## Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) Reviews
  ### 1. Versatile, powerful, yet easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

I love the ease of integrating our our ERP with the platform. Combined with the user friendly GUI, Magento is a powerful eComm platform. I also like the extensions that easily bolt on.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

While I really like how there are so many add-ins, the costs can add up really quickly.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I moved a site from a different platform because of the number of SKUs my client had. We were able to easily add the data and eliminated the max SKU count issue all together.

  ### 2. Magento - Good Ecommerce Platform for Order Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander K. | E-commerce Shipping Supervisor, Retail, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The amount of data accessible and the reporting functions. You can get a candid view on products on hand, web order statuses, highest selling products, etc.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The interface is okay. Would ideally prefer a more friendly user interface but overall it gets the job done and covers most of it's bases.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Good to try if your company is looking to get into Ecommerce. Integrates well with other software systems. Would recommend.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Magento to handle all of our front end hosting for our web site. Great way to take in web orders and works in conjunctions with our other software systems.

  ### 3. Good for small business, terrible for growing a business

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam W. | Full Stack Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It is a swiss army knife solution that has been around for a while. Like wordpress this means that there are typically plugins you can purchase to accomplish any functionality you want, and there are thousands of themes to pick from.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

As a swiss army knife solution it isn't centered on performance. I've seen plenty of companies grow with the product, but they _alway_ end up prioritizing a six to nine month project to get away from it. Anything that helps the company grow with the resources it has is a good thing, so don't assume that you need to jump into a different product, or a home-grown solution though.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Subscription services, scaling, internationalization, multi-currency, sync with inventory.

  ### 4. Great for Large E-Commerce Businesses!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

I like how robust of a system Magento is and they have a great customer support staff. It is fantastic for large organizations.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It's interface is still a little clunky. I wish that it had a more easier way to view changes. We have an e-commerce company with over 20,000 products (conservatively) and I have a staging site. If I want to view my changes, it takes a couple extra steps. Also, it isn't ideal for bundling products together in multiple SKUs on one product detail page. We have had to have that feature built in.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

To focus more heavily on setting up a feature to bundle multiple products together on one product detail page that will allow operations to take the orders as individual SKUs (since they may be coming from different retailers).

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to quickly get products up on our Magento website for some of the largest companies in the world.

  ### 5. My Magento Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Varun C. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

There are lot of things that Magento does better. The User Interface which has transformed from the Magento 1, the catalog management system has also improved a lot. Then, the community is very much active and growing every week. The best thing about Magento is the flexibility it offers.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The performance has improved a lot but is still not on par with some of the platforms. Although it has an active community, there are few quality developers working with the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

It's best suitable for developers and will perfectly fit them.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Magento to create, setup and design an online store for small businesses and suppliers.

  ### 6. Robust platform - intersting architecture

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin C. | Owner and CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Powerful, relatively easy to use and secure

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

CSS , compilations, architecture, cache

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

You will discover few things that make you scratch your head but with some time, you will figure it out.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More options and plugins from previous platform we migrated from

  ### 7. A powerful tool - but only for folks with powerful developers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

If you run a multi-store with thousands of SKU"s - it's really your only bet. It's the only e-commerce platform that will not hold you back from your "what if's" (assuming, of course, you have the money to pay the developers to execute the "what if" dreams)

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

We've operated a multi-store Magento company for nearly 9 years. Unlike fine wine, it does not age well. With every update, every extension, every passing month - it begins to deteriorate or dysfunction. If one developer made a mistake in the base code 7 years ago - you'll feel it for years.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Don't make our mistakes: don't hire small developers that can't keep up: go with a powerhouse firm that can ask the gal/guy in the next cube if they're stuck. If I had a time machine: I'd hire better developers, but I'd still pick Magento.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's the only platform for multi-stores with thousands of SKU's - everybody's else requires we split our shops apart, pay per/shop bills, etc.

  ### 8. Using Magento for Company wide Inventory

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Affairs | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It makes it much simpler from any branch in my company, store, e-commerce or warehouse, to locate exactly where and how much merchandise we have. This helps us keep efficiency compared to before when we did so manually, as we are still a young company operating in the US.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The fact that our task was very difficult for the developer who made our system for us. The delivery was delayed by 13 months, after paying half of the fee upfront.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

If you're doing all of your work manually, I know it is a struggle. If you can afford to move on and make things more cohesive, make that step. It will make everyone's life easier.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I stated before, it helped us bee more efficient on a company level.

  ### 9. Strong basis for api driven ecommerce

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The fact that most errors or scenarios you will encounter have been encountered before, and can usually be solved by work arounds or extensions.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Some long term bugs and slow api call processing

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Api based stock and sales sync

  ### 10. One of the best BI tools out there for eCommerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Data automatically updates within created reporting. Data is easy to access

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Great product overall, no real issues with it

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for analysis and tracking of all eCommerce sales. Used for data analysis and reporting

  ### 11. Ecommerce Platform with an awesome comunity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Paper & Forest Products | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The amount of available plugins. Magento is growing and growing and for every feature you want to add to your site you will always have a plugin.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

At some point the performance. For big ecommerce with big catalogs the performance is not extremely good, so you have to invest in a beter (and obviouly more expensive) hosting,

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

For complex projects with not a very high budget is a good option.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am selling online properly as well as I am adding new features and services to all my clients, online or not,

  ### 12. magento is great

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

configurability, speed, flexibility, workflow

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

awkard interface, not always easy to use

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

not sure what this means

  ### 13. Test before launch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Nice interface and more options than Yahoo e-commerce solution.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Many issues. I think there was a lack of testing done before launching and I cannot say if Magento also had issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Just make sure if you have issues that Magento will be able to support you.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

E-commerce website. Better features and analytics of website traffic. Nicer website design and ease of use.

  ### 14. Only for big proyects

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Onsearch I. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The options for the catalog of products is great

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Update and extension are not friendly.
You need programming skills to have up to date

  ### 15. Powerful platform, buggy core functionality

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Platform is really powerful with a good development community for functionality to fits your business

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

V2 is a buggy upgrade. There’s a lot of core functionalities that doesn’t really work smoothly.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Don’t go at it alone even if you are an experienced developer. Make sure you are well connected with the developer community for help and guidance.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eCommerce business made possible. Realized a lot of new business opportunities via their functionality and possibilities

  ### 16. Upgrading to Magento 2 not recommended

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Magento 1 was easy to use and had a flexible theme and plugin management system. Although the caching system worked out well the search went

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Magento 1: Although the caching system worked very well the search performed terribly with large amount of data. Solutions for this issue are rarely available.

Magento 2 is based on thousands of XML files gathered together which makes things complicated. The XML files create a large overhead wich requires the use of many compilers and caching. If you don't know the exact structure of the XML files and theme definitions very well the structure is not straight forward so you need much time to get very easy things done (like removing simple elements)

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Do not use Magento2 - since Magento 1 worked well Magento 2 makes things more complicated and created a large overhead. The new admin is modern but not intuitive to our customers.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serving online shops for customers with custom designs

  ### 17. Intuitive. User friendly. Good for a small business.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Our antenna business just became ecommerce friendly a year ago. yes we were still accepting POs. Our sales have increased with the amount of time magento saves us when processing orders! also it integrates well with shopify.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

a bit slow at times. does kick you out after not being logged in a for a bit. I am sure it is for security reason but would be nice to know why.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its an easy way for us to send updates to the web consumer. allows us to setup tiered pricing, price levels, and manage clients through the portal. the backend also allows us to view customers shopping cart.

  ### 18. Magento not for Small Medium company

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Overall its good for customization and perfect for companies who want to expand their process flow to meet business needs

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Requires deep learning curve in order to customization any modules. The infrastructure not that friendly, you might need the expertise to do the jobs

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Great platform for those who already have other in-house systems and looking for highly customizable platforms to meet business needs

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with existing warehouse system and other in-house software/systems

  ### 19. Not the best platform available.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

I like that it is similar to most ecommerce platform so the learning curve is not hard.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It costs a lot to update, we haven’t upgraded to magneto 2 due to the price. Wordpress is more simple and more functional than magneto.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There haven’t been many upsides to this platform, the one good thing is we have been able to integrate our continuity program fairly easily.

Quick and easy setup with numerous helpful widgets for customization

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Easy to install, update, and maintain. May require some outside assistance to skin and customize for your individual company needs.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of storefront with fluid UX-friendly interface

  ### 21. Fantastic all around!

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2017

The level of customization to suit your needs is over-the-top! The basic structure is easy to navigate, and adding your own features and keeping it all organized is easy and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Perhaps some basic features aren't automatically included as far as store options, however it isn't hard to add them yourself if you are nifty with programming and html.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The speed and organization that Magento works has greatly improved our ability to list products faster and get them visible to our customers far quicker than other formats. The versatility also lets us make pages and options that we couldn't before.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It is capable of doing a lot, and there are lots of possibilities and options.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It's just not very user friendly. I always have to search up tutorials on things before I can figure them out... nothing is very intuitive or self-explanatory.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it for our various branded web store applications.

  ### 25. Great sales & inventory platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

I like Magento because its simple to use yet there are so many different options and extensions. This allows the user to customize it and make it more complex to meet their individual company's needs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

I dislike that there are always notifications for irrelevant things when I log in.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Take some time to figure out all the features and addons as they will be very useful once you know all the options available.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory tracking has been a lifesaver. I like how you can track individual warehouses for product tracking and inventory.

  ### 26. Very powerful if you know what you are doing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Very powerful, tons of add ons, many of them free. Community support is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It is a bit of a resource hog. You do need a decent server to run this well and caching is a necessity.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Started an online store with thousands of drop ship products with very little to invest. I am a bit of a hack as far as developments but was enough to build the store running smoothly. Business didn't last, but the cart was awesome.

  ### 27. Sales and Shipping Coordinators Dream

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It's a perfectly clear layout nothing difficult to figure out, even a child could use it. Search features and organization on it were a breeze. The features of the program were easily used across various departments and could easily limit the individual access of each employee instead of by department. I actually attempted to suggest Magento to the Sister company I worked for later on but they were set on Salesforce unfortunately.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

There was nothing I disliked about it to be honest. It was upfront and nothing left to question. It was a disappointment when I began working for the sister company of where I was and their Software was Salesforce.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

If you would like ease of use versus complication after complication then this is the software to use.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All employees easily grasped the concept of the software versus some other software in the market. Less time required to train employees when it comes to reviewing orders.

  ### 28. Magento for Ecommerce Shop

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

That I can easily navigate to our products, orders etc

I think the format is outdated and not very friendly user,

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Maybe consider that there are more user friendly type, or if they can make Magento simpler

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory management, order processing

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

No problems so far, but new to the software so still getting used to it.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

We love magento. it serves all our needs perfectly. It's versatile and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

you do need in house developers to customize anything with magento, it's meant for larger commerce.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

it's a great tool but you have to be able to put time into implementing it correctly.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have our DTC business featured on magento and it's easy to use. We are considering putting our B2B business on it as well.
