"Revolutionized Our Warehouse with Real-Time Management"
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I like that we can use handheld devices in the warehouse with Acumatica. It lets us take and upload photos of the packing slips and material directly to the transactions in real time. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

I feel like there is still so much for me to learn with Acumatica. Our biggest hardship in the warehouse is the time it takes to process materials (transactions). It takes several minutes to get items received and onto the production floor. I'm sure this can become more efficient when I learn more on automation. The implementation took a long time, about 1.5 years, and wasn't easy, as it took me away from many of my daily responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I appreciate Acumatica for its simplicity and intuitive design, which makes it easy for basic users to navigate and complete their tasks, speeding up processes and finding efficiencies. I find the flexible UI, dedicated workspaces, and robust user roles particularly useful, allowing me to control user access and declutter workspaces, which helps users focus on their tasks and facilitates cross-functional collaboration across departments like sales and production. I also value how Acumatica has almost eliminated our dependency on Excel, which was a big issue with our previous software. "Scalable Solution with Customizable Flexibility"
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I like Acumatica's capability for financial controls, project management, time entry, financial reporting, service management, and manufacturing, especially in the construction and services industry. Its scalability and flexibility to adapt as we grow are key benefits for us. I also really appreciate the ability to change major workflows, approvals, and reports with low-code/no-code. Acumatica's generic inquiry tool is amazing because it lets me build almost every report needed for our business, whether it's financial reporting, operational reporting, or tracking records through workflows. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The field services module is probably the weakest aspect that could use more work. There are improvements on the roadmap that definitely solve the issues that we are experiencing. The calendar board for dispatching, for example, has a lot of limitations on scheduling intuitively and lacks the ability to show it as a calendar for field technicians on their mobile phone. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I find Acumatica's reporting feature easy to use, allowing me to create unique reports that are tailored to our needs rather than relying on pre-made reports. I like that Acumatica is continuously growing and advancing, with new advancements every year that keep it ahead of older ERP solutions. The new UI features are particularly valuable to me as they let me design the format of the screens to create a more user-friendly environment, minimizing unnecessary clicks for my end users. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

One of my end users' biggest complaints is seeing inventory allocation inside the sales order line screen. They currently have to click into the line details screen to see this information. This is a long process if you have a lot of items on the order. It was a lot of work to convert the data from the old system to Acumatica. Also early on in the implementation process, we had to make decisions on things we did not fully understand, and we just didn't know enough about the full capability of Acumatica to make some of these decisions. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I find Acumatica to be exceptionally intuitive. When I joined a new company with minimal training, I was able to teach myself how to navigate and use the system with ease. Unlike many other programs that come with frustrating quirks and steep learning curves, Acumatica runs smoothly and efficiently, offering a user-friendly interface that makes adoption straightforward.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The only module I’ve found to be somewhat less intuitive is the Inventory module. While I don’t use it daily in my role, I’ve noticed it can be a bit tricky to navigate at times. "A Steep Learning Curve That Pays Off"
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I appreciate that Acumatica is a big improvement over our legacy system, allowing us to scale our processes and increase the capacity and bandwidth of my team. I find it helpful that it enables us to grow and scale our processes without needing to increase headcount as our business expands. The mass actions through General Inquiries (GIs), screens, and import scenarios have been a huge value add for my team. "Valuable Data Access, Needs Improved Onboarding"
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I really like the access to data Acumatica provides, especially through the Generic Inquiries (GIs), which allows me to have better access without relying on another group. The potential for more automation is exciting as well; we're slowly working on creating this. The ability to build what I need and value, beyond standard reports like P/L and Balance Sheets, is a big plus. The GIs took time to learn. It would be great if there was a wizard for new users to build even a simple one. Also, the initial setup was moderate. It handles everything from DCAA compliance for government contracting to visibility and reporting for performance testing services. Plus, it manages accounting for our real estate business and supports foreign currency transactions, allowing me to consolidate and translate to USD. The system's ease of use for my employees is also a big plus, and having one system of truth for all my entities helps maintain consistency across all companies. "Intuitive Sales Order Process, but Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I love how easy the sales orders are implemented and how I can search for any specific word that is in an order detail. What really stands out to me is how intuitive the sales order process is from start to finish. Creating and implementing an order doesn’t feel like a chore; it’s straightforward, clean, and doesn’t require jumping through unnecessary hoops. That alone saves time and reduces errors, especially when things are moving fast. The search functionality is a game-changer. Being able to search for any specific word or detail inside an order means I can instantly find what I’m looking for without digging through multiple screens or relying on memory. Whether it’s a customer note, a product reference, or a custom detail, it’s all immediately accessible. Net result: less time hunting, more time executing, and better visibility across the board. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

Some workflows feel more complex than they need to be, especially for new users, and there's a bit of a learning curve. Certain screens aren’t always as intuitive as the sales order side of the system. Reporting and data extraction can also be a challenge, as getting data into a clean, usable format sometimes takes more steps than expected. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I use the Acumatica CRM and all of the accounting features related to project accounting, revenue recognition, month-end job costing, and timesheets. I like the stability of the program and, in particular, the flexibility to customize it. I think Velixo is genius and a perfect pairing to get the data out of Acumatica in a form everyone in our company can use without having to change the way they work. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

We struggle with revenue projections because we can't group projects together as a program, or create subtasks. We can't use the inventory IDs efficiently for our business. Because we are locked into using the inventory IDs for projecting revenue, we can't get the granularity we need. If we create too many tasks, our guys in the field and in engineering spend too much time on their time cards. The initial setup was awful. Our first partner was not helpful.
