It provides many pre-populated resources that are useful during the ideation phase. The auto-generated reports, and the "realtime" function is great to get results insights easily and prior to building out a more robust reporting analysis. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** Some of the finer engineering features could be improved to make the building process more intuitive. Things like [1] keeping the survey ID readable in custom domain links or alphabetizing field mapping list when doing push/pull actions would make the design and build experience more palpable without having to call customer services. It would also be great to have the campaign field titles be customizable beyond the alloted 10 - I have had to use fields titled "city" or "address" for data that is not related to that title because I needed more than 10 custom fields. Upon getting a subscription, I jumped in and started building surveys. Some aspects took trial and error to learn, but overall... I was able to build large, fairly complex surveys with different logic and branches without external how-to content or the need to call customer service. Speaking of customer service, I have had a few special needs that required HTML alterations. I found the customer service team to be very helpful and very timely with their responses and solutions. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** I'd like to see the data output and data formatting to more closely resemble that of Qualtrics. It was super easy to get set up and running too. Their customer support has been great during the process. We have used the software in the past, when it was called Survey Gizmo and it has since had many more developments and features added. Excellent value for money. The reporting feature is also great, it automatically creates charts for you - which allows you to visualise the data and start building a story very quickly. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** I'm struggling to think of anything, but one thing that could potentially be improved is the look and feel of the questionnaires (from a respondent perspective). **What problems is Alchemer Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fantastic to have an in house tool at our finger tips to run adhoc projects as soon as we like, without having to rely on third parties. ### 29. We use Alchemer to run customer experience surveys, employee satisfaction surveys, in-person event signups, newsletter signups, newsletter quizzes, health questionnaires, product development questionnaires, and brand studies. We even used it to collect payments for a service-based product. We do these things for multiple clients, in multiple languages, and with a tiny team. It's proven to be an incredibly versatile tool for us. Their online documentation usually answers our questions, but customer support quickly responds for items that aren't. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** The API sends data in several tables that have to get stitched together. We built a special tool in our data lake to piece everything back together for client reporting in our app and to have additional campaign triggers in our marketing orchestration system. **What problems is Alchemer Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** All of them. ### 30. It's pretty simple to accomplish most everything I need, and I'm able to find good documentation for when I need to do something new. I rarely have to reach out to support to get help. They are complicated -- with lots of conditional formatting and piping. The Alchemer UX is very intuitive and overall I'm very pleased with the platform. The reporting is also good (the look/feel of reports has improved in the last few years). The best thing of all is the customer service. They answer the phones and email messages FAST. I literally just asked a question by email and got a response in about 3 minutes. (This is why I decided to leave this review -- I love their customer support.) For this issue alone, I'm a loyal customer. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** The only thing about Alchemer I think can be improved -- even though it's not bad -- is the look and feel of surveys from the end-user perspective (i.e., the survey taker). I've used Survey Monkey but not liked the limited capability it offers. And I've used Qualtrics but not been able to afford it. Alchemer Survey offers a great compromise - functionality that far outpaces Survey Monkey, but at a price that is far more budget friendly than Qualtrics. The selection of question types, piping, skip logic, and redirects is what I need. **What do you dislike about Alchemer Survey?** I am on an older plan that is no longer offered, and I'm not sure what's going to happen if I fall back to the free plan and then want to upgrade later. A previous downgrade-upgrade cycle seems to have lost data, though I can't confirm that another user didn't accidentally delete it. And there are rare occasions when I would really like to use a question type that I don't have access to - but it's not worth upgrading just to get access to it. **What problems is Alchemer Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Alchemer Survey to solicit feedback from industry professionals under a variety of applied research projects. I am able to anonymize the responses appropriately yet also provide respondents a means of giving contact information for follow-up without tying that to their initial responses (by using two surveys with the anonymous one redirecting to the non-anonymous one based on how they answer a qualifying question).
