In my opinion, Photoshop stands out as the most powerful image editing software available today.

After getting comfortable with the basics, I found that there is a fairly steep learning curve to progress further. Additionally, the pricing may pose a challenge for certain users.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photoshop serves as a comprehensive solution for me and my team whenever we need to work with images. Whether we're handling simple tasks like resizing and recoloring, or tackling more specialized work such as advanced image manipulation and retouching, Photoshop consistently meets our needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

Photoshop for me is like after effects but for photos. I like how i have total control over every filter and option on it. Instead of just choosing a saturation filter, i have 100% control on all the aspects that make that filter, thats photoshop to me.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

The fact that it comes with a monthly subscription is a bummer but it is fine, its worth it.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making my work much more professional. The photos, posters, and other stuff I make in it all look professional for me and my organization.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

I feel that the price has become quite prohibitive.

Adobe Photoshop has a learning curve and isn't easy to understand initially. It's also a power-hungry tool and needs processing power, otherwise it lags.

  ### 13. Photoshop’s Been in My Arsenal Forever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivars L. | Creative Services Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

Photoshop is still a tool I use every single day. It does everything I need it to, and once you get comfortable with it, it’s fast. I’ve got my workflow dialed in with actions, smart objects, and custom shortcuts, so things move quick. It plays well with other Adobe tools, which makes life easier when you're working across various projects at a marketing agency. Getting started isn’t really hard either. If you have a basic comprehension of design, you can get there with all of the tutorials available and plenty of ways to figure things out as you go.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

While they did introduce generative AI, it hasn't always been fantastic to work with. There are times when a simple adjustment gets flagged because it thought textures and tones were something else. The fact that "Save for web" is still labeled as legacy like we're not supposed to use it yet still it remains in the menu makes me scratch my head. Do I still use it and find it valuable? Yes, 100%.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photoshop solves a bunch of creative problems for me, from image editing to layout design, photo cleanup, file prep, mockups, you name it. If I need to make something look polished, and on-brand, or just better than it was before, this is the all-in-one tool I reach for. It handles all the little details I care about, like pixel precision, layering, and custom effects, you name it. It saves me time and allows me to stay flexible, whether I’m working on a full campaign or just knocking out a quick edit.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Somit V. | SEO Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

I like to create GIF in Adobe Photoshop and i have used this feature many times. Along with these features, I love to edit images, change color, Mockup and create a banner. This is an easy way to implement on photos, gif, and mockup. The application is very responsive and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

It needs some technical experience otherwise you never take a full advantage of Photoshop. Apart from this, you need a good skill to design an image. You need little practice to learn how to make it ease for you.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Photoshop:**

There are many other software too, but it is different, so if you are looking for any photo specialist software then try it.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest advantages is that one can easily make small edits on photos that would otherwise be difficult. This creates a high-resolution copy of the photo, along with changing the skin tone. And if you are a photographer, you can also draw photos further using Adobe Photoshop.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

It is getting better, and I even feel effort from the developers, so I don’t dislike this software at all.

It helps me create raster graphics. Other software such as Illustrator cannot handle rasterized images, and this feature helps my work quite a lot. Compared to Lightroom, photoshop is a great option for beginners to edit photos. More like a casual use.

Adobe Photoshop solves several problems related to visual communication. It enables me to edit, enhance, and design visuals that align with brand identity and marketing goals. This benefits me by improving the quality and consistency of my work, saving time, and allowing me to deliver professional results.

  ### 34. All the tools for photo and illustration editing and then some.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim G. | Web/Print Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

A huge part is familiarity. I know Photoshop as I have used it for decades now. The layout, the menus, and the process for what I do mean that the learning curve is no longer such a huge obstacle for me. Not everything is intuitive about it, but I can figure things out.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

The thing I like least is the subscription model. The idea of "renting" tools seems ridiculous to me, especially if I am not using a large proportion of those tools. If I had to pay a nominal fee of $22.00 a month for my sketch pad, I would probably simply buy paper as I needed it.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves graphical problems and photo editing issues. I can use it to finish a lot of my work in other applications like Corel Painter.

As someone who's been using Photoshop since its early days, I can confidently say it remains the gold standard for image editing. The depth of features is unmatched - from basic photo corrections to complex digital art creation, Photoshop handles it all with precision. The layer system, selection tools, and extensive filter options continue to evolve and impress.

The subscription pricing model has become a significant barrier. What once was a one-time purchase has turned into an ongoing expense that feels steep, especially for casual users or freelancers. The AI features seem less advanced than other solutions.

There are features I don’t fully control yet, so occasionally my design doesn’t turn out exactly like I pictured. It can be a bit frustrating, but I know with more practice it will get easier

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photoshop solves the problem of bringing my creative ideas to life in a precise and flexible way. Before, I used other programs that were limited or less powerful, so tasks like editing photos, combining images, or creating more complex compositions took me a lot longer and weren’t as polished. Now, I can experiment freely, fix mistakes easily, and work on multiple layers without worrying about ruining anything. It saves me a ton of time and makes my projects look much closer to what I imagined

  ### 47. An Unmatched Tool for Creative Professionals

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham V. | Supply Chain Management Trainee, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

What I like best about Photoshop is the sheer number of features and the absolute creative control it gives you. It's the industry standard for a reason. While the ease of use has a steep learning curve for new users, once you've been using it for a while, it becomes incredibly intuitive. I use it with a high frequency of use—it's part of my daily workflow. The seamless ease of integration with other Adobe products like Illustrator and Lightroom is also a huge plus, as it makes moving between projects effortless.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

My biggest dislike about Photoshop is how overwhelming it can be, especially when you're first starting out. The sheer number of features and tools means it takes a long time to get comfortable with it. It’s definitely not a tool you can just pick up and go with.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photoshop solves the problem of creative limitations. Before, we were stuck with whatever was captured in a photograph or what could be done with a basic digital tool. With Photoshop, I can create anything I can imagine. It gives me the power to retouch images flawlessly, combine different photos into a single scene, or start from a blank canvas to build a digital painting. The benefit is total creative freedom and the ability to produce high-quality, professional-level work that simply wasn't possible before.

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

Adobe Creative Cloud is a powerful and comprehensive suite that excels in both functionality and user experience. The ease of use across most apps is impressive, with intuitive interfaces and helpful tutorials for beginners. Implementation is smooth, and setup across devices is quick thanks to cloud-based access. Adobe’s customer support is responsive and offers multiple channels for assistance. I use it frequently, often daily, due to the vast number of features available for everything from photo editing to video production. Its ease of integration with other tools and between Adobe apps streamlines creative workflows, making it a top choice for professionals and teams alike.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

What I dislike about Adobe Creative Cloud is the subscription-based pricing model—it can get expensive over time, especially for freelancers or occasional users. Some apps also require a steep learning curve, and performance can vary depending on your system specs. Additionally, updates sometimes introduce bugs that take time to resolve.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Creative Cloud solves the problem of needing multiple disconnected tools for creative work by offering an all-in-one solution for design, video, photography, and more. It streamlines the creative process by allowing seamless integration between apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, which saves time and boosts productivity. Cloud storage and syncing eliminate version control issues and make remote collaboration easy. For me, this means faster project turnaround, more polished results, and the flexibility to work from anywhere.

  ### 49. Adobe Photoshop: A Personal Review After Three Decades of Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hans A. | Research and Development Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Photoshop?**

After three decades of professional use, I can unequivocally recommend Adobe Photoshop as an essential investment for any serious marketing professional or creative practitioner. The software's combination of powerful functionality, intuitive design, and consistent professional results justifies both the learning investment and ongoing subscription costs.
The longevity of my relationship with this software—spanning nearly thirty years—speaks to its fundamental value proposition. In an industry where tools and technologies rapidly become obsolete, Photoshop has maintained its relevance through continuous innovation while preserving the core functionality that made it indispensable.
For marketing professionals seeking to elevate their visual content quality and maintain competitive advantage, Photoshop remains the definitive choice. The initial time investment in mastering the software pays dividends through enhanced creative capabilities, improved workflow efficiency, and the ability to produce consistently professional results that drive marketing success.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Photoshop?**

The constant stream of updates and new versions presents both opportunities and challenges. While feature enhancements are generally welcome, the frequency of updates can disrupt established workflows and require ongoing time investment for adaptation. This continuous evolution, though ultimately beneficial, can create temporary productivity interruptions for busy professionals.
Investment Considerations
The subscription-based pricing model represents a significant ongoing expense, particularly for individual professionals or small businesses. However, this cost must be evaluated against the software's comprehensive capabilities and the professional advantages it provides. The pricing structure, while substantial, reflects the software's position as a premium professional tool rather than a casual consumer application.

**What problems is Adobe Photoshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a business perspective, Photoshop has demonstrated exceptional return on my investment. Its versatility in creating diverse marketing materials—from social media graphics to print advertisements—makes it a singular solution for multiple creative needs. The software's reliability and professional output quality have directly contributed to successful marketing campaigns and brand development initiatives.
