**What do you like best about AdRoll?**

I like that AdRoll is easy to set up and adjust campaigns, and I find it easy to create new creatives and implement them. I also appreciate the freedom to manage the ads on my own after a customer success agent initially helped me. I like that you can add labels to the creatives to filter them and apply them to campaigns with the click of a button.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

I would like to be able to fine tune my audiences more by targeting specific sites. I'd also like the ability to exclude customers from my internal lists (Email Providers etc) from contextual and demographic campaigns.

**What problems is AdRoll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AdRoll helps get our ads in front of the right audiences based on demographics and behavior, and retargets site visitors and cart abandoners effectively.

  ### 2. Broken from Day One — 4 Months of Errors, No Resolution, and Wasted Ad Spend

**What do you like best about AdRoll?**

Not sure yet I can barely get the platform to work.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

Since June 2025, AdRoll has been a nonstop cycle of errors, broken processes, zero delivery, and ineffective support. We were told to keep trying while paying for services that never worked. After being handed off to dozens of reps and waiting two weeks for “tech support” during active spend, we still don’t have a functioning setup. Do not recommend.

What Went Wrong (By Layer)
1) Core Product Reliability — Constant Break Errors

Repeated platform error blocking basic actions:
“Unable to save your information. Please try again or contact Support.”

Every time we fixed one step, something else broke (settings, integrations, or delivery). Progress was one step forward, two steps back for four straight months.

2) Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Integration — Never Worked

The Facebook/Instagram integration never functioned correctly from the start (June onward).

We were repeatedly told it was an “audience” issue, with no concrete guidance or resolution path.

Even after “credits” were provided and multiple troubleshooting rounds, the integration and saving ads still failed.

3) Campaign Delivery — Zero Activity Despite Budget

With a live campaign and approved ads, we saw 0 impressions / 0 clicks / 0 spend for days.

We were told to change to Impressions; the UI didn’t show an “Impressions” option where expected, causing more delays.

Eventually discovered AdRoll hides “impressions” under Ad Group → Optimization Strategy → Reach (CPM), while Campaign-level bid strategy (Highest Volume / Cost per Result / Bid Cap) is a different control. This UI/UX mismatch wastes time and causes misconfiguration.

4) Misleading/Confusing UI — “Bid Strategy” vs. “Optimization”

“Bid strategy” appears at Campaign level, but billing/optimization (Clicks vs Landing Page Views vs Reach/CPM) is at Ad Group level.

Support instructions (“switch to impressions”) didn’t match the UI language (no “Impressions” label in the dropdown; it’s called Reach).

This confusion directly contributed to the campaign not spending for days.

5) Support Experience — Ineffective, Slow, and Fragmented

We were passed between dozens of different reps with no continuity or ownership.

Two-week wait just to reach “tech support” — while campaigns were supposed to be spending.

Repetitive questions, contradictory guidance, and no root-cause fix.

No working escalation path until we began seeking executive contacts ourselves.

6) Financial Impact — Paying for a Non-Working Service

Months of wasted budget and time on a platform that never delivered basic functionality.

We were told to “keep trying” or to wait weeks for help — while our timelines (enrollment campaigns) were time-sensitive.

The “credits” offered didn’t resolve the underlying Meta integration or save errors.

Month-by-Month Snapshot

June 2025: Onboarding and Meta integration attempts begin. Immediate platform errors (“Unable to save your information”). Integration never functional.

July 2025: Multiple support threads; the go-to explanation becomes “it’s the audience” with no clear, actionable fix. No working integration.

August 2025: Hand-offs between many reps continue; no ownership. We keep troubleshooting the same items. No stable progress.

September 2025: Told to wait ~2 weeks for tech support while we’re running time-sensitive campaigns. Campaign shows zero delivery for days despite budget and approved ads. UI confusion over Impressions vs Reach and Campaign vs Ad Group settings further slows progress. Still not resolved.

Why We Don’t Recommend AdRoll

Reliability: Frequent, blocking errors on basic actions for months.

Integrations: Meta connection never stabilized; “audience” deflection instead of diagnostics.

Usability: Critical settings are buried or labeled inconsistently (Reach vs Impressions; campaign bid vs ad-group optimization).

Support: Slow, fragmented, and ineffective; weeks-long waits during active spend.

Cost: You will pay while you wait and re-explain your case to new reps.

Bottom Line: If your business depends on reliable social integrations, clear optimization controls, and responsive support (ours does), AdRoll is not a safe choice based on our experience from June–September 2025.

they aren't solving anything. It's been 3 months of errors when i move on to the next step. more errors always telling me to contact support but their support is nonexistent. Worse company platform I've ever dealt with.

I’ve had a really positive experience with AdRoll. The platform makes it easy to manage campaigns across web, social, and email in one place, which saves a lot of time compared to juggling separate tools. The setup process is straightforward, and I especially like how clear the dashboard is when reviewing performance—seeing what’s driving results has never felt confusing. Retargeting is where AdRoll shines; I’ve seen a noticeable lift in re-engagement from past visitors.

What sets AdRoll apart for me is the customer support. Anytime I’ve had questions or needed guidance, their team has been quick to respond and genuinely helpful, offering practical suggestions rather than canned replies. They clearly care about helping campaigns succeed, which gives me confidence in using the platform long term. While smaller budgets may need to be carefully managed, the ROI and level of service I’ve received make AdRoll an outstanding partner in digital marketing.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

One thing I do wish AdRoll would improve is the reporting. While the data is detailed and thorough, it can feel a little overwhelming when you just want a quick overview. Having a simplified snapshot that highlights the key metrics—like spend, impressions, conversions, and ROI—at a glance would make it much easier to share results with a team or quickly check campaign health. The insights are there, but sometimes I find myself digging through multiple sections to piece it all together. A cleaner, more streamlined summary view would make an already strong platform even better.

**What problems is AdRoll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AdRoll is helping me solve several challenges that come with running digital campaigns across multiple channels. Before using it, I had to jump between different platforms to manage ads on social, email, and web, which was both time-consuming and made it harder to see the bigger picture. AdRoll brings everything together in one place, so I can launch and monitor campaigns without the hassle of switching tools.

Another big problem it solves is re-engaging people who have already shown interest but didn’t convert the first time. The retargeting features have been especially valuable—I’ve seen clear increases in traffic and conversions from audiences that otherwise might have been lost.

I find AdRoll very easy to use and set up. I took probably one day to set up the account and understand how to target and optimize my campaigns. I appreciate having a dedicated customer service representative who helps me when there are issues.

I think the AI component could be further explained so that we're able to implement it. Suggestions for changes could be made easier, like if they have a suggested change for your account, all you have to do is click a button to accept the change rather than having to go in and do it yourself.

AdRoll helps me target specific page viewers or cart abandoners, bringing back visitors who showed interest but didn’t purchase initially.

As a one-person marketing department, AdRoll has been a helpful addition to my marketing stack. The templates and walk-throughs make setting up campaigns very accessible. I love the dashboard and the ability to test campaigns with low spends. I like the integrations offered for inputting data, as well. The features offered are adequate for implementing a variety of campaigns without being overwhelming.

With the integration of AI, it would be helpful to offer campaign feedback and improvement suggestions based on a campaign's analytics and performance. I also wish Social Advertising were included without having to upgrade.

I like how easy it is to connect everything, such as products, audiences, and tracking. Unlike other paid ads platforms like Google or Met,a where we need to set up and tweak a lot of things manually, Adroll takes care of most of it automatically, so it saves a lot of time when setting up campaigns

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

There are some limitations when it comes to cart abandonment campaigns. For example, the level of customization is pretty basic, and sometimes the sync between product data and abandoned carts isn’t super accurate

**What problems is AdRoll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now we mainly use it for remarketing, and it’s been really helpful in bringing back visitors who didn’t convert the first time, giving them other offer options.

I like the account rep we're working with a lot. Brandon is an excellent communicator who helps set goals, align strategies, and push forward our marketing campaigns. The setup of AdRoll was super easy. Pixel setup and campaign setup were easy and straightforward.

Keeping track of image/s variation could be a little easier within the software.

I would like the option to dig into ad refinement, similar to Google Ads. But I rarely need that and I image most people don't need it at all.

It accesses web and social media inventory via one dashboard so that you can track a user on a news site to one of your social feeds. Such ubiquity means that your brand is always at the top of the list without having to negotiate with fifty different publishers.

Attempting to create dynamic advertisements in the platform usually creates looking banners without the personality of the brand. You are nearly compelled to add your own assets that bring about friction in the campaign setup process.

Use this with the intent to recapture lost intent through deployment of display retargeting. It is great traffic insurance but should not be used as the initial channel of acquisition of cold traffic.

AdRoll makes it easy to run campaigns across multiple digital and social channels in one place. I like that there are built-in audience recipes that help streamline cross-channel targeting and retargeting, which makes setup faster and gives you options to expand reach without having to manage separate platforms. The interface does a good job of consolidating activity so you can see performance across channels in one spot.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

There were long stretches where the login workflow was frustrating — for nearly a year the legacy login URL returned a 404 error instead of automatically routing to the new portal, which created unnecessary friction. I also wish there were better campaign management tools; not being able to delete or archive campaigns makes the interface feel cluttered over time and harder to navigate. In addition, the targeting parameters can feel broad compared to other platforms, and I often find I can be more granular elsewhere.

AdRoll helps streamline cross-channel remarketing by consolidating display and some social placements into one platform. Instead of setting up separate campaigns in multiple ad tools, I can run retargeting in a single environment and keep messaging consistent across touchpoints. It also provides pre-built audience “recipes,” which can be helpful for quickly spinning up prospecting or retargeting campaigns without having to manually build every segment. For organizations that don’t have a fully built-out programmatic stack, AdRoll can serve as an accessible way to expand reach beyond a single platform and maintain visibility across different parts of the funnel.

I can upload a list of contacts and it will target them specifically or I can create an ad to obtain new leads. I like that there is an ad credit include in the subscription fee so I don't have to worry about paying extra unless I go over the ad credit amount.

The dedicated support team is relatively on the ball and always there for assistance and resolutions. The platform is easy to navigate and execute campaigns, although the dedicated design feature is a massive bonus.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

The downfall of the design features is that certain timelines and deadlines are not executed on time, or a little bit late.

**What problems is AdRoll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to have a presence across an entire advertising ecosystem, allowing our brand and ads to extend beyond just social media and search, allowing our customers to have additional touchpoints across their purchase journeys.

The ease of setup and use, along with the contextual targeting, really stands out to me. I find it very helpful and useful to be able to select broad categories and/or specific on-page keywords for banner ads displaying.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll?**

Nothing major to flag, but it would be helpful if you added more categories for contextual targeting.

**What problems is AdRoll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Escaping social media ads and focusing instead on evergreen ads/campaigns that require minimal setup and maintenance.
