**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

For what we use it for, it is easy to verify whether someone is working vs not.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

There are too many options. I would rather be able to select two options vs having an array to choose.

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to verify if employees are working, interacting with clients, instead of not and just collecting a paycheck.

  ### 7. Remote or In Person - Transparency is Key

I love that I can manage my remote and in- person employees with equal ease and without much effort. We rarely ever experience any issues with the ActivTrak system and when we do their customer support is always there to help us. We check in on our dashboard weekly and are able to compare notes about how best to support our employees in the coming weeks.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

There isnt much to dislike about it! I think it meets all of our needs at this current time.

We have to track time as a law firm in order to charge for billable hours and this makes that super easy!

Reporting is detailed and comprehensive. The ability to set bnechamrks and give employees visibility into how they are working compared to their peers. We also have found it a useful complement to our security stack-- often there's no substitute for being able to see exactly what the employee was doing at a particular point in time.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

No Linux agent support. 
Can take a little clicking around to find the most useful reports.
A bit more pricey than some competitors but the total value is there.

Work avoidance, presenteesim, visibility into security incidents

There are some filtering features that do not capture correct categorizations, even after you have categorized sites.

The lack of automatic categorization. IT is Having to categorize every application and website and it is time consuming and tedious.

I love that I can go to my Dashboard and quickly see the efficiency of my work-from-home employees.  It holds them accountable and gives me peace of mind that they are performing productive work from home.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

There are so many things you can do and measure and monitor with ActivTrak that it can get a bit overwhelming and confusing.

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActivTrak helps us make sure that our work-from-home employees are actually performing productive work in their remote locations.  The nature of our work is such that we are not always able to tell if someone is or is not working.  With ActivTrak, we are able to monitor their productivity and have confidence that these employees are working on productive tasks during their work hours.  This allows us to offer work-from-home as an option for some employees.

There are occasional delays in seeing the computer activity on their portal but these delays are minimal.

ActivTrak has been greatly helping us to monitor employee activity to ensure that everyone is putting the required effort and is doing productive work, especially because most of our employees work remote.

ActicTrak is very easy to use with an intuitive interface. There's a ton of helpful information to look through and analyze. It's not too complicated and navigating is seamless.

A program that's able to track everything from key strokes, mouse movements, etc., maybe it's TOO invasive?

almost all reports are locked to the higher paid subscriptions. interface is difficult to navigate in certain use cases.

Doesn't have multi platform tracking.  I would like that if someone is on 2 different applicaitons, it will register both at the same time.

It seems to provide pretty thorough information.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

The interface isn't super intuitive. I wish there were a view that showed avg hours worked per day over a certain time period (there probably is and I just haven't figured it out, because of the non-intuitive interface).

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to play the role of Big Brother and track my employees' productivity, which is very nice. I hate that I/we have to do this, I'd so much rather people were just responsible. But we've identified a number of salaried workers, people who signed a paper promising to work 40 hours per week, who are putting in less than half the required time.

Activity - I can easily see and get linked to what my employees are doing, especially those who work opposite hours from us and in a remote setting. I really enjoy all the various features, and being able to categorize different websites, it really gives a clear picture of what your employees are doing!

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

It was a little hard to understand at first, and get use to it. I wish there were more tutorials based on the industry you are in. And if your employees are remote, in office etc. I also wish you could make passive time as unproductive

The amount of customization within ActivTrak is very helpful. I especially like the custom alarms along with the presets that alert me in real time to issues that need attention.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

Sometimes the level of detail can be overwhelming. Some of the reports can be misleading, but they are constantly updating the interface to tackle these problems.

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to determine which employees are the most productive on particular days and over the course of time. I like that I can see trends within my team and can work to resolve issues before they become out of control.

**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

I like that there is such a variety of information. From what websites are visited and percentage to the same information on apps. Passive time is easily identified. Screen views are available for real time monitoring.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

Honestly there are no criticisms for this product. If I had to complain about anything it would be that on occasion the screen shot feature does hang and I have to log out and back in to see accurate data.

We now have the ability to track user performance and active vs passive time and sync it up to our payroll.

**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

With the advent of remote work, it's difficult to get a 360 degree view of how each of our team members spend their days.  With ActivTrak - it completes the picture by providing overall summaries as well as fine details for each member.  This greatly assists in recognizing our most diligent workers, highlights possible inefficient processes, and also helps with coaching if/as needed.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

ActivTrak by itself is great - but we all have to be careful of telling "my stories" of what we assume the data is trying to tell us.  I myself always try to give the end user the benefit of the doubt when the data may not show a favorable result.  Sometimes our tools aren't calibrated properly and tag content or activities "non productive" when they really are.    Other times, there may be a process or other component that results in the team member showing lower scores, to no fault of their own.     In summary, ActivTrak is a wonderful tool and quite useful - but just like every system, be careful to not "manage by numbers" and instead use the data to ask questions and help further understanding.

**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

Generally, we ended up not using ActivTrak very much at all. Maybe twice over the course of the year we used it for something. Maintaining all the machines and license allocations was where we spent most of our time. So maintenance rather than any effective use of the information. We basically spent time not only on the cost of the service but on internal resources on maintaining something we were paying for but not using.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

Not a good partner. They're not up front. They put you on automated annual renewal. We put in our cancellation 4 days after the required 30 days notice. Their response was that they sent us reminder emails. They made a big deal about how they communicated with us in advance. However, 

* they sent those reminder emails to an email address of someone who left the company many, many months ago
* that email address is NOT A USER on our ActivTrak account
* that email address is NOT AN ADMIN on our ActivTrak account
* there is no way to see that contact email address anywhere in the UI or to change that contact email address
* they didn't send any emails to ACTUAL admins on the ActivTrak account
* they don't include your renewal date or term anywhere in the UI

Furthermore, they said we could reduce the number of licenses.
* we couldn't reduce to 1
* we couldn't reduce to 10
* we asked repeatedly how many we could reduce to and they would not answer us

Seems pretty clear that they intentionally make it extremely difficult to know your renewal time and make little to no effort to remind you so that you can miss cancelling by a few days and then they deny your request to terminate. Then they make excuses and then just tell you to look at the contract when those excuses are shown to be untrue.

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not find the software helpful.

**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

When it worked, the alerts were great to give you a heads up on activity that needed to be addressed and taking screenshots of the behavior. Insights (if we could have afforded them) seem like they would have been great. It was easy to launch and get put onto our employees computers.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

Customer service is one of the worst I've experienced. Very responsive when trying to sell you or get you to renew but abandon you as soon as there are any issues. Most companies continue to evolve their product, which they did add features but any that would really help with productivity or you to even digest the data you had to pay extra for every individual feature. They invested nothing into fixing the alarms that would break constantly, address the speed of the program itself (it was so slow I actually had to hire a part time employee to monitor and digest the data so we coudl coach on productivity). The data classifications were not smart, you would have to re-classify every day even if you had already classified that URL or item before. The UI is great compared to other programs but the functionality and whats included is much better elsewhere. You're also locked in to a year contract, no matter what the issues you have they will not let you out of it. I had an issue I wanted resolved and it took 4 weeks of me actively following up for them to get me any movement on the issue and then bc of the poor customer service i wanted to quit and then they push me on the phone with a VP (who i had to follow up with for another 4 weeks)  just for her to try to upsell me on other features and say quit if you want but you're paying the rest of your 6 months left on your contract. We have contracts too in my business but we are good partners and when a situation warrants it, we wil work with the individual. They just care about money here - and they took away the ability for you to leave reviews anywhere which is shady - they control their narrrative or have paid reviewers and it doesn't allow consumers to get the real story. My suggestion for you is use another platform - much better options out there.

We went work from home during covid and needed a way to monitor what the team was working on so we coudl help coach the team on their producitivity and identify those heading for burnout to help them find balance

The great thing about ActivTrak is how we can see who is most likely to burn out as a salesman.  We have learned a lot about giving our sales guys some breaks and just taking some time to get off the phones and relax a little.  The use was very simple and laid out very good.

The downsides are that you have to have 5 licenses as the minumum.  We only wanted one to try it out and see how it works and if it would be a good system for us.

It is solving burnout.  We are able to figure out who we need to give more breaks to and who is working more than other to be able to reward them.

**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

The ability to deploy with no impact to the user, and the detailed analytics that are gathered and reported on, are outstanding.  The multiple reports make analysis easier than expected, looking at working hours, productivity and active logging.  In addition the ability to set do not track on users, and change up licensing on data gathering is a huge plus.  Also, the ability to group users to observe overall productivity and insights on a group, company or individual level is great.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

The data storage in Google platform is not ideal for us in extracting data and bringing to other analysis tools, such as Power BI or Domo.  We did get it to work, but could be improved.  The admin portal at times can be a bit confusing to use, but after training, all is well.

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had no idea what are users are spending their time on.  In addition, we are using the data to track how long it takes combined users to create and build 3d models.  We connect this data to our outside financial data (timesheet data) to create reports for what time and money is actually spent on projects.

Versatility of the program, we're able to calibrate the program to fit our company's needs. We mainly use ActivTrak to pull metrics for our managers and team to show where we're exceling and where we need to apply more attention. 
Each user has their own log-in so they're able to monitor their usage in real time.

I'd like to see more individual metrics as opposed to team-based. For instance, we'd like to provide Focus and Collaboration to our metrics reports but that's only available for team comparison.

  ### 50. Peace of mind monitoring with ActivTrak for the modern remote office

**What do you like best about ActivTrak?**

More refined control over agent, supervisor and/or manager activity KPIs. You're ability to monitor from a remote work model (w/ ActivTrak set-up properly); essentially eliminates that need for the old-fashioned supervisor to eyeball activity. We're able to have all the data from multiple campaigns remotely from nearly anywhere in the world.

**What do you dislike about ActivTrak?**

Duplicate user windows for the backend operators. We understand this is being worked out & should have a patch repair soon. It's a slight inconvenience, but does not make ActivTrak any less operable.

**What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Downtime registers as well as which software are being utilized more by agents. This enables metrics for better coaching via exported metrics (from ActivTrak) on how/where to seek improvements with agents. We also appreciate that agents are aware of when they're using non-work related tools, as these are quickly registered by Activtrak. Thus, agents WFH start to recognize their personal workstations as they would with an office due to that type of monitoring. It's a puzzle piece in holding admin & agents alike toward accountability when working remotely using tools that were once only controlled from an on-site work model / office.
