What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?

Nowadays ther are a lot of options for people looking for unique fonts, and new digital foundries are poping up on an almost weekly basis. However, when you are creating a document that requires an specific typeface (font) and you want to have the widest range of styles and weights, then there is no better choice than the Adobe Font Library. You can no only easily install/activate them as needed, but can select specific versions/weights to include or exclude. Easily convert to outlines without the hassle that some smaller companies seem to enjoy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?

While Adobe is one of the largest collections of typefaces outside of Monotype, and the quality of generally top-notch, the thing that most people tend to dislike is the often exorbitant prices to purchase. As a designer, I am fully aware of the amount of work that goes into producing a typeface, and as technology has made this easier than the initial process, the prices have not reflected that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Adobe Fonts:

First is to lower the costs -- I mean yes, quality is expensive, but Adobe can afford to be at least slightly more competative. Also, bring back the downloadable style sheets that show each font -- these were insanely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?

As both a graphic designer and book publisher, I use a variety of typefaces everyday, depending on the need and situation. My go-to fonts are usually Adobe, because they are consistently well done, feature robust character sets and lots of variations beyond just bold and italics (otherwise known as weights). Often Adobe will offer its own versions of classics, such as Garamound, etc., or simply license the fonts from their original creators. Ever since Type1 fonts were created, Adobe has stood out as a leader in the field, and now that Open Type is the standard, they continue the tradition of offering a wide selection of fonts. When I use these in conjuction with Adobe Illustrator, I am able to create unique logos and layout work for customers with far less troubleshooting and correcting than with some other vendors. What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?

There are great quality and a good quantity of fonts to choose from with Adoe Fonts. Their search filters are versatile and easy to use. The best feature is the ability to activate and deactivate fonts from Adobe Cloud and immediately have access to them in any program, like Illustrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?

They can only be used in a bubble. If a client or printer doesn't have an adobe subscription, Adobe fonts are pretty much useless since we can't embed or share them in documents, like a packaged InDesign file. This is what makes Google fonts or other commercial liscensed fonts a better option especially in an agency environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe fonts are good quality and reliable within the cloud. I can easily acitvate and access them from any Adobe program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Fonts?

The font selection is great and the embed process (CSS only) is nicer than Google Fonts. The image-to-font search is a great feature as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Fonts?

Setting up a new web project (previously called "type kit") is really annoying. Once you select one font and one weight, it goes into the project and then you have to go back into the project to add additional weights and styles. The UX of the marketplace is constantly changing so every time I go to start a new web project I have to refamiliarize myself with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am a web developer specializing in brochure websites. Often times designers of these websites use Adobe fonts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
