Trusted by thousands of enterprises managing millions of endpoints globally, Action1 is certified for SOC 2 and ISO 27001. The company is founder-led by industry veterans Alex Vovk and Mike Walters, American entrepreneurs who founded Netwrix, which has grown into a multi-billion-dollar industry-leading cybersecurity company.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

- Unlike many vendors offering patching as a “check-the-box” feature of their larger products, we zero in on patch management.
- We ensure uniform patching across all applications and operating systems, with real-time visibility that minimizes risks.
- Our cloud-native approach covers every endpoint, everywhere, with no bandwidth penalties, thanks to P2P patch distribution.
- First 200 endpoints are free forever: scale up at a simple, transparent, all-inclusive rate.

What do you like best about Action1?

It's great for patch management, lets you schedule updates, great for software deployment, and remote desktop works well. It's easy to deploy and use and I'm in there almost every day. There are tons of reports you can pull and the script library is helpful too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

It's tough to think of anything but if I could wishlist something it would be MDM capabilities (being able to remotely control GPO-type settings) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Patch management is the big one, even though Windows Update was "on" on all my systems I was shocked to see the amount of them that were on unsupported versions of Windows 10 and just weren't updating. It's great to keep other software up to date as well. I don't use the remote desktop a ton but it's definitely saved me a few trips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Ease of use. Pricing. Sophisticated.

These are the simple terms I would use.

Easy to set up and install.

First 100 agents Free is an outstanding business model and plan.

The application is sophisticated enough that I can geek out on it all day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Limited functionality vs other RMM's

The Roadmap looks absolutely fantastic with upgrades and feature roll outs.

Some additional common scripts and network admin controls.

One thing that I would love to see, Organizations listed in the tree on the left. Rather than a drop down that i have to switch between.

A dashboard that would show a total (all organizations) status and then capable of drilling down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

A1 was exactly what we needed when we started our search for an RMM tool.

Because we are a small Service oriented company, being able to assist our clients quickly is key. Any remote tool is fine, but, we needed something more than just a remote desktop tool. We were looking at open source solutions because we know that other companies charge a small fortune for licensing.

Being able to tell a client that their warranty is out of date, or that they need to leave their machine on for after-hours updates is a great way for us to actively assist our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Best part about Action1 is how easily I can deploy Agents to any PC on my subnet, using the deployer on my PC (can even be better if I had a server to deploy from.)

Love the fact that first 100 agents are free, especially in todays world of 'everthing is a subscription per month.'

Honestly I only use Action1 as a secondary remote-access tool, as we have other tools for patch management and RMM; if I ever run my own IT department I would seriously consider the full Enterprise version of action1 on all domain PCs.

For now, I still appreciate being able to throw a remote agent on a machine not yet on our primary RMM tool, then use Action1 to 'bring that sheep into the fold!'

Thanks for being there and for offering a great product!

Chris P Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Really haven't experienced any downsides to this awesome tool, as I only use it for remote access, that works so quickly and smoothly in Chrome browser! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Action1 lets me throw a remote agent on PCs on our networkbut not within walking distance, from there I can remote in and deploy our primary RMM tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 has changed the way that I patch, run scripts, and maintain Windows machines. Gone are the days of maintaining a finicky WSUS server or relying on GPO's to try and manage Windows PC security patching. Action1 makes both Windows security and third party software updates easy! Implementation was a breeze with great documentation provided by Action1. The Action1 RMM software is affordable, and a great value when comparing against other RMM tools that I have used in the past. In my experience support was quick to respond with any questions that came up along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Action1 is newer than some of the other RMM's in the market, and they are actively developing the RMM tool to add additional features, the ease of use and functionality are preferred over some of the other RMM tools I have used in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit to using Action1 for me has been the ease of use and time savings when managing Windows patching and vulnerabiltiy discovery. I love that I can also use an awesome library of powershell scripting to peform administrative actions on endpoints and maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
