Acterys has been relentless in their efforts to deliver a full-featured development flow for achieving complex planning/budgeting needs within Power BI. The fact that Acterys write-back features are API based provides customers an easy way to get started, achieve scale, and provide data modeling features that may be too costly to achieve without their solution. Building a tool that leverages an enterprise grade framework like Microsofts Azure Service and PowerBI stack comes with a level of limitations native to the underlying technology. There are some inherited limitations in Acterys owing to Microsoft idiosyncracies around how users are configured and how custom visualisation are handled in PowerBI.
