Action1 Overview

What is Action1?

Action1 is an autonomous endpoint management platform that is cloud-native, infinitely scalable, highly secure, and configurable in 5 minutes—it just works and is always free for the first 200 endpoints, with no functional limits. By pioneering autonomous OS and third-party patching - AEM’s foundational use case - through peer-to-peer patch distribution and real-time vulnerability assessment without needing a VPN, it eliminates costly, time-consuming routine labor, preempts ransomware and security risks, and protects the digital employee experience. Trusted by thousands of enterprises managing millions of endpoints globally, Action1 is certified for SOC 2 and ISO 27001. The company is founder-led by industry veterans Alex Vovk and Mike Walters, American entrepreneurs who founded Netwrix, which has grown into a multi-billion-dollar industry-leading cybersecurity company.

Featuring unified OS and third-party patching with peer-to-peer patch distribution and real-time vulnerability assessment with no VPN needed, it enables autonomous endpoint management that preempts ransomware and security risks, all while eliminating costly routine labor. Trusted by thousands of enterprises managing millions of endpoints globally, Action1 is certified for SOC and ISO 7001. How do you position yourself against your competitors?

- Unlike many vendors offering patching as a “check-the-box” feature of their larger products, we zero in on patch management.
- We ensure uniform patching across all applications and operating systems, with real-time visibility that minimizes risks.
- Our cloud-native approach covers every endpoint, everywhere, with no bandwidth penalties, thanks to P2P patch distribution.
- First 200 endpoints are free forever: scale up at a simple, transparent, all-inclusive rate.

What do you like best about Action1?

It does everything, every aspect of patching, remote installation of applications, providng alerts, reporting and remote access. What do you like best about Action1?

We are a small organization that had no 3rd party management for patching, software deployment, and Windows patching that we can rely on. Using Action1 has met all of those expectations and allowed us to make our organization safer, and helps us to maintain a secure environment for our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Getting used to the switches and abilities of Action1 are somewhat intuitive, but there are times when there isn't a way to accomplish something without additional software or powershell. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were having intermittent issues with the WSUS server not working as completely as it should along with the 3rd party patching that we don't have to monitor and update manually. We have used the Remote Desktop tools also to allow us management of remote users when they have "fallen off the domain" since the user does not have to be on our network, just the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
