Calypso has wide range of functionalities and options for users to choose their desired models in the system. I was impressed by the flexibility Calypso offered in terms of the market risk module for computation of VaR, bootstrapping of interest rate curves, valuation models for vanilla and complex products as well as credit models used for CDS products. Calypso is bit complex tool and learning curve is bit longer as compared to other tools. It's because complex architecture. It will be great if some community support provided by Calypso team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From my experience best features of Calypso platform are:

-high performance

-flexibility (could be quite easily adjusted to the needs of the organisation)

-ability to offer automatic solutions for complex manual operations

The main downside during my work was that system got overloaded once in a while which resulted into significant delays in the workflows.

However, in most of the cases, Calypso platform was working fine after the restart. The only issue here was waiting till the queue of uprocessed operations gets processed (could take up to an hour).
