It is solving the lack of fonts in other places. If I need a font for any project commercial or personal I can rely on these fonts and it is amazing. It provides more fonts than what is included within their software normally

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

All of the Adobe Fonts work with all Adobe programs since they're part of CC, so I don't have to worry about compatibility or stability. There is a good variety within the library as well.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

The only way to customize the fonts is to use them in Photoshop or another program that can manipulate. It would be great to have some simple customization tools within the Adobe Fonts interface.

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Fonts makes it easy for us to find trusted and reliable typefaces for branding and advertising. It's also easy to use and intuitive for volunteers who are using CC to help out infrequently.

  ### 44. A good experience with some hitches

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis D. | Associate Agency Operations Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

I'm impressed by how quick and easy it is to add new fonts to projects with AF, along with the versatility of AF's font search tool when I'm looking to try out something new. Having used Google Fonts for similar purposes in the past, the nuance with which you can search in AF (i.e. character properties such as contrast or x-height) makes it much more useful in practice. Plus, the time you save by being able to try new fonts almost immediately vs. having to download and install fonts seems small at first, but it does add up if you're constantly experimenting.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

With InDesign in particular, I've found that Adobe Fonts frequently "forgets" which fonts I've been using. I have an InDesign document where I once used the TT version of IBM Plex Serif, currently saved on my PC. In the past, I've tried replacing it with the OTF version in Adobe Fonts, simply for ease of use and transition if I ever change computers. However, every time I save and close the file after replacing the TT font, the changes don't seem to stick; the next time I open the file, the OTF versions have been replaced by the TT again. My understanding is that AF can't "compete" if the user already has a font with the same name saved on their system. This is particularly frustrating in the case of IBM Plex Serif, because the OTF version only has 5 styles, where the TT version has 15+. Ideally, I'd be able to save the document with the OTF version, and just have the TT version around for when I don't necessarily need immediate compatibility with any future devices I have, but AF is making that difficult.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Fonts:**

Try out adding your own fonts to Creative Cloud!

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not only does Adobe Fonts make it easier to save the fonts I've chosen for projects across devices, but Adobe's font search has made it more engaging to try new fonts and styles for my projects. Additionally, an upside (similarly to Google Fonts in most cases) is that I don't need to worry about rights or licenses to use fonts. Whatever I find, I'm good to use!

  ### 45. Huge variety of font options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

The best part of adobe fonts is that it has such a wide variety of font options available that you will never go out of options to select the right font for your need.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

The interface is a bit difficult, and it will take time to get used to. Also it takes too much time to activate the font. But overall, it is a great tool which makes your work look much more creative

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There was no other app that provided this much variety of fonts and with this much ease, and that's why adobe fonts have been a one-stop solution for the problem.

  ### 46. 'Adobe fonts' is helping me to explore new fonts, without installing them into our machine.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madan S. | Sr Visual Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

We don't have to download & install the fonts to our computer. It is working like cloud tech. So it automatically merges with our adobe account so that we can easily use thousands of fonts, just like that.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

Nothing to dislike. But we need more fonts to use.

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Searching for fonts on various platforms is a pain. And sometimes, freebies fonts have virus inside them, which ruins our computer. Now we can overcome these problems by using adobe font.

  ### 47. Great Way to Keep Teams Synced on Fonts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

I've worked at multiple companies where I was on a team with other designers. In the past, I used to run into issues all the time where my coworkers would have a different version of the same font installed, such as an OTF versus TTF. So, if we had to edit someone else's file, we'd run into a tedious issue of needing to replace fonts in order to get them to display properly. Now, we ALL use Adobe Fonts, and our workflow is much more seamless, and we don't end up with pesky error messages when we open each other's files.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

For some reason, the process of turning a new font on or off is extremely slow. The site takes awhile to load, then your program takes even longer to realize the font has been activated. I usually go get a snack or refill my water to pass the time when I turn on a new font. Also, font activation isn't handled through the CC app, you have to go to a webpage, which seems silly, and would be an easy improvement to make.

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to purchase a bunch of loose fonts. Also the benefit mentioned previously about syncing up your team.

  ### 48. Great when the fonts are available

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

With Adobe Fonts, it's great to automatically synchronize missing fonts when opening Adobe projects. The sync feature is also beneficial if you're using duplicate adobe accounts on multiple workspaces in order to continue your work.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

As cool as the sync feature is, the lack of font variety is the biggest downside for Adobe Fonts. Many popular fonts are missing from the Adobe library, making it a software I use only half of the time.

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Fonts is helping our team maintain a standard library of fonts to leverage across our various marketing campaigns and design projects we handle for our clients.

  ### 49. Excellent selection of typefaces for the creative professional or printer.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

Adobe Fonts offers a wide selection of typeface families--many weights and styles of the same typeface. If you use Adobe Creative Suite apps, then Adobe Fonts integrates with your Creative Suite software, like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and many more.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

It is not as easy to use Adobe Fonts in non-Adobe apps and vice-versa. If you have a font with a similar but not the exact name already on your computer, your app may warn you that your font is missing.

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Fonts provides a wide variety of typeface families that I use daily in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I am a freelance graphic designer; typography is essential to my work.

  ### 50. Reliable, trustworthy source of fonts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Trading Insight Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?**

Fonts online can be a bit of a wild west - searching for fonts using an image and then downloading them for free seems to necessitate a lot of ad-riddled, slightly suspicious-looking websites - it's not very comforting downloading .zip files from these sites and trusting that the contents are safe. Adobe Fonts has good interface and a good variety but mainly it's the trust in Adobe as a name that I like.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?**

Perhaps more scalability - if I was a freelance designer Adobe Fonts would not doubt be a godsend but I don't use it all that frequently, it's more a subscription to have for if/when a client deck needs customising. There are not many services where I'd say no to a cheaper version!

**What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clients all have their own weird & wonderful brand guidelines and obscure font choices - the image search font identifier, and then quick access to that font, saves time customising presentations (and gets us far closer to the mark than "going by eye" with the Microsoft defaults)
