## ActiveBatch Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful Cross-Platform Automation with Smart Error Handling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen R. | Data operations specialist, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

I do like the power of cross-platforms of ActiveBatch Workload Automation. We operate important processes across Windows and Linux servers with just one console which is very effective. Its built-in job steps and the ability to handle an error is enormous advantages as well. As an example, in case an ETL task meets a problem, ActiveBatch will automatically re attempt it or raise certain warnings, which will guarantee the integrity of the data. This preventive control saves us a lot of manual working and non-productivity.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Initial learning curve might be quite steep with complicated workflow designs. It is a little too long to learn all the specifics of drawing up complex dependencies and sophisticated scheduling algorithms. The user interface is at times not as intuitive as other more modern tools, though, which could use an update.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our nightmare of a broken and ineffective batch processing has been resolved by ActiveBatch. In earlier times, critical data processing was a mishmash of manual triggers and different scripts, which resulted in a lot of delays and errors. Now, everything is orchestrated automatically within ActiveBatch. Data loading and report creation is 100% automated and monitored, practically removing human intervention. This centralized control provides access to data in a timely manner and allows our IT employees to concentrate on innovation and not on reactive troubleshooting.

  ### 2. Our critical month-end close never fails now

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karolina M. | Cloud operations engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

I'm quite impressed with the event driven capabilities of ActiveBatch Workload Automation. We are able to automate processes depending on events such as files dropped or updated in a database so that we can take action instantly, without manual intervention. The extensive library of integrated job steps is another major plus. As an example, the integration with Salesforce, PowerShell, or SQL operations is a plug-and-play, which saves tremendous amounts of development time.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The biggest complaint that I have with ActiveBatch is the logging verbosity of very large workflows. Although detailed, it may take time to go through long logs to identify a small problem. Also, sometimes the re-engineering of existing scripts or complicated legacy jobs in order to take full advantage of its advanced capabilities takes more re-engineering than expected.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch has been very useful in breaking down silos in our operations and reducing human error in our IT processes. In the past, critical data synchronization and report generation were handled with different scripts and manual checks across various departments, which led to inconsistencies and missed deadlines. Those complex interdepartmental workflows are now fully automated and centrally managed with ActiveBatch. As a result, we have stronger data integrity, more accurate reporting, and significantly improved reliability for our mission-critical systems, which gives us real peace of mind.

  ### 3. It's our clear structure for managing scheduled workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Athena A. | Systems automation engineer, Industrial Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The most remarkable thing is that it maintains everything in line without having to supervise it all the time. I am able to plan tasks so that they do not overlap and get confused. The range of features provides me with enough flexibility to adjust workflows, as the business requirements evolve. It streamlined my work process as I no longer spend as much time responding and more time on key decisions.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The problem that I have the most is the congestion of the workspace when numerous processes are involved. The platform has numerous capabilities, but it becomes hard to have a clear overview. This has affected my day to day work since I will have to take longer hours to verify details before effecting changes.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch is a solution to the issue of the lack of task execution or inconsistency in my workplace. Prior to its use, I was forced to perform it manually which tended to create some errors. Tasks are now completed sequentially and I am no longer worried about forgetting something. It is an advantage to me in enhancing uniformity in day to day activities.

  ### 4. Structured approach to managing background operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele T. | Information processor, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The best part of ActiveBatch that I like is the way it can perform repetitive tasks without my interference. The frequency of use is high as I rely on it to carry out my daily activities. The features count facilitates the variety of jobs on platforms. I have linked it to our ERP and database systems, and this has simplified the processes. It enables me to remain productive since I do not have to be vigilant of tasks always.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The problem is that certain settings may be initially confusing. Despite having a powerful amount of features, it is time sensitive to comprehend them. This impacts on my work when I have to create new workflows within a short time. There are times when additional steps are needed to be integrated with some systems.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch is the solution to the issue of manually administering repetitive tasks. The implementation required time since I had to trace everything on my own. Currently, it has been embedded in our systems and continues to run processes automatically. I would go through it regularly and it is so time saving.

  ### 5. ActiveBatch Workload Automation improves our control over background processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastien K. | Data Center Technician, Wholesale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The greatest benefit that can be seen to me is that it places background processes in a structured and orderly manner. I use it to handle activities between the internet and the databases and this makes operations uniform. I can use its features to determine dependencies and prevent job conflicts. This has enhanced my work planning as well as decreased the necessity to engage tasks manually throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

A negative effect I have observed is that ActiveBatch Workload may be initially overwhelming due to the volume of features it possesses. It is a process to realize the ultimate working of all. Certainly, establishing new working processes demands additional effort in others, which annoys my progress.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch is used to solve the issue of manually handling system repetitive tasks. It was time consuming since I had to activate processes and verify them individually before taking some action. Everything now is operating in an organized manner and I am able to concentrate on more meaningful work.

  ### 6. ActiveBatch manages resources smartly so our most important jobs are completed more quickly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc M. | IT Process Automation Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch is very effective when it comes to managing complex cross platform workflows. We apply it to automate our whole nightly ETL operation, to transfer data between systems consistently. The built-in Job Step Library is amazing; it offers pre-built integrations with different applications and technologies, such as the ability to connect simply to our cloud storage or database systems.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Though quite powerful, the interface of ActiveBatch may be slightly outdated and less user-friendly as compared to newer solutions, which will need some adaptation. Initial learning curve, particularly in advanced scripting and complex workflow design is quite steep.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past, our operations team used to spend long hours manually running and monitoring complicated nightly batch processes which resulted in delays and missed dependencies. Activebatch can now orchestrate such workflows automatically, with hundreds of jobs being run reliably without human intervention.

  ### 7. Good and reliable scheduling for critical operations across systems

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Horacio T. | Senior IT Operations Manager, Industrial Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The best aspect of ActiveBatch is that it allows our important IT processes to run with a high level of reliability without the close monitoring. E.g. database backups, file transfers, report generations occur automatically in the correct order. I especially like the in built notifications which inform the team about the completion of a task or the need to attend to something.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The only disadvantage I have encountered using it is that set up of long chains of jobs with more than one dependency can be time consuming. The definition of each step should be thoroughly established to make sure tasks are activated in the right order, and this can be slow at times when introducing new processes.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation addresses the issue of handling manual repetitive IT processes. As a team, in the past we used to spend hours to make sure that database backups, report generation and file transfers occurred within the due time. All these processes are now automatic and notified in case of problems. This will minimize mistakes, the IT personnel will be able to divert their energies to more strategic business and enhance operational reliability.

  ### 8. It helped a lot in an organized approach to managing scheduled business processes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarindra R. | Database systems administrator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The most significant benefit to me is the ability to be in control of the routine operational jobs. I depend on it in managing data flows within our online store as it helps me send out such tasks as order files generation and periodic database maintenance scripts. The number of times I use it is very high because they are processes that are performed daily. The site has some robust features that ensure that I can specify job requirements and time constraints.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The only disadvantage that I have observed in the use of ActiveBatch Workload Automation is that sometimes it may be inconvenient to maintain older workflows. Our company created numerous job sequences in the first implementation and when it comes to reviewing them after several months, it is important to carefully check them as there are several steps intertwined.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest issue that ActiveBatch Workload Automation will address to our team is regularity in operational practices. We receive a great amount of orders on a daily basis and this demands periodic background activities such as the generation of shipping data and, the preparation of accounting files. Using the platform, I plan these processes to occur in the appropriate sequence without a person being in charge of them.

  ### 9. It improves enterprise job coordination

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hector O. | Batch Processing Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The outstanding aspect is that it enhances accountability of IT team. Each of the planned procedures has a definite owner and a recorded history, which lessens the confusion between shifts changes. The features allow the role based access and approval actions prior to the execution of key jobs. It has moulded our internal discipline because we use it so often. It is also linked to ServiceNow to update the tickets, making the operational communication well organized and trackable.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

One of the challenges was the effort required during implementation. It required time to harmonize the various departments in terms of naming conventions and job ownership. It has a powerful range of features, although it occasionally introduces additional configuration procedures. With the frequent use we get the slightest setup errors to show up. This added more pressure to our IT staff until the clear definition of standards during peak accounting cycles.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation is the solution to the issue with the repetitive background tasks. In the past, we used different schedulers that lacked good communication hence overnight processing gaps. Workflows with frequent use are arranged and foreseeable. Its wide features enable us to establish circumstances and upward course. This has brought in a feeling of confidence in our operations department and has also lowered the number of unnecessary manual checks in the morning.

  ### 10. This solution helps me manage multiple jobs at once

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luigina P. | Director of IT Operations, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

One of the things that I find interesting about ActiveBatch is the ability to hold processes to be predictable and accountable. Each of the scheduled jobs indicates ownership, estimation due date, and the status of completion thus easy to do follow ups. Since the team utilizes it on a daily basis when running scripts, generating reports, and performing maintenance, it has enhanced reliability, lowered the possibility of missing actions, and has enabled us to organize projects without having to monitor all the time whether the jobs are being performed correctly.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

In my experience, ActiveBatch may be enhanced in graphically presenting overlapping workflows. Under the condition that several sequences are interdependent or are performed simultaneously, it may be hard to see the entire picture. Since the platform is extensively used in day to day operations, this occasionally increases the coordination efforts to make sure that everything is operating properly.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It addresses the issue of untrustworthy manual implementation of tasks in several systems. In the past, manual execution of batch jobs, file transfers and updates have led to errors and delays. Dependency tracking, alerts and automated sequences are now in place and processes run reliably. This has enhanced the consistency, minimized errors and also enabled the team to concentrate on more valuable work rather than on manual work that requires repetition.

  ### 11. It's a reliable platform for scheduling of multiple tasks and jobs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander C. | IT Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The outstanding feature is the ability to coordinate and order several processes among systems. I apply it in all my daily activities and automate them to make sure that there is no daily monitoring of dependencies and that deadlines are met. I especially appreciate the fact that it minimizes possibilities of errors and makes operations predictable, which makes me calm in the midst of heavy project times.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The thing that I do not like is the fact that a workflow with nonstandard tasks might take extra steps to be configured. This will reduce the speed at which jobs are implemented in case of a series of projects to be automated. This imposes little planning and additional checks in my role to make sure that all processes will run without any problems, which costs me a little more time.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation will deal with the issue of manual coordination and possible task conflict. It provides an organized method of automation and sequencing of jobs. This helps my business in that it enhances reliability, lessening the manual repetitive work and making sure that the procedures are carried out as desired. Employees can concentrate on their main duties, projects are performed easier, and daily tasks do not need as much control.

  ### 12. Great consistent automation for business critical operations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry C. | Platform administrator, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The greatest benefit to me is the ability to specify the tasks by when and how to execute them. As an employee in the online retail infrastructure, I have been using it daily to allocate priorities as well as determine the conditions of execution of the financial and inventory jobs. The variety of features associated with events based triggers ensures that its workflows remain predictable. Due to high frequency of use we rely on such structured rules in order to evade conflicts in operations and unnecessary overtime.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Among the negative effects I have had is that an advanced workflow logic might be challenging to document in a clear manner to non-technical stakeholders. Although the feature count is solid, it is observed that in some cases, the process of explicating job requirements to finance or operations departments may need additional meetings. Since we have been using it a lot, any confusion regarding the task ownership can generate internal friction and slow down the process of decision making.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch has addressed the problem of the lack of uniformity in execution of tasks in various departments. Teams used to use it by relying on individual scripts and personal reminders which posed a risk before the application. Today, with systematic rules of execution and documented workflow, the responsibilities are well defined. The feature of conditional triggers decreased forgotten steps because of the number of features supporting conditional triggers. Since we have it in our daily activities, our daily activities are more ordered and planned.

  ### 13. Reliable process automation using Automate Robotic Process Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlo M. | Operations automation manager, Industrial Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

Personally, the most favorable aspect is the fact that Automate RPA can be used to handle repetitive procedures with reasonable reliability. As a coordinator of the online sales activities, I use it regularly to automate the order processing and back office updates. Its numerous options of workflow automation and error alerts ensure the workflows are flowing. Connection to the ERP and CRM systems will make sure that the data flows can be made without any additional use of human resources, which will also save time and increase the accuracy.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The problem with Automate RPA is that more complicated automations may take time to set up. Although Automate RPA offers a broad range of features, the creation of multi step workflow to perform individual tasks is not always simple. As we use the automations very frequently, testing and refining these automations sometimes postpones the implementation of new process improvements.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest advantage is the elimination of repetitive workloads and enhancing the consistency of operations. Prior to this, paperwork in processing of orders, invoices, and records was slow and with occasional errors. RPA automation can easily cope with these tasks and has error management features. Constant usage has enhanced the effectiveness of the teams, minimized errors and enabled the coworkers to prioritize on more crucial matters regarding decision making and customer facing duties.

  ### 14. ActiveBatch Streamlines Hundreds of Workflows with Best-in-Class Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aiden G. | Systems Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch makes it easy to streamline hundreds of individual workflow components into easy-to-manage jobs and schedules. Implementation was very easy as we had a dedicated technician on with us every step of the way, configuring ActiveBatch to work for our (comparably) small environment. We use ActiveBatch daily and experience little to no issues given how many jobs we run.

Integration support is very broad, with support for SharePoint being a massive upside that many other automation platforms have not achieved, and we look forward to exploring other integration opportunities such as webhooks and SSRS connectors.

Customer support is probably the best of any vendor I've worked with, with support often replying within minutes. Even though we are a somewhat smaller shop, we were given quick access to a dedicated representative, and I never have difficulties scheduling meetings as all support staff have a booking link in their signature line.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Some upgrades do introduce small issues, such as specific job steps breaking temporarily. ActiveBatch also has a somewhat steep learning curve despite the clean UI - you will want a technician to walk you through best practices (which they did for us) during implementation.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a wide spread of jobs running within ActiveBatch, but some of the bigger ones are MFT steps that grab files from vendor SFTP sites and store them locally/in SharePoint and scheduled PowerShell scripts. We also make use of their command line components to BCP data into our data warehouses. Another big set of jobs are emailing jobs that make it simple to notify staff of completed automation schedules or available reporting.

  ### 15. Structured job control in enterprise environments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Norbert K. | Enterprise Scheduling Administrator, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

Dependability is the best to me in ActiveBatch Workload Automation. I use it every day since work planned is predictable and there is no hustle. It served to save my team on the use of manual follow ups and saved on interruptions when the days were busy. Since its use, our working days become more organized, and few problems cross to the next shift or emergency solutions become necessary.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

What I dislike about ActiveBatch Workload Automation is that it is inflexible once the processes are in place. Adjustments are only possible after much planning thus when we suddenly change it takes us more time. This inflexibility affects the productivity when priorities change, and extra coordination between teams is required, further straining when teams are already busy.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue of unreliable task execution is addressed by ActiveBatch Workload Automation. Work was over reliant on the human memory to recall steps before the use of it. Tasks are now performed in a specific order and this minimized errors and overtime. Less time is wasted by my colleagues on rectifying errors, and our everyday processes become more relaxed and predictable.

  ### 16. It significantly reduces manual workload across systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khan H. | Process automation analyst, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

The best aspect of ActiveBatch is that it makes all the workflows centralized so that it can be controlled easily. I apply it in my day to day life to automate monotonous tasks and keep track of the progress in a single dashboard. Cross platform automation is made seamless by integration with SQL server, SAP and cloud services. It could be implemented easily and the feature set is capable of supporting both simple and complex processes and this has helped my team save a lot of manual work.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Its disadvantage is that the interface might be overloaded, particularly when several workflows are operating at the same time. There are integrations that need additional configuration affecting deployment. In peak seasons, it is a little cumbersome to monitor jobs. These problems make the learning curve to be steep among new members of the team and at times slow down rapid adaptation.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch confronts the issue of coordination of several cross systems. Activities that would have required hours are automatically done and thus save time and reduce chances of making mistakes. It has made day to day operations more effective, efficient, and has allowed my team to work on more strategic tasks than being on top of the job status all the time.

  ### 17. Automating daily batch jobs and reports

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Herve S. | Business Process Improvement Analyst, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

I prefer ActiveBatch Workload Automation as it introduces predictability and control to complicated processes. My work is kept efficient by automating file transfers, batch jobs and report schedules. Connection to databases and cloud services implies that teams are able to work together without any kind of delay. It has transformed my day to day routine as it allows me to concentrate on exceptions and improvements instead of regular inspections.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation has one disadvantage in that advanced configurations have a learning curve. Certain tasks and system associations require additional consideration or coding, thus raising the set up time. The challenges have postponed some rollouts of the projects. Even with these problems, the software is reliable, once it is set up, though the set-up process may require more effort than expected.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest issue that ActiveBatch Workload Automation can help resolve is the lack of efficiency in the work of manual processes. In the past, the task was routine and it had to be attended to all the time and was even prone to error. They have now become automated and operating on schedule and save time and errors. This simplifies my day to work and that of my colleagues enabling them to work on more important things.

  ### 18. ActiveBatch delivered predictable data flows, ending my late nights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourabh P. | Data Pipeline Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch has transformed our data warehousing team and particularly its capability to facilitate inter-application data transfers without necessarily involving humans. The automation features based on event makes our downstream reports always available on landing of the data, and this has been a significant change in our report timeliness. I also like that the scheduling can be granular so that we can maximize the use of resources during periods of low activity.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The first architecture to unify part of our more obscure legacy was somewhat daunting. The documentation is thorough, but some times it demanded more of an exploration than expected to get those particular connections working properly. The user interface to constructing complex conditional logic also seemed to me a little less intuitive than I had hoped, and required a little extra trial and error.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were struggling with increasing issue of orphaned batch jobs that would never die consuming system resources and giving undue unexpected failures in other processes. With ActiveBatch in place, now we have an easy way to track job lifecycles and establish strong failure standards with automated notices. This has highly minimized those surprise system slowdowns and guarantees our very important data loads that are nightly successful and undisturbed.

  ### 19. We find Active Batch fits our needs and top notch for enterprise workload automation!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg H. | IT Manager, Principal DBA, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

We like the flexibility and ease of creating intuitive custom job flows once there is an understanding of how Active Batch works. Also, the ability to iterate and make jobs better progressively and the dashboard view for seeing job success/failures.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

It requires specialized knowledge to use (skills from other applications don’t seem to transfer directly). Active Batch has many features and is hard to know what we don’t know about what it can do outside of immediate needs.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Active Batch allows us to easily centralize , retrieve data from multiple sources, perform ETL and keep our data warehouse up to date for accurate reporting purposes in a reliable manner. Active Batch also allows us to design job flows that help us monitor systems that do not have any native options to determine their status and it allows us to take proactive actions. Active Batch has the ability to remediate situations automatically as long as the job flows are designed in that manner.

  ### 20. Untangled our cross platform job dependencies, bringing daily workflow peace

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lille H. | Automated Threat Defense Integrator, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

I like the security features of ActiveBatch very much and in particular the granular access controls. We can set specific criteria on who is allowed to view or edit sensitive patient data workflows and that is important to our compliance. The other quality is the exhaustive audit trail generated. Should there be any doubt as to a data transfer, we can clearly tell when and by whom.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

It is slightly tricky to get around initial setup of custom error recovery logic. Matters are made difficult to tune complex retry sequences effectively. In addition, mobile interface should be enhanced in order to allow on the go tracking of some of the critical jobs. It can be a bit unresponsive compared with the desktop version sometimes

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our staff was expending excessive resources validating incoming patient records manually as well as causing file transfer to the various internal systems they required. This was a massive choke point, and it regularly caused reporting delays and inaccurate reporting and would often cause missed compliance windows which has been a constant source of worry. ActiveBatch is used to fully orchestrate these end to end data pipelines, starting with ingestion, up through validation and secure delivery. Our data integrity problems have stooped and our staff now have the ability to analyze instead of just moving data.

  ### 21. ActiveBatch Development Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

One of the most flexible applications for process management because of its ability interface with external programs, databases and API.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The one downside is that ActiveBatch has a lot of features and as a result is very powerful. I have been programming for over 10 years and the learning curve although not difficult was challenging. I think the fact that I am a programmer helped tremendously. I can imagine that for a non-programmer it would be difficult.

**Recommendations to others considering ActiveBatch:**

Great tool for running a set of scheduled processes with multiple ways of providing notification and alerts, (i.e. email, text.) It has a good complement of objects for interfacing with 3rd party applications and also includes scripting tools.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interfacing with third-party vendors via FTP and Web Service APIs. Interfacing with the Dell Boomi application. Using it manage our company's entire daily and overnight processing.

  ### 22. We simplified job orchestration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agness G. | System administrator, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

What I really like best about ActiveBatch is how straightforward they make building and managing complex workflows, even across different platforms. The visual drag and drop workflow designer is fantastic; you can easily see and arrange job dependencies instead of messing with complex scripts. Plus, their Integrated Jobs Library with pre-built steps for things like file transfers or database operations is a huge time saver.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

While it's powerful, getting ActiveBatch initially set up and fully configured can be a bit of a beast, it requires a significant time investment and expertise. The user interface, although functional, can feel a little less intuitive or modern compared to some newer web-based tools, sometimes making navigation a bit clunky.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch is fundamentally solving our problem of decentralized, unreliable, and manual batch processing and task automation. Before, we had scattered scripts and schedulers everywhere, making it nearly impossible to get a clear picture of what was running, ensure dependencies were met, or even quickly react to failures. Now, ActiveBatch provides a central hub where all our critical processes are scheduled, monitored, and managed. This centralization has drastically reduced manual effort, improved process reliability with better error handling, and given us invaluable visibility into our automated operations. It's moved us from reactive firefighting to proactive management of our workload.

  ### 24. ActiveBatch review by Jannatul

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jannatul H. | Senior Cloud Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

This tool enables users to automate their workflows and manage tasks independently through an intuitive interface, which helps minimize the need to depend on IT for basic automation requirements.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The interface may seem overwhelming for those who are new to the platform. Additionally, creating and managing complex workflows often demands specialized training or prior experience.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating repetitive tasks and streamlining complex workflows have significantly enhanced operational efficiency across both IT and business units. By implementing these improvements, our teams are able to focus more on strategic initiatives rather than manual processes.

  ### 25. Finally a tool that makes connecting all our crazy systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro P. | Operations Analyst, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

What I really like about ActiveBatch is how powerful and flexible its job step library is. It makes integrating with various applications and technologies surprisingly straightforward right out of the box. For example, setting up dependencies across different systems, like databases, file transfers, and custom scripts, feels much less like building a complex puzzle and more like assembling building blocks. Plus, the monitoring and alerting features are top-notch, giving us great visibility and control over our entire workload landscape from a single point, which is essential for our operations. It handles complex workflows reliably.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

If I had to pick a dislike, it's probably the initial learning curve. While it's powerful, getting fully up to speed with all the features and best practices can take a bit of time, especially for someone new to advanced workload automation concepts. The interface, while functional, could sometimes feel a little less intuitive compared to some modern web applications, making navigation slightly clunky at times. It's not a showstopper, but it's something to be aware of when you're getting started.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch is primarily solving the problem of managing incredibly complex, interdependent processes that used to rely on a mix of manual triggers, disparate schedulers, and fragile scripts. Before ActiveBatch, we'd spend hours troubleshooting failures, tracking down dependencies across different servers, and frankly, holding our breath during critical end-of-day or month-end runs. Now, everything is centralized, automated, and easily monitored. This has dramatically reduced manual effort, cut down on errors caused by missed steps or incorrect sequencing, and freed up our team to work on more strategic tasks instead of constantly babysitting batch jobs.

  ### 26. ActiveBatch: Increasing Efficiency through Simplified Workflow Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

I really like the way the monitoring has improved — the live dashboards and alerts save me from constantly checking logs. The scheduling feels more flexible now, and connecting with cloud services has become simpler, so I don’t have to spend hours on setup.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Sometimes it still feels like you need to dig around a bit to figure out a new feature. A few quick step-by-step guides inside the tool itself would help a lot. Also, if the log search could be a bit smarter, it would make troubleshooting much faster.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) Time and effort savings: ActiveBatch automates manual and repetitive tasks, resulting in improved productivity and efficiency.

2) Simplified workflow management: Modification and maintenance of complex workflows, streamlining operations and saving valuable time.

3) Seamless integration: Integrating with various systems is easier, overcoming integration challenges and enabling smooth data transfers.

  ### 27. We can finally schedule jobs across different platforms without a hassle

**Reviewed by:** Valence M. | Automation integration specialist, Civic & Social Organization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation provides users with an easy solution for controlling intricate workflows. The visual job designer offers an easy-to-use interface which enables quick process arrangement. The visual job designer makes it easy to create data integration tasks with multiple steps which results in time savings compared to manual setup processes. The system provides real-time monitoring alongside an alert platform which proves useful for our operations. The system notifies users instantly about job statuses and alerts instantly if problems occur thus reducing system downtime. ActiveBatch enhances our organisational efficiency by providing connexions to multiple enterprise applications.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

Smaller teams that lack IT support will face difficulties when implementing the system because setup procedures tend to be complicated. The system interface becomes disorganised which creates obstacles for users during navigation. The system's complexity problems decrease when users get more comfortable using it.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our batch job management has undergone a transformation by implementing ActiveBatch Workload Automation. Job failures occurred frequently before the implementation and troubleshooting took a long time to resolve. The system operates through automated and centralised control. Our end-of-day reporting functions without issues and our system identifies all failures within a short period of time. The system reduction of human interaction combined with operational improvement enables our team to shift focus from repetitive troubleshooting to strategic work.

  ### 28. Our batch jobs run like clockwork now

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateusz N. | Workflow automation specialist, Nanotechnology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch provides automated workflow management capabilities which enable me to establish and control tasks between multiple systems through an effortless process. ActiveBatch enables me to execute data transfers between databases and cloud services without involving human operators thus maintaining consistent data while lowering error rates. The tool provides seamless application integration that enables full automation of company business operations. The system provides immediate notification features which enable me to take prompt action whenever issues surface during operation.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The process of initial implementation requires extensive effort and lasts for a long duration. Small teams without specific IT experts might find the required infrastructure knowledge barrier to implement this solution effectively. The system's user interface often becomes too busy which creates difficulties for fast navigation through the system. Novice users tend to experience substantial challenges while adapting to the system since they will require additional training for mastering its functions.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation serves as an effective solution for controlling and automating evaluation of advanced workflows. Previously I handled scheduling and task monitoring tasks through manual processes that used significant periods of time while consistently producing mistakes. The system operates with automated and centralized functions that help decrease administrative duties and enhance accuracy rates. The system enables me to define nightly batch processes which execute automatically without any issues. The system has improved operational efficiency while simultaneously cutting down on operational downtime. The system provides enhanced workflow performance tracking which enables better resources optimization and distribution.

  ### 29. I have been using ActiveBatch for more than 10 years, starting with version 7

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

Tree structure for objects is much more efficient for data separation between Prod and Non-Prod and between clients, projects or groups.
Having recent experience with a product that used a flat structure, I have greater appreciation for it. Imagine having a file system that allowed only a root folder and a single layer of child folders, no other subfolders. AB, in contrast, allows subfolders.
The Execution Queue paradigm in AB makes selecting which servers run jobs extremely easy.
Exporting objects from AB is remarkably easy.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The interface in version 12 is not as good as previous version as some columns are not well aligned and V12 layouts require window resizing to see some data fields.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AB allows our business to process batch jobs in a high availability fashion.

  ### 30. We finally have visibility into our processes and it's a relief

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro E. | Workflow Automation Engineer, Investment Banking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation is unique because it is so able to schedule. Since complex workflows like automating our monthly reporting is perfect, it’s just what we needed. One thing that is something I still find simple to use is the drag and drop interface which makes creating and editing work flows easier. I use it in everyday situations, and seen how it seamlessly supplemented our current data transfers and updates, as hard work gets taken care of.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

The one thing I’d pick is that the initial setup can be overwhelming for new users. However steep the learning curve is and your understanding of the features naturally rises with use. It has a real charm to it, for most tasks, but the documentation is not very user friendly, especially for beginners. This did not happen, yet the interface feels a little outdated to me, compared to others. Often, it feels you need to be a seasoned pro before your able to use everything it offers.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a practical point of view, I like how ActiveBatch eliminates bottlenecks effectively. It was a nightmare to manage our batch processes before using it and there was always a lot of chances of making mistakes. Now it is all computerized and this has saved a lot of time that could otherwise have been used in other activities. It makes things surprisingly simple, especially when it comes to the working of complex processes. For instance, earlier, it was a herculean task to manage data transfer between different departments.

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

Adding ActiveBatch to our automating our workloads list really works. It allows us to save a lot of time and effort in processing and handling complex task across multiple systems. An example is its file transfer feature allowing for smooth movement of data between servers, something that troubled us quite a bit until now. Also, materialises, its task dependency management is godsend as there’s no more need to worry about tasks running out of sequence.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch is great, except there is room for improvement. On rare occasions, we have to simply restart here and there. Additionally, the user interface could be updated and more modern, user friendly. For instance, figuring out how to set up certain job dependencies was something we had to take time to work out.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch has greatly deprived our workload management woes. Implementing it meant that before it, scheduling and monitoring jobs across multiple systems was a nightmare. That means we now can easily track job status as well as dependencies in one place. What this has not only done is save us time but likewise, it has minimized errors and has also reduced the necessity for periodic manual intervention. We are so lucky to have an extra team mate that manages our workload.

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa E. | IT Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2024

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

My favorite feature of ActiveBatch Workload Automation is the increase in efficiency which it provides due to the huge number of available functions. We especially derive value from the improved connections it has with other software such as ERP and CRM systems. This has helped in enhancing our operations as it has eliminated a lot of paperwork, redundancies and mistakes. It has also let us to concentrate on additional and more relevant activities due to the regular utilization of its automation functions.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

A potential drawback of ActiveBatch is the fact that the system’s installation may entail some complexities in the beginning and requires considerable efforts. This made it more complex especially because they required additional resources in order for the process to be up and running. Also, some aspects of the features look somewhat unpolished and give a vintage vibe, which only adds to the inefficiency of the program. While using the software, there are some areas that were problematic, so it would be nice to see updates often to correct such problems.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, ActiveBatch has really improved our work by automating repetitive processes that allow avoiding focusing on new strategic plans. They pointed out that it has greatly improved our productivity and has reduced possibilities of making mistakes. The other factor related to its characteristics is that it can interface with our current systems with no disruptions to our processes. Me and my team have used the new functions for a while now, and we saw that the amount of manual work decreased significantly while efficiency and satisfaction also rise considerably.

ActiveBatch Workload Automation has many features that provide operational benefits which could be a disadvantage for some users because of the software’s intricacy. The lesson to be learned from full exploitation involves a range of experiences that sometimes give rise to disadvantages and difficulties in implementation. In particular, one notes that sometimes there are technical problems that disrupt the workflows and these problems may relate to compatibility issues with certain particular programs as the issues have to be resolved manually, which might take considerable time and is generally annoying.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia C. | IT Operations Manager, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation is very strong in terms of feature numbers and very powerful in terms of integration with other software. We decided to implement it within our data management systems, which had a very positive impact on the flow of our work. The interaction which was earlier done manually and could lead to errors have been eliminated since we are now able to automate them hence our team can work on other complex tasks. However, its written and graphical reporting features have enhanced our capacity to track and revise procedures as well.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

A disadvantage of ActiveBatch Workload Automation is that there are very few opportunities for configuring it specifically for certain process types. Sometimes this constraint results in such people having to bend the system to their ways instead of the other way round. Also, the deployment and installation of the environment may take time, and it may be tiresome at first. These limitations have left us in a position that we have not been able to fine tune this software to fit our operations as desired.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch Workload Automation effectively solves our problems concerning the automation of processes and data integration. This has also reduced the cycle time through clerical work automation and continuous flow of information across various systems. **What do you like best about ActiveBatch?**

Flexibility of ActiveBatch is the game changer. Creating jobs with the user interface is simple and ordered, thus, it is user-friendly even for complicated operations. The built-in choices are rather extensive, which minimizes the necessity for custom scripts. A licensing per agent machine, not per job, is an excellent feature, which makes us to scale effectively. In addition, the ActiveBatch Support team is outstanding in terms of response and resolution time.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBatch?**

At times, it can be a bit of a nuisance to work with complex scripts across several systems. Although drag and drop functionality is useful, it becomes unreadable for larger projects and simple process automation has to be sought elsewhere.

**What problems is ActiveBatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBatch is a great tool to automate and manage our workflow that is seamless and therefore, saves a lot of time and reduces errors. It permits me to link various systems and perform activities in an organized manner.

By automating this with the help of Active batch the assoicates are able to perform more critical tasks as well as there are no error or delay in the scan details or reports.
