What do you like best about Act!?

During "business hours" it is very important for me to arrange my day in order to get the most contacts out of it. Every body is Sooooo busy these days and even when you nail people down to a meeting on the phone they still often don't answer the phone. Nothing gets accomplished unless you have a live person on the phone and act helps me to arrange my day, my week to maximize these contacts and turn them into business. What do you dislike about Act!?

the cloud version is so slow to interface with what I am doning on my desktop. I make more than a hundred calls a day. When I make changes in my data base and send those changes to my cloud to keep, the buffering sometimes takes a minute -or two. Multiply a minute or two aby 100 callls and you are talking about a wasted hour and a half of waiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Act!?

The ability to have every client at your fingertips, along with a detailed history of every meeting and/or activity, is monumental to the proper professional management of prospects and clients. ACT! has always been the main focal point of my business relationship process to ensure that I can be up-to-date and relevant and stay ahead of my marketing, sales and support communications with my prospects and clients. The program is extremely easy to use and has always continued to improve and fine-tune the performance and benefits. I also use Handheld Contact to keep the synchronization between my mobile device and my computer up to date. I have used ACT! from the very first day of its' launch back in April of 1987 and will continue to be a loyal user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Act!?

Very few items come up that cause me to be concerned or frustrated with ACT!. After using this incredible program for over 35 years, When I see that there are some areas that might need some updating or possibly new capabilities that need to be added, it seems that they are included in one of the future updates that come along. What do you like best about Act!?

What do you dislike about Act!?

To do, Call and meeting notes need a date and time stamp. I've communicated this for years to ACT! but to no avail. One of the add-on companies include it in their array and it was one of the main reasons I bought their product. You finally cleaned up the iPhone app, but it was a long time coming. There's still no Mac version, which forces me to maintain a separate PC computer basically just for ACT!. Intergration with Outlook doesn't function well even with aftermarket add-ons. What do you like best about Act!?

I can look up people without knowing their names. For example, if I recall the person lives in Montana and that he or she is a laywer, I can look up that category and presto I can easily recognize the name from a short list of attorneys in Montana. ACT is easy to use and the support is good. I am a one person company and have over 8,000 names in my database which I have built over the past 27 years. Thus, it appears that I have entered slightly less than one person a day on average into my database for the past 27 years. ACT has been a lifesaver and has greatly increased the my efficiency which is what it is all about in my business. Because of my database, clients and even competitors call me to help them find certain types of people in various parts of the country. Thus, in my case ACT has become a marketing tool beyond my direct use of the software. People call me and say that they heard that "If Jeff can't help you, he will help you find the right person." I frequently get such calls. Becuase I tell my cleints and competitors about my ACT database, the word has spread and prospective clients call me out of the blue for help. I almost always can help them directly or from my ACT database. I am delighted. I call my ACT, my secret weapon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Act!?

President and Board of Directors at ACT: I am concerned that when I retire that I wouldn't have access to my database of over 8,000 names. I made my concern known to ACT and because the regular support people didn't know how to address my concern, the President of ACT called me with a suitable solution. I am very happy. What do you like best about Act!?

Act! contact management facilitates my work by helping me maintain simple access to organized customer data. Flexible fields and tags in Act! help me establish proper contact categories which improve my organization. The email marketing tool transforms business outreach by enabling simultaneous personalized communication with multiple clients. What do you like best about Act!?

It mostly has unlimited fields and data capacity!

1. I spent almost $15,000 on Act! And now, I need several reports from technical support; which I requested on 6-7-occasions, with NO SUCCESS!

2. You never get the same person on your case twice, so you have to repeat over-and-over the probem! Very frustrating! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Act!?

ACT! does an excellent job of maintaining all my contacts and companies and documentation. Excellent tech support....and I mean really, really patient, knowledgeable, pleasant, and personable tech support people. Have been using for over 4 years now and am pleased with price and depth of support.

I use it every day!

There are so many features that I am still learning about all of them.

For me, as a basic user it is great, and pretty damned easy!

What do you like best about Act!?

I appreciate the customizable interface that allows me to incorporate custom fields and arrange them according to my preferences. Additionally, I am quite fond of the marketing automation tool, which I have yet to utilize to its maximum capacity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
