As one of the early users I have seen it go from strength to stregnth with constant updates. **What do you dislike about ActivTrak?** Windows updates and other bugs can some times stop some user machines from reporting. It is usually an easy fix and doesn't happen much these days but that is the only things. These problems can sometimes be caused by the users network set up not Activtrak itself. **Recommendations to others considering ActivTrak:** Never has it been more important than now to know what is going on in your business. Once we started using Activtrak we never looked back. It is one of the first things we look at and use for measuring prodictivity and having a good visabillity of our company **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Productivity, Evidence, Website blocking. Such as....a particular user and particular activities. **Recommendations to others considering ActivTrak:** Great software. Don't hesitate. Take time to build out your interface with Productive and Unproductive sites. I've also noticed that if I block a website the user can still reach it by clicking a direct link with a longer subdomain. **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving the problem of remote management, for sure. We realize the cost savings productivity provides, but a state and local government do not have the flexibility to handle mid-year increases that were not budgeted for, especially when they are a high percent increase. ActivTrak sales did offer us a multi-year payment plan so we could adjust along with a discount. Perhaps certain application is considered productive to one group but unproductive to another. If there's a way to classify them by group that would be amazing! **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to track each employees productivity and determine where they may need a bit more help. If we find that a certain employee tends to finish they're work faster and have more time on their hands than others than it's easy to determine that we can give them a slightly heavier workload. There is an option to exclude users but I would prefer to put in the usernames I wanted included. It is expensive for what it is, but remember how much it would cost to run it internally. Do one demo on the free account and management will SALIVATE over having it. I would strongly encourage your company to formulate a policy with a lawyer and introduce the product to employees. I also like that I can see on any particular day what was going on if there ever needed to be any investigation. Only thing I can say I wish they had was key logger for each user. Only thing they have right now is to alert you when a certain word is typed. **Recommendations to others considering ActivTrak:** Anyone who needs data prevention or employee Monitoring should look into this. This seriously is a great product and customers just need to give it a chance. They also have a free trial as well which is good for up to 3 users. We had an issue with some employees working on personal things, on company equipment on company time. We needed the evidence to do something about it, and ActivTrak got the job done! **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to use it to prove that some employees were using company equipment and company time to do personal things. That is to say; As one application or site may be classified as Productive for one group of users, it is not so for another. I.e Job search site for HR, as apposed to a technician. Use of Wildcards (*) would make administration of such filters easier as well.
