Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch Reviews & Product Details

We had these installed over a year ago and they have never worked correctly or been able to do what we need. I would not say that there is anything I like best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Between the installer and Alcatel-Lucent neither have been willing/able to fix the issues we have. They made assurances prior to the install that their switches could do what we need, and that has not been the case. We have had issues with repeated ducked phone calls and unanswered emails. Alcatel-Lucent Omniswith product line comes from Alcatel who have rich and vast experience in L2 switching technology. Their R&D arm hails back from a team of highly experienced engineers from communication industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There's really nothing that happens to be a dislike. One imp aspect, they can improve is on their marketing (which is currently underdone), public events and most importantly partner ecosystem+ distributor channel. And probably price-point is something they can revisit to make them more competitive. However, all in all they are absolutely value for money product kind of company. The CLI is very simple and it's the same command lines on pretty much all the switch of the brand.

Very good quality of the component so you can have it for a while.

A lot of different switch for every budget.
