Easy to model and connection. **What do you dislike about Advance Steel?** It's outputs is very clumsy and more need to work in drawing. **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** Advance Steel software best in less funds while purchasing for any Fabrication drawings creating software. It's ok for less efforts with small training. ### 2. Creating Detail Sheets and Assembly Drawings is very straightforward... **What do you dislike about Advance Steel?** Very little to dislike with Advance Steel. As with any program, there have been a few bugs here and there. But, Autodesk is usually good about getting a hotfix out fairly quickly... **Recommendations to others considering Advance Steel:** As with any Autodesk product it has a learning curve. But if you have used any other AutoCad version, this one will be very easy to pick up... **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** My company utilizes Advance Steel for creating Drawings and 3D Models for the Oil & Gas industry, creating and adding to Refinery Pipe Racks, Bridges, and vessels. ### 3. Much better support and worth the higher price tag **What do you dislike about Advance Steel?** Something as simple as connecting to a concrete column or wall with a steel beam doesn't work. The basic training was horrible. They took some tech with zero people skills and put her on the phone for 2 weeks of useless training. After the 3 year subscription was up Graitec then refused to refund $2400 in unused training hours. Very bad experience. I would steer clear of this program and company. **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are only problems created. The configuration portion of the software is scattered and disorganized. Not user intuitive. No benefit that I can see. ### 4. I learned this through a fabrication error. **Recommendations to others considering Advance Steel:** Use the internet to be as resourceful as possible to increase product knowledge **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is not something I can answer as I have never received any product support ### 7. It is useless in other user defined planes. I am modelling self supported towers for communication companies and it would me helpfull if AS has "wizard" for these type of structures, like it has for stairs. **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am making connection with macros, fabrication drawings and updating them very fast. ### 9. IT has a high level of accuracy. If you stick to it and gain enough experience it makes your life much easier when it comes to 3D Steel modelling. **What do you dislike about Advance Steel?** From my experience, I encountered some problems when I had to export to IFC and then import the IFC into Revit. **Recommendations to others considering Advance Steel:** If you are looking for a 3D modelling software that can help and guide you throw the steps on how to design a Steel structure, Advance Steel is the perfect one for you. **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** The software has a variety of build in components. It is easier to use then most of the other software around. The biggest benefit that I took advantage of is the designing of stairs. I like the variety that the software offers you for every connection between different steel elements. The Macros are easy to figure out and the videos help with every problem that you might encounter. ### 17. The program was very good at helping the user progress through all the different options and styles that come with building towers and buildings The advance steel program has good details descriptions and instructions for different braces that can be attached to beams and columns **What do you dislike about Advance Steel?** The program in certain parts were a little tricky(building stairs) when building stairs for a tower the points that needed to be clicked in its continuous order was confusing. Also adding details in the stairs design blocks were confusing **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had used advance steel in my college class and we were given projects to build shed building and towers for plant situations ### 18. It is easy to transmit model from one software to another and it makes my workflow more productive and effective. Also I estimate the amount of metal detailing. It is essential that you can chose necessary details in a huge list. **What do you dislike about Advance Steel?** Sometimes I have some troubles with making of metal schedules. It did not calculate metal structures correctly twice and I now have to check the results always in order to get rid of mistakes. **Recommendations to others considering Advance Steel:** Use manuals and video lessons more. In that case you can get rid of lots of mistakes. **What problems is Advance Steel solving and how is that benefiting you?** Design different kinds of metal structrures such as frame structures, trusses, bearing structures for exterior walls. With help of 3D modeling it is possible to visualize the structure and estimate the correct of the accepted design solutions on the design stage. ### 19.
