"Powerful for Large-Scale E-Commerce but Costly"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I love the total flexibility of Adobe Commerce, as it allows me to customize every part of the checkout and product pages to match our brand. The Page Builder is fantastic since it enables our marketing team to update the site without requiring a developer every time. I find the native B2B features incredibly helpful for handling bulk orders. The multi-store management is a huge advantage, making it much easier to run different sites for different countries from one dashboard. The reporting tools are genuinely useful, providing deep insights into sales and customers without the need for extra plugins. These features save us time and money, making the business scalable and allowing us to grow our sales and add new countries without overwhelming the tech side. What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

The cost is the biggest issue- it's very expensive once you add up licensing and developer fees. Also, the admin panel can be slow and feels a bit outdated. I'd suggest making the interface more modern and 'snappy'. It also needs a simpler setup process because right now, you need a technical expert for even basic changes. It feels a bit too 'heavy' for simple tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extensibility Done Right"

What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

It’s one of the best platforms because of its extensibility, usability, and upgradability. For both customers and agencies, it’s easy to start working with it, and then expand as we go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’d like to see more features around generative engine optimization. What I’m looking for is for every store to be available to AI, so it can start exploring the product data and initiate the customer journey from there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise Powerhouse with Customization Challenges"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I like Adobe Commerce for its unparalleled flexibility in handling complex, high-scale enterprise needs. I appreciate its evolution into a composable, headless-driven ecosystem, which has made it even more adaptable and powerful over time. The platform's strength lies in its ability to manage extreme complexity while seamlessly integrating with the Adobe Experience Cloud. This makes it a robust solution for businesses needing to integrate various tools and software, especially for those requiring both B2B and B2C functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

Adobe Commerce is known for being complex and demanding. The initial setup is generally considered complex, time-consuming, and requires a high level of technical expertise. It's not an out-of-the-box solution for beginners but a robust platform that needs significant development skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the navigation or way finding for functionalities or features are not the easiest to find. I think some of it is for terminology and needing to understand the Adobe Commerce terms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Scalable, and Highly Customizable eCommerce Platform"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

What I like most about Adobe Commerce is its flexibility and scalability, which make it a powerful platform for businesses with complex or evolving eCommerce needs. The ability to fully customize the storefront, product catalog, and checkout experience allows brands to create unique, high‑performing shopping journeys.

I also appreciate its robust ecosystem of extensions and integrations, which makes it easy to add new capabilities without heavy development. Combined with Adobe’s advanced marketing, analytics, and personalization tools, it becomes a strong end‑to‑end solution for managing customer experience.

Finally, its multi‑site and multi‑store capabilities are a major advantage for organizations that operate in multiple regions or manage several brands - everything can be managed from a single backend with efficiency and consistency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

While Adobe Commerce is a powerful and highly flexible platform, one of the main challenges is its complexity. Because it offers so many advanced features, it often requires skilled developers for setup, customization, and ongoing maintenance - making it less accessible for teams without strong technical resources.

I also find that the cost of ownership can escalate quickly. Between licensing fees, hosting, development, and extensions, the total investment is significantly higher compared to simpler or more modern SaaS eCommerce platforms.

Additionally, updates and upgrades can sometimes be time‑consuming and require careful planning to avoid compatibility issues with custom code or third‑party modules. This makes the platform robust but also resource‑intensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Fast, and Robust—A Strong Platform for SEO and Functionality"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

The vast scope of what can be done, especially for SEO and functionality, some of the fastest and more robust sites I've ever worked on have been Magento 2 (now Adobe Commerce). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

Some of the complexities with backend navigation and updating what should otherwise be simple areas. For example redirects, the complexity of catalog rewrites and having to manually update/delete them in order to properly create redirects is frustrating, especially when BigCommerce and Shopify do it so well. "Scalable and Flexible, But Costly Setup"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I really found the Content Scheduler to be a great tool, especially since it was easy to learn and work with, even as a Marketing Intern. It was useful for automating content changes, which improved team efficiency and reduced human errors, helping us maintain consistency across various teams and markets. I also appreciated how it supported collaboration by eliminating last-minute or overtime changes. Although I haven't used the App Builder personally, I've heard from developers that it's valuable for supporting our scalability and automation goals, particularly related to CRM. Additionally, I appreciate Adobe Commerce's flexibility and scalability which is crucial for our global company, helping us standardize approaches and scale capabilities across all teams and regions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

The costs were a bit of an issue for us because we moved from a different platform that was cheaper. We didn't see a big growth in sales right after switching. Plus, the platform was complex, and the team had to be trained well, which took a long time. The initial setup was complex and hard to grasp, even though we got guided onboarding and some simplifications for Marketing. A clearer UX would be nicer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

New SaaS offering suppose to solve that problem but it doesn't;t have advanced documentation yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I deeply appreciate Adobe Commerce for its high level of customization and scalability, which stands out from competitors like WooCommerce and Shopify. Its flexibility allows us to create tailored e-commerce solutions that cater effectively to both B2B and B2C customers, enabling us to handle a broad range of client needs from small to large-scale operations without any hassle. The platform's marketing outreach capabilities are commendable, aiding in effective customer acquisition and retention strategies. Adobe Commerce also excels in providing an engaging and user-friendly interface, which greatly enhances user experience and satisfaction. The robust analytics features are invaluable, offering our clients critical insights into their sales performance, customer interactions, page visits, and product performance. This data-driven approach empowers our clients to make strategic business decisions and optimize their operations. Additionally, the cloud-based architecture of Adobe Commerce simplifies the initial setup process, making it quick and efficient for deployment. Overall, the scalability, analytics, and user-friendly nature of Adobe Commerce make it an invaluable asset for our business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I dislike the limited integration options with other CRM platforms, specifically the lack of integration with Zoho. This limitation makes it less flexible and requires additional workarounds to connect with other tools and platforms that are crucial for my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
