The offer of a discount for a charitable organisation was really appreciated. When we first implemented the software, we had a designated representative that was instrumental in helping fix our issues efficiently; however, that went away and getting issues resolved can take longer than desired via the ticketing system. We have also run into small kinks in the system (i.e. exclusion lists/unsubscribes) that no resolution was found. As a small agency, I appreciated the reasonable fee structure which made this system so much more affordable than their competitors. For example, so many systems charge a fee for each user per month which made them cost-prohibitive. Our Active Campaign Plan allows up to 25 users which allows us to expand our business at an affordable cost. Also, their tagging, forms, and email templates are good quality. The system itself is a clean design, intuitive and powerful for any marketing needs. We love the AC email automations & use them for our own business and for clients' marketing services. We were able to connect our proposal software with Zapier although we were impressed with the number of native application integrations. The Calendly integration has formatting issues which we have been unable to resolve. This could be a problem with Calendly. It connects data but we need to re-enter it manually. Our team has enjoyed the in-person training they provide in nearby cities. Customer support has improved. They are more available and provide good follow up. **What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign?** It's the best system by far in terms of overall organization & use. I wish forms did not require CSS for full customization. I particularly love the automations—allowing you to set multiple rules and dynamic conditions—and now even AI-supported modules and features that take personalization to the next level. One of the best AI support chats—I’d say 95% of the time their AI chatbot can resolve the question or point you in the right direction. The documentation on the features is also great, making it easy to find things quickly without waiting for email support. Email support is also good, in case the AI can’t handle the query. They seem to have a large team ready to help. It’s also easy to integrate ActiveCampaign with external tools, either natively or via Zapier, to connect with other platforms or trigger external events like Slack notifications, etc. Currently running integrations with Shopify and custom applications, and it seems to work well. Good delivery rates. In our best segments, we’re seeing open rates as high as 70%. All in all, a great tool that’s being rapidly developed with new features every few months. **What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign?** It can be fairly pricey to start, but as the list grows, it becomes more affordable and also unlocks more functions and features. There might be some room for improvement when it comes to long campaigns, where quick cloning of elements like emails with 1–2 clicks would be helpful when building extended flows with certain amount of repeating elements, e.g. 10 email campaigns. **What problems is ActiveCampaign solving and how is that benefiting you?** ActiveCampaign helps us streamline and personalize our communication at scale. The automation tools are powerful and flexible, allowing us to set up flows with dynamic conditions, which saves time and increases engagement. We have a dozen or so segments, so we were able to build weeks’ worth of tailored communications, while also adding further customizations to these messages using personalization and custom values fed from different systems. In the last 6 months, we’ve extended our communications and engagement from a 1-week basic flow to around 6 weeks on average—keeping engagement high, and we’re not stopping there.
