Branched out to Customer Satisfaction Surveys (CSATs). Moved away from those and now the focus is on Employee Satisfaction Surveys (ESATs) and general employee surveys. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** Some of the default presets, but they can be adjusted as needed. **Recommendations to others considering Alchemer Survey:** When we initally brought on Alchemer it was mainly for scoring tests for our new hires. Now we've branched off to using surveys for mail campaigns, satisfaction surveys and the miscellaneous item. It has drawbacks, which I'll mention later, but it also succeeds in areas that Qualtrics fails. (We use both Alchemer and Qualtrics at my company). For instance, in Alchemer it's easy for a user to nickname or change the codes on a variable's response outcomes. The UI just feels more intuitive overall. There are lots of customization options. I've done some advanced work with the API and found it approachable though I'm still new to it. Overall though, I like what I see. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** Qualtrics still beats Alchemer in a couple of ways. First, Alchemer desperately needs a mechanism like Qualtrics' "survey flow" that allows a user to get a bird's eye view of the entire survey. Most of the questions/issues I have run into while creating surveys were easily searchable in their help documentation, but for the few times that I wasn't able to find a solution in their help documentation, their customer support staff (phone and email) were friendly and knowledgable and helped me solve the problem quickly. The best thing I like about the Alchemer software is that there are so many options available for creating customized surveys. I also really like the automated reports (with tables and charts) you can create for survey responses, with the ability to filter results based on responses to one or more questions. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** This isn't a 'dislike' necessarily, and I don't really have experience with other paid-for survey software, but I will say that the learning curve was rather steep for understanding how to implement more complex logic/use custom code in my Alchemer surveys. I am impressed with their customer service - everyone I've called when needing help has gone over and above to make sure I am well taken care of. I am especially impressed with the extensive customization options - and that they are organized in such a way that I am only learning about them as I need them. In other words, I'm not overwhelmed with too many options too quickly. I searched for months for a quiz builder that could output more than one score for each user, and I'm thrilled that it can do not only that, but so far, everything else I've needed it to do. It keeps surprising me. Honestly, I'm convinced it's the best service of its kind out there. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** I've noticed that problems are quickly resolved on their own, or I can find workarounds to keep working in the meantime. For example, I have sometimes been unable to delete a library item (global question) from my survey. It looks like I'm deleting it, but it never goes away. So I isolate the question onto a page of its own and then I can successfully delete the whole page. Another example is when I was trying to delete the library item (global question), instead of deleting, it duplicated itself and the question numbering ended up out of order. Refreshing the page never seemed to help. Again, isolating the library item onto its own page and deleting the page kept me moving forward. **Recommendations to others considering Alchemer Survey:** Shop around if you need to to increase your confidence in the decision, but I think you'll agree that it truly is the best. **What problems is Alchemer Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a powerful lead generating tool.
