list, wait a week, check the results, and repeat. Alta handles this continuously instead. It tests subject lines, openers, and CTAs across campaigns, then automatically shifts more volume to whatever is performing best. When I checked last week, one of our subject lines had been auto-optimized from an 18% open rate to 34%.

You do lose some control. I can’t force a specific subject line if Alta decides it’s underperforming, and sometimes I want to test a bold idea but the system overrides it anyway.

We started in Co-Pilot mode because I was nervous about AI sending messages I hadn’t reviewed. That turned out to be the right call. In the first week, Katie drafted an email that referred to a prospect’s company layoffs as a “great time to buy,” which came across as tone-deaf. We caught it during review, adjusted the messaging rule, and the next batch was solid. Overall, Co-Pilot feels like the right way to start if you care about protecting your brand voice.

The inbound calling agent is honestly the main reason we signed. When someone submits a demo request or fills out a form, they get a call or an AI conversation in under a minute. It asks the right qualifying questions and then books the meeting directly onto the AE’s calendar. It also works after hours and can handle our EU prospects in their own language, which our small team could never realistically cover. On top of that, the reminders and easy rescheduling have cut our no-show rate, so the meetings it books actually happen—which matters a lot more than people tend to give it credit for.

There’s a bit of a trust curve at the beginning. We watched how it handled calls for a few weeks before letting it run solo, which was the right move in my opinion and not really a complaint. We were paying for a sequencer, a data provider, a LinkedIn tool, and a separate dialer, and none of them shared anything. A reply on LinkedIn never informed the next email, and a good call never sharpened our targeting. Alta brought it all under one roof. Katie handles outbound, Alex takes inbound calling plus qualification, and Luna works across both, feeding back what’s actually converting. The call conversations genuinely improve outbound targeting on their own, which I hadn’t seen anywhere else. And we still review first touches in Co-Pilot, so we’re the ones calling the shots—not the AI.

I’m a founder doing sales on top of everything else, so I have zero time to babysit outbound. Alta basically took it over for me. During onboarding, it pulled our messaging straight from our site, and within about two weeks Katie was running email and LinkedIn outreach that actually got replies. One prospect even thought a person wrote the opener, lol. I went from random, founder-led outreach whenever I had a second to 5–6 qualified calls a week, without needing to touch it every day.

LinkedIn needs your personal profile connected, and there are extra costs on that side, so I kept an eye on the limits early on. Nothing is broken, but if you’re a tiny team, it’s worth monitoring so you don’t get caught out.

Katie pulls a prospect’s recent LinkedIn activity plus company context into the opener, so it reads like one of my reps actually did the research. Email, LI, and a calling step all live in one sequence too, which means no more juggling three tools that don’t talk to each other. The two-way Salesforce sync logs everything automatically, so the team stopped re-entering activity. We ran Co-Pilot for the first few weeks to review the early touches, then flipped to Auto-Pilot once the quality held up.

In some cases, it’s even better than what my reps were writing.

Good news on the distance search: you can already do that today. It's called Google Maps View, in the campaign builder. You drop a pin on a location and set a radius in miles, so something like "50 miles from DFW" works directly, with no need to select cities one by one.

And the job title, department, and city filters are in there too, in the Define Your ICP step under Contact Filters. Once you've set your audience you can narrow down by exactly those.

I like that Katie actually takes care of the repetitive work we never had time for. The platform is easy to use, and the campaigns are easy to set up. What’s worked really well for us is the way it combines email, LinkedIn and calling steps—it’s more natural, and we’ve seen better engagement because of it. It picks up on signals we don’t always catch ourselves, like companies hiring or showing intent online.

I like how Katie is using the combination of buying signals and research info to get us meetings and help SDrs to focus on very targeted accounts. Also it integrates flawlessly with Hubspot. The AI automation process uses email and LinkedIn messages to provide human vibe and more engagement.
