"Seamless Automation and Unified Marketing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I use Adobe Marketo Engage for marketing automation and data operations for both internal communications and external outreach. I like how it unifies our data, communications, and marketing into one platform. I appreciate the features such as Smart Campaigns, Web Forms, and Marketing Programs that I find help us scale and unify the team. The initial setup was pretty seamless with the support of digital partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Integration with multiple CRMs while keeping partitions firm is challenging. We have one Marketo and numerous instances of Salesforce, and having lead integration from Marketo to each specific instance of Salesforce is a custom integration, not the out-of-the-box CRM integration. It's quite costly to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Audience segmentation, automation, and personalization are strong, which makes it easier to deliver relevant messaging at scale.

"Easy Newsletter Creation with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I use Adobe Marketo Engage for internal newsletters, and it's super easy to use. I love how it connects me with everyone across my team and gives me insights on how my content performs. Creating newsletters is a breeze with it. I also like the insights it provides me on how my newsletters are being engaged with and the link clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Sometimes it can be hard for me to undo things if I delete a module too soon. Sometimes it does something weird where it won’t save my content, and I have to refresh my tab and start over on that specific module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automates and Aligns, But UI Feels Outdated"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Honestly, what I like most about Adobe Marketo Engage is how much it takes work off your plate once everything’s dialed in. The automation is really powerful, so you can set up lead nurturing, scoring, and campaign flows and let them run in the background instead of constantly managing everything manually. It makes marketing feel way less chaotic.

I also like how well it connects with other tools, especially CRMs. It helps keep marketing and sales on the same page instead of working in separate silos. And the reporting is great too, because you can quickly see what campaigns are performing well and which ones need some tweaking.

Overall it just makes managing campaigns feel way more organized and a lot less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Honestly, the biggest downside to Adobe Marketo Engage is that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. There are a lot of features and settings, so the learning curve can be pretty steep if you’re new to it. It sometimes takes a while to really understand how everything connects.

Another thing is that the interface can feel a little outdated and not always the most intuitive. Simple tasks can take a few extra steps, and navigating between different parts of the platform can feel a bit clunky.

It’s definitely a powerful tool once you get used to it, but getting to that point can take some time and patience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful CRM Integration, Steep Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I really like Adobe Marketo Engage's integration with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce. Syncing lead and account data between marketing and sales has been relatively seamless once properly configured, which makes it easier to track engagement and pass qualified leads to sales. Additionally, it helps measure the impact of marketing activities on ROI and ROAS. The integration empowers me to demonstrate to leadership that marketing is a revenue center and not just a cost center. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I would say that the platform comes with a pretty steep learning curve. It's very feature rich, and it can take some time to fully understand how everything connects. From program structure to something as granular as tokenization and advanced automation logic. The user interface can also feel a bit dated compared to some other newer marketing tools. "Powerful Campaign Automation and Analytics, but a Steep Learning Curve and Occasional Slowness"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The platform makes it easy to build complex, multi-step marketing campaigns with smart workflows, segmentation, and personalization — all without constant manual intervention. I especially appreciate how intuitive the smart lists and trigger-based campaigns are; they allow precise targeting based on behavior, engagement, and demographics.

Another standout feature is the depth of analytics and reporting. It provides clear insights into campaign performance, lead scoring, and ROI, which makes it easier to make data-driven decisions.

Lastly, its integration capabilities with CRM systems (like Salesforce) make alignment between marketing and sales seamless, improving lead management and follow-up efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

While the platform is incredibly powerful, it can feel overwhelming for new users. The interface isn’t always intuitive, and setting up advanced workflows often requires significant training or experience.

Another challenge is that some reporting features can feel rigid or require workarounds to get highly customized insights. Additionally, system performance can occasionally be slow when working with large databases or complex smart campaigns.

Lastly, the cost may be a barrier for smaller teams, especially when factoring in add-ons and implementation resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good product to use"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I have used it frequently while working, and I find the website very easy to navigate. In my opinion, the organization is handled quite well. Of course, there are some areas of the website where I experience issues with loading speed, but overall, it has been a great product. The feature that allows me to share my projects more easily is especially helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Adobe Marketo is generally fast, but I’ve noticed that it focuses more on webinars and is not always optimized for mobile use. Occasionally, sending emails can be challenging—sometimes files don’t load correctly or something changes unexpectedly. However, these issues are quite minor overall. "Powerful Tool for Enterprise Marketing at Scale"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I use Adobe Marketo Engage to power the full B2B lifecycle marketing from initial engagement through to customer expansion; it's the engine running in the background. Day-to-day, I build scalable nurture programs, manage lead-scoring models, and ensure our CRM sync is clean and reliable, enabling us to run complex campaigns without losing structure or governance. I heavily utilize Marketo for segmentation and personalization, enabling us to deliver the right message based on behavior and engagement, rather than just blasting emails. The automation of personalized engagement based on behavior is not guesswork, and it also helps solve visibility by showing what’s working, converting, and where leads get stuck. It makes operational governance easier with strong program frameworks and automation logic that let me build once and scale consistently. Marketo isn't just an email tool; it's an infrastructure that enables modern B2B marketing to function effectively. Segmentation helps to organize the database to reflect real buyer behavior, and personalization allows content adjustments based on behavior and data, improving engagement and conversion rates. I love the tool, having used it for fifteen years, and I would definitely recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I feel like there's a bit of a learning curve with Adobe Marketo Engage. It's not just a plug-and-play tool; you really need strong governance and a clear framework to benefit fully. Also, the reporting could be more intuitive. While it's flexible, pulling customized life cycle or multi-touch insights can be quite manual. The user interface in some areas could be more modern and streamlined, and some workflows require more clicks than needed. Additionally, cloning from one smart campaign to another could be easier.
