"Actionstep: Seamless Integration and Ongoing Feature Improvements"

What do you like best about Actionstep?

I liked that, from the start, Actionstep integrated with our other software and strengthened our existing processes rather than forcing us to reinvent them. Over time, I’ve also appreciated how Actionstep keeps improving and rolling out new features and add-ons that help our business run more smoothly and support the way we operate, including helping us generate more revenue. What do you dislike about Actionstep?

The only downside I see with Actionstep is that upgrades are driven by popular demand. There was a small feature that we wanted to utilize when we first onboarded and since it is not valued by other clients, it did not become a priority for Actionstep. In fairness, a work-around that did not make sense for our business was suggested by Actionstep, but we opted to use a separate piece of software that completed the exact function that we wanted to accomplish. What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?

Actionstep is able to easily organize all of our client and case information into one area. One of our biggest concerns was calendaring and finding a way to centralize the ability for others in our organization to view and modify calendars. The integration of Outlook calendars directly into Actionstep was a game changed for our business.

Additionally, since Actionstep consistently upgrades their technology and adapts to the latest trends, such as Ai, they have come out with add-ons like Trace. Trace is a program that tracks work on a workstation level and then suggests time entries based on length of time programs were used as well as information based on the context of what was being worked on. While we are in the infancy stages of utilizing this new add-on, it appears that we should be able to reduce missed time entries and thus increase our overall revenue. "Modern, Intuitive Actionstep Interface That Makes Adoption Easy"

What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being a SAAS application, it is enabling us to move away from legacy infrastructure and adopt a modern way of working for our staff members. The ongoing support and enhancements to the application are a welcome change to other practice management systems. "Reliable and Evolving Platform That Mostly Meets Our Needs"

What do you like best about Actionstep?

Mostly suits our needs without any need for customisation. Actionstep is also continually developing the system by adding new features. Reliability is very good with almost no downtime in the 8 plus years we've been using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Actionstep?

What do you like best about Actionstep?

Some many things. For starters, 100% secure, always available in any browser, cost effective. Our firm is now delivering more legal service, fast and for less. Clients and 3rd parties love the portals and our users now LOVE their case management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Actionstep:

IMO, Actionstep is a must view, just for its powerful workflow capabilities and cloud pedigree alone. Of all the SaaS Practice Management Systems I reviewed, only Actionstep had the simplicity and yet the underlying power and flexibility to run our legal practice of 40 users and support our rapid growth. Warning, if any PMS vendor cannot demonstrate their system running 'securely' on 'your' device, run a mile or just accept that your bottom-line will not be as good as it could be. Oh, and I'd highly recommend moving your business to Google Workspace for further massive cost reductions, productivity gains, security and availability uplifts. I'm happy to take questions. "Clunky System with the Worst Support Team"

Their support team is so unhelpful. If you ever run into an issue, their first response is "there is no issue". If there is an issue that the team, acknowledges, the team will either take weeks to fix it, or will tell you that they aren't going to fix it. What do you like best about Actionstep?

Given that I'm the accountant and not a lawyer I use the system for different purposes. Also I haven't worked with another similar system so I don't have anything to compare it to. Take the time to get as much training as possible from AS resources rather than learn from others in the office who may not be using the system efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?

AML integration with Vigilance. I just need one report and the whole process would be streamlined. AML takes up time but now that there is a way lawyers can see if AML has been completed without having to dig through documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
