Depending on a few pre-set Rules and Queries, It acts as a strong Wall for the Bot and DDOS attack to mitigate It's user-friendly features will help us to identify the issues and from there we can work on solutions. Support from the Akami Support Center is also very helpful and also their proactive alerting notification mechanism will help notify the Attacks and actions In daily life, Akami Place a vital role in my organisation. Rule modifications and configure changes can be done very easily **What do you dislike about Akamai App & API Protector?** Although the predefined security policies simplify protection, more advanced users may find that the level of control offered by Akamai WAP is not as granular as some on-premise WAFs or more customizable cloud options In comparison to dedicated WAF providers, Akamai WAP may lack some specialized features or granular controls that competitors like Cloudflare or Imperva offer. **What problems is Akamai App & API Protector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Protect against attacks, DDOS mitigation, Bot mitigation Traffic management, API Security, Low down time ### 2. Easy set up while we were setting up our Ecom environment. Akamai was serving as our front end WAF. Very good response Time in case of potential attacks or threat to the Web Application. **What do you dislike about Akamai App & API Protector?** I do not remember of anything that I disliked about this product. **Recommendations to others considering Akamai App & API Protector:** I am not sure if the Akamai Web Application protector and Akamai WAF are the same.
