"Perfect Fit for Complex Scheduling Needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

I like that administering the Aladtec by TCP system is much more friendly than our previous program. It works well with our twenty-four forty-eight and twelve-hour schedules. The fact that the implementation team did a phenomenal job and helped us whenever we needed also makes me appreciate it more. Now, I feel more comfortable using it. What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

There's not a lot that hasn't worked well but there are a few things that could be enhanced. I've submitted several feature requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Pleased with Scheduling and Hour Tracking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

It seems to do well with our schedule and hour tracking, overall very pleased Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

Maybe the dashboard by not being able to approve all "call in hours" at one time you have to click on them separately the performance and integration with our other programs seems very good, support is good, pricing is not bad as compared to other comparable programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nancy Newton of Aladtec by TCP

Thanks for the review! Glad Aladtec is working well for your scheduling and crew communication. We'll pass along your feedback on call-in hour approvals!

"User-Friendly, Flexible with Room to Grow"
4/5
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

I find Aladtec by TCP to be more user-friendly compared to the previous software we used. The interface between the user and the software is better, making it easier to manage tasks like assigning crews to stations and shifts, and handling shifts, vacations, etc. It's beneficial as it cuts down on the amount of interaction needed between administrators, battalion chiefs, and firefighters, which streamlines manpower management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

The biggest issue I've got with Aladtec by TCP is the way the daily manpower is presented, the format is just not as visually pleasing as what I was used to with a previous employer. We're finding more ways to adjust it to what we need, but we're just not there yet. There's also a learning curve, especially with firefighters needing to communicate with software engineers, which means we had to teach each other terms and expectations. Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad Aladtec has saved you time and found it to be user-friendly. I will be sure to share your feedback with our product team as well. Thank you for the review.

"User-Friendly and Easy to Navigate except for the APP"
4/5
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

It is user friendly for the most. I like the fact that you can create forms with relative eas to fit needs for the department. You can click your way through and figure things out without a lot of knowledge of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

The APP for Aladtec is horrible. It's hard to use and seems extremely limited in what it allows me to do. I always click on the full site when on my phone as it's just way easier. I NEVER use the App. In simple terms.... it sucks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nancy Newton of Aladtec by TCP

Thank you for your review! I will pass on your app info to our product team.

"Streamlined Scheduling with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

I like Aladtec by TCP for its ease of use, which makes it straightforward to handle tasks. The paging feature is valuable as it allows me to communicate with my whole team effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

I feel like the paging system in Aladtec by TCP could be improved to support two-way chat. When pages are sent out to employees, it would be great if they could respond via message, and if the admin could view and reply if needed. Also, work group chats could be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nancy Newton of Aladtec by TCP

Thank you for the kind words — and for the specific feedback on paging. Two-way messaging and group chat are great suggestions. We'll make sure that gets in front of our product team. Glad Aladtec is making scheduling and communication easier for your team!

What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

What I like best about Aladtec is that everything I need is all in one system. Birth dates, hire dates, driver’s license information, time off, and much more are all available in one place, which makes it easy to find what I’m looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

Everything about Aladtec is good. There isn't one thing I dislike about it. It's easy to get questions answered if I need help or need some explanation with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Aladtec Streamlines Scheduling with Powerful Automation—Worth the Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

Aladtec has been a major improvement over our former scheduling software, which was actually just a printed calendar using a Microsoft Word document. Each time we made a change, we printed off another set of pages, which obviously created multiple versions of the schedule floating around, and led to people not always knowing when to work. One of my favorite features is the automated process for creating the next month's schedule. The program allows the user to create shift rotations, and once entered (which does take some manual entry time) it knows exactly how to fill the schedule for the next months and even years. That has been the biggest time-saver for me, as I would have to manually enter each person's name onto a new month's page, so basically starting over each time. Aladtec eliminated all of that. The program let's the admin enter benefit time calculations, so things like vacation time, comp time and sick time are all tracked and accounted for. It also keeps track of the hours that are accumulated over time, and what is available for each employee to use. That is another huge time saver, and eliminated trying to track those hours manually. Best of all, in my opinion, is that the employee is required to "sign-off" on their submitted time card, and they stipulate that what they have entered and read is factual and accurate. No more arguing about exactly how many vacation hours or sick time someone used; they just acknowledged it was correct as presented. There are many more time saving features, but those are my main winners. It is overall convenient, easy to use (once mastered) and the customer support has been very responsive to my requests for clarification of a feature or a process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

The downside, and it isn't really a dislike at all, with Aladtec is to be expected I believe, and that is the somewhat steep learning curve to understand and master all of the nuances in the program. It is full of features and automation of what was once a manual job, so it is understandable that it takes a little time to get used to and become comfortable with the processes. Once that happens though, the "lightbulb goes on" in your head and it makes total sense. So don't be overwhelmed, take the time to understand those things, and let the support folks do what they do best, which is helping us learn how to use a fairly complex piece of software. It takes some time to set up, but that is well worth the effort because the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. I would also like to see the mobile product improved and bring in more of the features that are available with the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
