I love how smart the search is to make it easy to find photos and videos. Some integrations in Air feel unnecessary, and I don’t always use them. For example, the AI features on the site aren’t something I prefer; I’d rather stick to Air’s ordinary purpose and avoid using extra power and water in the world. What I like best about Air is that is VISUAL. Everything is laid out very in a very clean design that helps me find the content I need very quickly. I also love how easy it is to share links to specific assets, we are a mostly remote team lately, so if I have something I need to share for approval I can upload a draft of a video without worrying that another team member may find it and think it's a final version, because only certain members have access to the "Drafts" folder. Something Pixieset does that Air does not do, is upload beautiful grids of photos that are laid next to each other... I realize Air does this to an extent, but what I'm talking about specifically is the amount of portrait vs landscape photos we take, Pixieset fills in all the blank spaces so it doesn't look like a boring grid, it looks like a grid that if completely filled in. The biggest problem that Air solves for us is storage and organization for photo and videos assets. I have found that it is only as helpful as I make it, meaning that I can make it much more helpful and organized as I label assets and place them in folders in thoughtful ways. It's very helpful working among team members, I create the assets and share a folder of all the necessary assets for team mates so that can download and know they have all the assets needed to then upload for ads or whatever initiative they are working on. I use Air for uploading videos, and it's super easy to use, which is very helpful for downloading and creating marks for changes. It really helps my creative workflow and has become an everyday part of my environment. I love the transcription feature because it makes my life easier. When I need to search through footage, I don't even watch it; I just read the transcription. The initial setup was very intuitive. Currently, if a file is dragged into the wrong folder, it can be difficult to quickly retrace steps and locate where it ended up especially in larger, more complex workspaces. A helpful improvement would be adding an “undo” feature for asset movements, or a more visible recent activity/history log that clearly shows where files were moved. Before using Air, we struggled with keeping creative assets organized across multiple platforms, especially when using tools like OneDrive. Files were often spread out, difficult to search for, and challenging to keep up to date particularly when managing multiple versions of the same asset. This made it time-consuming to locate the right files and created inefficiencies in our workflow. Now, we’re able to manage, store, and organize all project files and final assets in one centralized platform. Features like smart search and customizable labels make it easy to quickly find exactly what we need, while version uploads allow us to track iterations seamlessly—something that’s especially valuable in a design workflow where multiple rounds of revisions are common. As a result, we’ve significantly reduced the time spent searching for assets and managing file versions. What used to take several minutes per search now takes seconds, and the improved organization has helped streamline collaboration across the team. I like how easy it is to use and all the different subfolders. I also wish there was more color coordinating that could happen to visually be able to look at things that way. I find the stack feature in Air to be a gamechanger in my process as a motion designer. Instead of exporting and managing 7 or 8 different video files for each version, I can have a single Air item with all the versions, making it more useful and less confusing for those in charge of reviewing. The video preview has issues, as the quality is usually reduced and the audio breaks sometimes. The videos are optimized for fast web preview, but when reviewing, I usually want to watch them at full quality. It would be good to have an option to watch in full resolution. Initially, the setup was a bit confusing since it's cloud-based, but it is very intuitive. I'd recommend downloading the file directly to the computer when reviewing videos to ensure watching in full quality, since it became a problem where managers thought my video was in low resolution and it took time to figure out.
