I like the analytics dashboard and the ability to review suggested synonyms in addition to creating my own Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not an intuitive interface and there is very little hands on support, not good if you do not have an in house developer familiar with the product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Algolia is how fast and accurate the search is. Even if users make spelling mistakes, it still shows the right results. The setup was easy, especially with React. We were able to integrate it quickly without any big issues. The filters and ranking options are very helpful to show exactly what we want to highlight in the results. The only thing I don’t like much is the pricing. It can get expensive if your site grows or you have a lot of users. Also, some useful features like A/B testing or advanced personalization are not included in the basic plan. For new or small teams, this could be a challenge. Algolia has made a huge difference in how our search works. Queries come back so quickly that it feels instant for users, and I really like having the ability to tweak relevance until it’s just right. Their docs were easy to follow, and the dashboard is pretty straightforward — I was able to get it running and make adjustments without much hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, the speed is what blew me away first. It's incredibly fast — like, results-show-up-before-you-finish-typing fast. That kind of responsiveness makes a huge difference in how polished and professional your app feels.
The other big plus is how developer-friendly it is. The documentation is solid, and the pre-built components (like InstantSearch) save a ton of time. You can get something working really quickly without needing to build a full search engine from scratch.
And once you're set up, you have a lot of control over how search results are ranked — which is huge. You can prioritize results based on business logic (like popularity, freshness, stock levels, etc.), not just basic keyword matching.

The biggest downside for me is the pricing. It starts off feeling reasonable, but as your data grows or your traffic increases, the costs can ramp up pretty quickly — especially if you have a lot of records or complex search features. You really have to keep an eye on usage to avoid surprise bills.
Also, while the basics are easy to set up, some of the more advanced features have a bit of a learning curve. Things like custom ranking, replicas, or multi-language support can get a little technical. It's powerful, but not always beginner-friendly if you're trying to do anything beyond the default setup.
And finally, a small thing, but the dashboard UI can feel a bit clunky when you're managing multiple indices or filters — it’s not bad, just not as smooth as you'd expect for such a polished product.

we had integrated algolia in our fibre infrastructure, for location indexing and product filtering, and result were top notch, it helped user to find accurate location with help developer team top manage product on line, solid 5 out of 5 from me, it is budget friendly option for large businesses, and very convenient Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i have observed no downside of algolia, the only thing i have observably found that there were quite less video sources on internet, for users, i recommend algolia team to make video tutorials more Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
