If I had to mention a minor technical point, agent deployment over local network paths in a non-domain (Workgroup) environment requires a quick manual batch script or local execution. Onboarding devices is straightforward, and linking everything to our Entra tenant is refreshingly simple. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the level of performance. I like that Action1 allows me to handle the entire district at one time, which means I can send updates at a convenient time for end users and get everything updated before the next day. It saves me from having to run to each computer individually to install updates, which is really efficient. I also find Action1 customizable and relatively easy to use. Sometimes I find the software to be slightly clunky. And that if I am looking for one specific computer it seems to be somewhat slow. It also asks me to go through several prompts. It just seems like it could be streamlined a little bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

200 free endpoints with patch management. I thought I'd have to pay heavily for any kind of patch management so had started to write my own scripts. Was so pleased to find Action1.

The reporting is far more in depth than I could have made myself.

Supporting Linux is a huge bonus too, we're using Linux more within the org.

Running custom scripts is also a huge bonus, I don't have to wait for endpoints to come on the VPN to pick up a GPO script.

The UI is very responsive and easy to navigate.

Scary to see how much software was unpatched in our org. While Action1 is undoubtedly saving time and money it has created more work because now we need to work out how to patch and update or remove all this software we didn't know about.

The only thing I really dislike is that I can’t remote into Apple MacBooks. Aside from that, it’s been a huge improvement for my IT services for Windows users and for those who work remotely. While Action1 is an excellent platform overall, there are still a few areas that could be improved. It would also be helpful to have more granular policy options and additional third-party software patching coverage. I currently use Action1 for patch management, script deployment, and remote tech support. It has greatly simplified how I update my endpoints, ensuring that not only the OS gets updated, but also the apps, and it warns me about the dangers of outdated apps. I appreciate the very user-friendly GUI, which provides an easy way to connect to remote users and deploy remote scripts on my endpoints. When connecting remotely, there are times when it has failed, and I've had to resort to using AnyDesk. Also, it's slow when it comes to switching monitors during remote connect. I'd like to see a Wake on LAN feature so that I can leave my endpoints in sleep mode on a remote site and also have the benefit of waking and updating them. I also couldn't get the AD Deployment tool provided to work, so I had to download the MSI and run it on the endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like that Action1 allows me to manage endpoints from anywhere without needing VPN access. This feature is quite convenient as I'm able to work remotely or from another room in the office seamlessly. The Action1 patch management platform is a brilliant solution for the never-ending fight with patches. The automations you can set up remove the headache of monitoring everything manually or having to rely on WSUS. The platform supports not only Windows, but also Mac, and it has recently added Linux as well. I love how easy and fast it is to use even at first contact with the platform. It covers all our machines both Windows and Linux (Even Mac, but we don't use it) with it have a lot of built in features like scripts, remotely access or install uninstall softwares and updates, lots of pre made reports and the ability to make new. Even though you can fine tune software some software identification through Software Repository, sometimes it flags a wrong software vulnerability because of a wrong software identification, like Firefox ESR which have two distinct versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
