**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

Using ADP has significantly streamlined the way I manage HR tasks in my business. One of the biggest advantages has been the healthcare options offered through ADP. The plans are not only affordable but also flexible, giving my employees quality coverage while helping me save on overall healthcare costs. This has been a major benefit, especially as a small business trying to offer competitive benefits without breaking the bank.

ADP’s HR support is another standout feature. Whenever I have questions about compliance, onboarding, or employee relations, I can rely on their expert support team for quick, accurate guidance. It’s like having an HR department without needing to hire one in-house.

Most importantly, ADP saves me a significant amount of time. From payroll to employee onboarding and everything in between, the platform simplifies all the time-consuming tasks I used to dread. I can focus more on running and growing my business, knowing that the HR side is covered.

Overall, ADP has made managing employees easier, more efficient, and more cost-effective. I’d recommend it to any business owner looking to simplify their HR and benefits management.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

ADP is cost effective. We have compared multiple PEO's and switched even once or twice as our company needs changed. But we always come back to ADP because their benefit plan offerings are better and the overall cost is lower for better techonology.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

We could use a little quicker responses when we have an HR emergency that we need our HRBP to help with.

**What problems is ADP TotalSource solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest problems we have had is being a drug free workplace and trying to deal with ever changing state and federal laws, especially here in the state of Colorado. Our HRBP always takes the time to go out and find the answers we need to help make a decision that is lawful and she always provides examples of others in the same situation. This has greatly benefited us.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

I love ADP TotalSource for many reasons. One of the standout features is that they provide a liability attorney if there's ever litigation, which is incredibly reassuring. They also help with any cases of discrimination, your position statement, and more. Another huge benefit is that they helped me negotiate $20,000 in savings for my health benefits. I couldn't do my job without the recruitment side of ADP TotalSource. I really enjoy many aspects of ADP, and it makes my job easier. ADP TotalSource makes my job more efficient, which I really appreciate. I also like the ease of the open enrollment process for health benefits, which saves me lots of time. The applicant tracking system is very easy to use, and it automates the whole process. It keeps my requisitions and applicants organized and helps with efficiencies, even assisting with knockout questions.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

Probably the learning management system, but they are working on changing that. That's probably the only part of the system that's outsourced and the learning management piece is, like, a little clumsy and there's some hiccups with it. I guess that's why ADP is switching. So I know that they're aware of it.

I love using ADP TotalSource because it provides liability attorneys for litigation, helps negotiate savings for health benefits, and makes my job more efficient. It automates applicant tracking, eases open enrollment, and saves me lots of time.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

I like having access to a specific team of subject matter experts for any of our employee and administration needs. It's of great value to have experts that can help us when a situation arises with employee relations, discipline, safety, or policy guidelines. Transitioning from Trinet PEO to ADP TotalSource saved us on cost and offered more support. Also, even though our implementation was rushed, having an implementation team we could directly go to for help was beneficial.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

I sometimes struggle with finding information or reports on ADP because of the vast offerings of information. Making the reports easier to manage, possibly by paring down the offerings of reports, would be an improvement. The initial setup was a bit stressful because we were rushed and had some benefits not set up correctly, leading to needing to go back and fix some things, although having an implementation team to directly help was beneficial.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

Having all the benefits, vacation, and paystubs all in one place is wonderful.  Signing up for benefits was very easy to do.  Asking off for vacation is easy to do, and seeing your paystub anywhere is a great option instead of having it on paper.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

It was difficult at times to get answers to some of our questions, and it still isn't that easy to find the reports that I need.

**What problems is ADP TotalSource solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Signing up for benefits online saves a lot of time instead of using paper.  Asking off for vacation online is much easier as well, and easy to track.

It helps a lot with payroll processing, wage garnishments, and employee onboarding. It also makes it easier to manage and track tax filings, especially for companies that have employees across multiple organizations and states. Employee performance management and dashboards have also become easy to track.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

Customization of reports can be difficult, but with the help of your customer representative and support customization can be archived.

Tax filings, helps with ensuring labor law requirements are met,  wage garnishments and administration burden on most employee related issues is easy to track and manage.

I like that ADP TotalSource easily helps us process payroll seamlessly and gives us an eagle's eye view on our payroll processes. We are able to appropriately schedule our payroll processing in line with the payroll schedule in the system, creating in-house documentation to avoid late processing.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

Customer support is horrible; when working on a certain issue, they can change representatives before the problem is fixed. They should ensure that there is less turnover in their organization or ensure each rep creates notes to avoid redo.

I like that I can verify whether I’m making the right decision. Running a business in California is difficult, so being able to run decisions by my HRBP gives us a real sense of peace and relief throughout the decision-making process. She is always helpful and gives me great resources and guidance.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

I was just assigned an outsourced payroll partner. I previously worked with a payroll partner based in the US, but now my payroll contact is in India, and that change doesn’t make me happy. As I mentioned, running a business in CA is difficult, and having a payroll person in the US is important to me. I did let my HRBP know and she is going to address the issue for me. Also the wait times to get ahold of an appropriate person in payroll is annoying. The one place you want to talk to someone who can help you with your problem immediately is when you are dealing with payroll and that rarely happens.

Being able to clarify things with my HRBP is invaluable. Running all hiring decisions, terminations, and any issues by her has been extremely beneficial and gives me confidence that I’m handling situations the right way.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

I like how easy it is to view my paychecks and benefits all in one place. The interface is very user-friendly, and it makes finding what I need quick and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

The health insurance we were offered wasn’t very fair for employees with families. In my case, I found out I was pregnant three weeks after I started my job. I was on a 90-day payroll period, and because I went to the doctor before I became eligible, my short-term disability was denied as a “pre-existing condition.” I didn’t find out it had been denied until three weeks postpartum. First, pregnancy isn’t a disease, and second, there wasn’t clear communication from their end about how this would be handled.

We don’t use ADP TotalSource anymore. It just wasn’t a good fit for our growing company, and we had simply outgrown the service.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

I appreciate the consistency of ADP Total Source, the support team is courteous and clear every time I have called requesting support for Human Resources, Payroll or reporting. The platform changed almost a year ago and I was concerned about the implementation and impact on our team but it has been a simple transistion and it has been easy to integrate. I am able to reach out to a live agent or use the online support and I love being able to track the status of my case. I use ADP TotalSource weekly and I have found it straightforward and easy to use for our new employees when onboarding them. I strongly recommend that users take advantage of all the resources, scheduling regular check ins with the support specialists. There are so many features to make it useful and efficient.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

I don't always know where to find what I am looking for when it comes to reporting, I am hopeful that the updated platform will resolve those issues. I know that if I do get stuck I am able to call the support team for access.

I appreciate how efficient payroll is with ADP TotalSource. I always have a backup if I run into a problem processing, which gives me peace of mind. I also like the ease of use of the software. The transition to ADP TotalSource from our previous system was an upgrade for our business, as it flows better. The initial setup was pretty seamless.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

My payroll rep has been changed a few times and my current rep is not as quick to respond as the previous reps. I suggest she get back to us at least within an hour or two, not a full day.

ADP TotalSource makes payroll very efficient, ensures I always have a backup when processing issues arise, and its software is easy to use.

I like ADP TotalSource because it takes the complexity out of HR, payroll, and compliance. As a PEO (Professional Employer Organization), it provides a full-service solution that lets me focus more on running the business and less on administrative burdens. Their platform is user-friendly and centralizes everything from employee onboarding and benefits to time tracking and performance management.

What really stands out is the level of expert support — whether it’s staying compliant with ever-changing labor laws or finding the right benefits package, there's always someone knowledgeable to guide me. It also helps us stay competitive by offering Fortune 500-level benefits to our employees, which is a huge plus for retention and morale.

They are the leader in this market for a reason. Always on top of things. During Covid times, with all the legislation from the Covid relief bills, their reporting made things so easy. Reports needed for applying for the PPP were built in time to apply. things such as Covid sick pay through the government they handled in full on their end, we paid the Covid sick, we had a $0 invoice and they handled getting reimbursed on their end, we didn't have to wait for that to be reimbursed, great reporting tools

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

The rates tend to be higher than the competition, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for and they are the best value

The Tax department is slow in answering questions, really slow when its an error on the ADP side. The pricing is higher than other PEOs out there. The raise your rates with out reasons why. We had a 34% increase when our increases were in the single % before that.

This service is far better than Insperity. We really appreciate having a dedicated HRBP who is always quick to respond to our questions. I also like that there is a specific representative for each category within the PEO, which makes things more organized. Our benefit renewal costs have consistently been much better than what we experienced with Insperity, and whenever we compare prices with other PEOs, ADP always comes out ahead.

Sometimes we have felt our team has outgrown our HRBP and timeliness is a concern. However, ADP has switched our HRBP several times due to this.

In general, the platform is easy to use. There are a few things that could be more readily apparent and easier to find but overall, it looks like and was easy for our employees to use.

The customer support leaves much to be desired. Whenever I encounter an issue, I have to call their call center, and it feels like a coin toss whether I'll reach someone who actually understands the problem. There have been times when support agents have given me false information, probably because they didn't know the answer themselves. Even after a year since moving away from ADP, we're still facing a tax problem caused by an unpaid state tax. I submitted the necessary information, but despite sending more than five follow-up emails, I have yet to receive any response.

Also, their tech+ reporting tools are solid: dashboards, analytics, employee self-service portals. These give visibility and control.

Because there’s so much in the platform, setting up and learning to use everything can be overwhelming. But once we became more familiar with the platform, we love it!

Besides being confusing, it’s also quite ugly — the background with a photo, having to adjust browser settings for certain things to work, the login… Well, if I go into detail, there would be too many points.

They have been able to take our small company and allow us to have an enterprise level HR system & support team. they handle all nuances to payroll and tax laws as well as the expertise to help us navigate complicated HR issues that arise. I don't have to worry about missing new law, or figuring out how to implement it, they were absolutely critical for us navigating COVID and the local mandates & laws. I also have all of our employee data at my fingertips at any point and is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

Implemenation was difficult and rocky, but ADP jumped in to make it right. My only other complaint is that there are times that we need immediate responses about emergency HR employee issues that take a while to get a response. However this is something ADP does work on to ensure we are covered the best they can.

**What problems is ADP TotalSource solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing payroll, tax law, benefit renewals, benefit administration, wage garnishments, and navigating HR policies and employee issues has been extremely difficult on our own as a small business. With ADP I don't have to worry about any of these items because they have them handled. I still have to hire someone to process our payroll, but ADP makes it easy and ADP handles all of our legal compliance, and pays for penalties if they get something wrong, so I can rest assured we are doing things correctly.

ADPTS is not a cheap date. But the old adage rings true - you get what you pay for.  They provide value for the cost of the services.

Besides processing our payroll, handling benefits, 401K administration and Workers' Compensation, we use their systems for timekeeping, recruitment and performance management.  Our HR Business Partner is in sync with our core values and understands the dynamics of our industry.  We are in over 20 states and they help us navigate those legally required differences.

We receive benefits and HR assistance.  We have used TS for employee issues, insurance issues, and payroll assistance.  Also, UC claims, it is nice to have someone represent us in claims.  We do however have some concerns with the response from ADP when a former employee has made a claim.  Sometimes we are not notified in time to dispute the claim.

Most everything is in one place.  Initially overwhelming, one can start to settle in over a period of time.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

More and more, ADP expects professional, full-time players across the table from them.  Not always easy to find what is needed when you venture into something new.

Phone service is slow, and when your question crosses over functional groups, one can get lost in translation.

**What problems is ADP TotalSource solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ADP provides a broad coverage of all things that we face from an HR, payroll and 401k perspective.  Although sometimes difficult to find solutions and answers, it is much better than trying to fly solo.

ADP TotalSource takes the complexity out of HR, payroll, and compliance. It provides a full-service solution and their platform is user-friendly and centralizes everything from employee onboarding and benefits to time tracking and performance management.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

Some items, like payroll, are more manual than the previous PEO we used.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

As a legacy user, I like the ability to access payroll and W-2 records from prior employers when they all used ADP.  When actively using the product, I liked their payroll breakouts and how the statements looked.  It was easy to understand income, deductions, and taxes.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

The downsides of ADP are the cost.  It is an enterprise level solution and best fits larger companies.

**What problems is ADP TotalSource solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ADP solves payroll, compliance, and benefits administration.

I like the flow of information and the reporting.  The benefits are great!

Limited capabilities with access and some of the tools that would be helpful at the beginning of the hiring process are not accessible until the end.

Benefits!!!  Premiums decreased.  One-stop-shop for HR and employees.

**What do you like best about ADP TotalSource?**

ADP TS has been a great resource for our company for many years.  As a small team we utilized their HR and benefit services in order to provide quality benefits for our employees.

**What do you dislike about ADP TotalSource?**

While the service itself has been great, we have had some turnover in the assigned account managers that we have worked with.  This has created a bit of disconnect and extra work as we had to continue to get the new associates up to speed on the specific services we require.

**What problems is ADP TotalSource solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits premiums and plan options, payroll tax management.
