ADP Payroll Services took over our company's payroll when it bought out the company we were using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ADP Payroll Services?

Absolutely nothing. Most of the calls I received were marketing calls. They took forever to respond to requests for help; and when they did the service representative was young and completely inexperienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Payroll Services?

When ADP took over the payroll, they set our company up as reporting payroll withholdings on Form 941, when we actually report on Form 943. The result was that the IRS thought we were not paying taxes, and we started getting notices from the IRS of delinquency. ADP did not act in a timely fashion to straighten things out. I sent ADP the notices and asked to speak with a supervisor. Instead of a call or communication from a supervisor, I received numerous calls trying to sell me additional services. Ultimately, IRS issued a notice of intent to seize our property to pay the taxes. The ironic thing is that the taxes were paid, just not reported under the correct form. When ADP failed to correct the situation, and we started receiving notice from the IRS that it was taking serious collection efforts, it was at that time that I switched payroll companies. I am still trying to work out this nightmare with the IRS. I have spent many hours on the phone with IRS and have had to file amended returns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ADP Payroll Services solving and how is that benefiting you?

ADP was inept at solving the problem it creadted. I have not realized any benefits from ADP Payroll. Only wasted hours and fines and interest paid to the IRS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"OK but they messed up my taxes and I had to have then redo it so it's a no go!"

Biweekly payroll services were what I contracted them to do, and the first payroll was ok; this platform was even easier than my current payroll service. But I could not forgive them for messing up my taxes and having to have them redo them. I'll never forgive them. Payroll and taxes are relatively so easy to do, and whoever was in charge of this should have been done it right the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ADP Payroll Services?

It seemed simpler than the new software I am currently using to do HR and payroll at my office. I only wish they had shown an interest in doing it right the first time when I onboarded with them. I was so frustrated I could not continue even though this software is so much easier to understand and to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Payroll Services?

They screwed up my taxes which caused me a lot of frustration, especially with a new Payroll company. They should have done it right the first time, and as many say, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It started off simple, and easy, however as the weeks progressed, our payroll continued to have errors and then lack of customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Payroll Services?

The lack of customer service and help. The company's payroll taxes were not paid correctly. Our quarterly reports were not correct, either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have switched from ADP and are currently using a new payroll service. The cost has increased, but we cannot take a chance that taxes and reports would not be submitted correctly. There is only one tiny dislike and that is sometimes the calls drop during a telephone conversation but they make sure and get your number prior to starting to discuss the problem and they call back right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
