Ease of setup and maintenance. Aiven really takes out the complexity for us to host Kafka.
The setup is very reliable and can be easily scaled without any interruptions.

It was straightforward to get a cluster started and get a proof of concept working. Also, the all-inclusive billing model is great when trying to determine costs for budget planning. I think our company's experience with customer support has been a bit rough. There have been a number of times where we experienced issues with out cluster and nobody seemed to be able to figure out what was wrong, so we just had to try a bunch of things until something worked.
