Algolia offers a modern alternative to search functionalities with easy indexing, good documentation, and typo tolerance. A significant benefit of it is that you can use it for everything and implement it with most, if not all, popular coding languages. If your project is written with PHP, JS, or even React, you can quickly pick it up and create endless possibilities. I like that it allows me to work with PHP and have the option to create UI components rapidly. Another benefit of Algolia is the huge community of developers who can help you if you struggle with something, just jump into the Algolia community forum and ask, or even tag some Algolia Team members - they're always happy to help you as long as you describe your issue properly and provide details where you stuck. Honestly, there aren't many things that I dislike, although a recent change in the Dashboard UI made some options more difficult to access than the previous UI/UX revisions.

We had several sales calls with Algolia to determine it was the right product for our client. Then when we entered into an agreement we had very detailed weekly onboarding sessions to teach us about the tool. The dashboard is very user friendly and there's so many different features. We're excited about the level of control we'll have with this tool compared to the default site search tools through a CMS like Drupal or Wordpress, or ElasticSearch via AWS. This is nice because we can see why a search is ranking a certain way right through the dashboard and will save us time from having to do trial and error to make the site search as relevant as possible. I love the visual editor in Algolia, it is very easy to use. The analytics also provide very valuble insights that can be used to then create or edit rules or synonyms.
