## About Aeqium
Aeqium is the only agentic compensation planning platform that executes merit cycles, salary bands, and executive analytics with the security, audit trails, and controls enterprises require. Built to match any level of compensation complexity, no system expert needed. Most compensation planning platforms make a tradeoff: power or ease. The more capable they become, the more rigid they get, and the more your team depends on specialists, consultants, or support tickets to get anything done. Teams end up back in spreadsheets to fill the gaps. Aeqium is built on a different belief. Powerful software should not become its own burden. Aeqium's AI execution agent handles the complexity natively, so the platform bends to how your organization works, not the other way around. Custom workflows, configurable logic, and full comp cycle execution in plain language, without calling support every time something needs to change. With Aeqium, HR and Finance teams can run merit cycles, bonuses, promotions, and equity in one place. Managers get a clear, guided experience. Leaders get the budget visibility and audit trail they need. And the people running the process get a platform that matches how they work, at any scale.

## Aeqium Reviews
 ### 1. Intuitive, Highly Customizable, and Seamlessly Integrated—With Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leigh Ann S. | Head of Cash Compensation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

The software is very intuitive, and we really like how customizable both the reporting and the tool itself are. It integrates easily with all of our current software (UKG, Shareworks, etc.). Setup and onboarding were straightforward, and our rep is a gem—always so helpful and responsive. The AI tool for reporting and custom formulas also makes it easy for anyone who isn’t a numbers person to build whatever they need.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Anything we've had issues with (using preferred names vs legal names) Aeqium was able to find a solution for us.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving from doing compensation in spreadsheets to using software like this is truly night and day. It keeps everything in one place, so if I need to see what compensation adjustment was submitted two cycles ago, it’s right there. If I need to remind a manager to review files and submit them, that’s handled through the software and the Slack integration. And when I need data analytics, the AI reporting gets it done. The performance of the software is also top notch. Any changes you make are instantly updated to all levels.

 ### 2. Simple, Intuitive UI That Accelerates Compensation Cycle Design

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Aeqium’s simplicity and user interface make it extremely easy for business end users to design in and understand. It also enables compensation teams to fully configure and design the system and compensation cycles without having to spend time translating design choices and business requirements for system teams. This accelerates the way we work and increases the velocity of the impact we’re able to make.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

I think there’s a lot of opportunity to further develop and expand the AI features Aeqium has to offer. Even if some of these improvements are already on the roadmap, I’ve noticed that other competing tools may already include similar capabilities and more AI-assisted functionality.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to fully be able to own the design and configuration of our compensation cycles has been a tremendous game changer in the way we work. It has enhanced the speed of what we are able to execute on and allows us to be creative in how we use the functionality (not just dedicated to Comp Cycles).

 ### 3. Streamlined and User-Friendly Compensation Planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

This reviewer's identity has been verified by our review moderation team. They have asked not to show their

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Aeqium is very intuitive and easy to use. I really like having compensation data, merit budgets, and recommendations all in one place. It made our merit planning process much more organized and gave both HR and managers better visibility throughout the cycle.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

One area I’d like to see improved is the export functionality. Currently, certain reports or files are sent via email, and I would prefer the option to download them directly within Aeqium. Having everything accessible in the system would make the process quicker and more seamless.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aeqium has helped streamline our compensation planning process by bringing merit budgets, employee compensation data, and manager recommendations into one place. It has made the process much easier to manage from an HR perspective while also giving managers better visibility and a more straightforward way to make compensation decisions.

 ### 4. Simple, Customizable UI Backed by Exceptional Customer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon Jon N. | Associate Director Total Rewards, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account added to their profile

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

I enjoy using the simple user interface/customization features, especially when creating something as complex as a comp cycle. What puts this product over the top is the exceptional customer support! Great value and made life easier as a Total Rewards professional.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Not much, to be honest. I feel like any of the issues that came up, I was able to talk through and obtain the necessary support from Will/team at Aeqium.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Aeqium, I managed multiple spreadsheets for our Comp Cycle, Total Rewards statements that was a pain to maintain. Aeqium allowed me to be more efficient.

 ### 5. Customizable, User-Friendly, and Quick to Learn

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miles M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

I like that Aeqium is super quick and easy to set up, which was great when short on time. The data integrations work pretty well, making it simpler to bring everything together. I really appreciate how customizable it is; you're able to write formulas in the back of the product to create and display the data you want, which gives a lot of flexibility. It's also very easy and quick to learn, which is really helpful for me and my stakeholders, especially when we need to get up to speed fast. The customizability and ease of learning are definitely my two favorite features.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

There were very minor things that didn't work for us, like situations where data was pulling through and we weren't sure why. It was related to our integration with Workday but involved a very small portion of data (3-4 cases out of 2,400 employee). When raised to Aeqium, they fixed it right away. Overall, it was a minor issue.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aeqium streamlines our compensation cycle, connects users on a single platform, and is highly customizable. It's quick to set up, easy to learn, and integrates well with data systems, providing a better display and user experience than our previous software.

 ### 6. Flexible, Intuitive Compensation Planning with Aeqium

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

I have loved using Aeqium for compensation planning cycles. It's incredibly flexible and intuitive. It combines the versatility of spreadsheets with the ease & tracking of a system.
Implementing and setting up our integrations was simple. Support has been responsive and attentive. Building a cycle within the tool was simple and worked just as expected.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Based on my team’s needs, we didn’t encounter any downsides.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company needed a more flexible tool for compensation planning. In the past we had used a different system that lacked flexibility and required significant effort to build. We then used spreadsheets which were more flexible, but the admin load of managing the spreadsheets was high and lacked traceability. We decided to look at options for a tool that would better fit our needs and decided to go with Aeqium. Our most recent cycle (which included our whole company of >2.5K employees) was done completely in Aeqium. It helped us deliver a great planning experience for managers, satisfy audit requirements, and lessen the admin burden for the comp team, freeing up more time for value-added work during the cycle.

 ### 7. Flexible, easy to set up and easy to use, great UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deirdre D. | Global Salary & Reward Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

The UI is great. It was easy to set up, managers could easily read the information and make their changes. I also liked that the sales team were honest. If it couldn't do something they told me so.

Customer support team were really responsive. I don't think I ever waited more than an hour or two for a response.

We moved from spreadsheets to Aeqium and it made my job of running our pay review so much less stressful.

Our HRIS is one that doesn't have an API with other software so I cannot comment on integration but even with doing manual uploads of data it wasn't complicated.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Nothing I can say I dislike, there are a few tweaks I think would make it even better - some adjustments to reporting and budgeting and the ability to set by formula how annual salary is calculated.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to do pay reviews on spreadsheets and there was often issues with formulas being different in one place, the wrong thing might be copied over, managers changing information that shouldn't be changed, sorting only part of the columns so the information is out of sync. I spent hours transferring data and double and triple checking things. The spreadsheets were also quite large because we showed the benchmark range across a few different columns and compa-ratio and range penetration to show where the individual was. Aeqium has one graphic that shows the range, where they sit on it and where the proposed salary will take them. It simplifies a lot of columns of data and is much easier for managers to understand.

The main reason we chose Aeqium is to make the pay review process easier on the managers and the feedback from them was very good. We were able to involve more layers of managers this year as most of them picked up how to use the platform with a 10-15 minute tour.

 ### 8. A great platform with lots of potential!

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Aeqium is a great tool that I use pretty much every day for maintaining/looking up compensation bands, checking internal comp parity with current team members, and checking the competitiveness of offers compared to our ranges. I'm a huge fan of their support team; every time we've encountered an issue they respond lightning-fast and are willing to hear out my feedback.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

There are still a few features I'd like to see Aeqium grow into, including syncing offers with our ATS (Ashby), ability to do more updates within the platform (i.e. adding a level to an existing ladder requires a new upload rather than updating a field in the platform), and more native support for pay mixes (i.e. assigning a pay mix to a job ladder/level and calculating an offer statement based on the pay mix assigned to the role).

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Storing and sharing compensation bands
- Running compensation cycles
- Making it easy for managers to see their teams' compensation and comp range placement
- Impressing candidates with fun offer statements

Aeqium makes compensation planning and management easy and efficient.

 ### 12. Aeqium solved so many of the challenges our startup had with compensation management & communication

Where to start? There are so many things. First, the comprehensive set of offerings: from managing comp bands to compensation planning, employee visibility to their Total Rewards, manager visibility into their team's compensation to visual offer letters for candidates. It's the full package! I also love the great UX, flexibility when configuring comp cycles and ability to assign different user permission levels. Overall, I can't think of anything it's missing.

I like the visualization of the bands in the review cycle and in the comp ranges.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Aeqium is still relatively in the developing stage. They occasionally have bugs and there were several feature requests we asked for. They need to expand their job-leveling architecture to include codes and grades.
We still have to do the pre-work on our bands and ranges prior to uploading them to the tool but we can adjust them when within the tool.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us facilitate our compensation review and equity refresh cycles. They allow us to manage our compensation bands and provide our employees with a total rewards statement and pay transparency.

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

I loved seeing the tool developing in the last year. I think what I like the most is how much their support team has been open to feedback and so quick to action on the things we've discussed with them as product improvements.

In terms of the tool itself, I enjoy the look of the ranges and where people are in the range. I think it creates a very easy visual when looking at a team and in our comp cycles.

I personally have worked more on the My Comp/Total Rewards section of the tool. I think it's helpful that employees can select the plans they are using and it's great that we can do either total value amounts or percentage of OTE or base.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

The product is still developing, so there are a few things that still need to be worked out. For example, I dislike the lack of flexibility in the Benefits section, where we can't select our own benefits categories or hyperlink things well.

This makes the benefits and total rewards feature somewhat limited. Something easy to add would be an "other" or "time off" category or more custom benefit category options.

Additionally, setting up this feature is also a bit hard because it's all location-based, and we'd need more filters for rules preferably. For example, we can't filter out the benefits we show to temporary employees rather than full time employees.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are helping us run our compensation and equity cycles, as well as helping us show a total rewards statement to our employees. Lastly, we will use Aeqium to comply with pay transparency laws.

 ### 24. Aeqium is a great product and easy to use

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Aequim is very simple yet powerful tool in my day to day management of my team. Our team's compensation is highly variable and has multiple different facets that go into an individual's total comp package. Aeqium allows me to not only see how my own personal compensation package breakdown but also for each of direct and indirect reports in a straightforward and easy to use UI. I would highly suggest this tool for compensation planning and management for teams of all sizes.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

I don't have too much critical feedback to date. It's been easy to jump right in to use the tool especially around Compensation analysis periods.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing my team's individual compensation broken down in an easy to read and analyze UI.

 ### 25. Aeqium is a game changer

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Aeqium is a great, modern tool for managing compensation. It provides flexibility, insights, and mechanics for both managing compensation rounds as well as exploring and analyzing compensation. This combination of insights and execution has surpassed any expectation I had of people management software.

Also, I love that the software is fast!

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

I wish there was a bit more ability to contextualize nuanced comp history in that particular view. This is a hard problem though in that every company is different.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing comp rounds across all factors - salary bonus and equity

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

No more spreadsheets. Aeqium has empowered us to conduct our comp reviews quickly, while increasing the ease of including more perspectives from different managers all while keeping an easy approval process.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

There were times when we had to tweak some formulas to make it work for our comp model but the team was incredibly responsive in helping us make those adjustments.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aeqium helps us run our compensation and promotion cycles like clockwork. Additionally it gives our employees a much better picture of their total rewards including equity than we had before.

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

The employees at Aeqium are very helpful and provide great customer support. They actively listen to product requests, and will roll out features within reasonable time if it's something that is beneficial to multiple companies. They are very responsive during implementation, or throughout the year when a request is needed. They also are very open to feedback from their customers. The tool itself is easy to use, has a good UI, easy to set up to start using. I would say the learning curve to use the tool is fairly easy.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

The way Aeqium thinks about compensation is more geared/tailored to smaller start up type of technology companies. To build out some of the job architecture in their system, it requires some manual mapping of job codes to what they call "Job Ladder" and "Job Level". It also doesn't seem to support a grading structure which makes sense because most start-up type of organizations does not use a formal grade structure.

Things are frequently changing without communication to customers. This can be frustrating because the product feature updates may impact other areas of the tool. Unlike other systems, that roll out things over the weekend and give an update, we will randomly log in on the week day and notice a functionality/feature change.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compensation cycles, pay transparency, and total rewards statements. This is helping us be more transparent with employees about their compensation package, and provide a holistic view of their Total Rewards package. We also are able to record compensation cycles in an area and not worry about extra security and use spreadsheets.

 ### 28. Finally a tool that works for scale up companies

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

I love that that free version of the software allows companies to start managing their salary bands and get away from the spreadsheet madness. Companies can upload the salary structure they have already built and with very little effort start managing access to salary bands across the organization. From there they can sign up for other modules to run their annual salary/merit review cycles, conduct a pay equity analysis and more.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

As much as I like that there are a lot of modules, it can also be overwhelming. Some of the tools e.g. offer letters may already be covered in other systems e.g. ATS and not get as much use.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consultant I design salary structures for companies. These generally are developed in spreadsheets. After the design things start getting complicated e.g. spreadsheets need to be shared with executives, then only certain managers should have access, spreadsheets get copied and mistakes are made etc. Aeqium allows companies to upload their already designed structure and then manage it and everything that goes along with it in one tool.

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Overall, an amazing experience working with Peter and the team. We moved from a Gsheet-based review to Aeqium in only a few months. Aeqium took the time to understand our business needs and it showed.

Some highlights to note:

The experience of getting managers logged in and using the tool was extremely smooth (intuitive UI)

Any customization was very smooth and it was easy to make the tool match our unique processes

Amazing support, Aeqium “understood the complexities of our process” and helped the team through any troubles/issues

Unparalleled customer support. Any questions we had were answered the same day

One leader messaged us saying "[Aeqium is] so efficient. [It] does exactly what we need!"

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

We have been very proactive about feedback and are very happy with how quickly features and improvements are shipped. Anything we have disliked about Aeqium has already been addressed or is on the roadmap to be addressed.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our comp cycle used to take ages to prep, downloading information from our HRIS and inputting it into custom spreadsheets, sending and compiling. There were always manual errors or things that changed mid-cycle we weren't able to catch. Now that we've configured our review, all we have to do is copy over the cycle and make a few changes. I don't doubt the data and it's a much simpler process overall.

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Aeqium is an extremely clean and easy-to-use product that makes Comp Cycles smooth and efficient. The system is a quick learn and very customizable for companies to use and integrate.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Budget functionality is still in the process of finalizing. Sometimes the exports do not export in the same format as the numbers you put in which makes auditing a little cumbersome.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aeqium is helping us keep each FTE's compensation total rewards statements clean and presentable. The system does a great job implementing with Workday to keep these statements up-to-date and accurate.

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

Great experience overall!
The ability to customize a compensation review cycle is a major benefit of using Aeqium. We were able to import/add fields that our leaders desired. The easy access for managers/reviewers made the process smooth and enjoyable for all involved. The biggest benefit to me personally as an admin was the support. Any question or issue I had was answered within 24 hours and their support was five stars every time.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Every piece of feedback we provided was either implemented or on the roadmap to be implemented.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting away from manual compensation reviews via spreadsheets and email.

**What do you like best about Aeqium?**

The tool is straightforward to use; it equally supports managers, admin, and employees with the simplicity and information available. Our managers can find what they need, and it's reduced the amount of time our HR team spends on compensation questions. I also appreciate how responsive the Aeqium team is to my many questions.

**What do you dislike about Aeqium?**

Since Aeqium is a newer tool, there are still some features that need refreshing, but because the team is so responsive to suggestions, I find that they make updates frequently, and issues don't last long.

**What problems is Aeqium solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aeqium got us away from spreadsheets and complicated merit planners and into a tool that was simple and did it all. Having merit planning, comp history, role history, leveling and job families all in one tool is a game changer for us.
