Plus, the support is pretty fast; once you get past the initial first line responses, you can contact technical specialists relatively quickly, and they are all knowledgeable. **What do you dislike about Acronis Cyber Protect?** Errors/warnings and alerts can be generic, point you to non-existent KBs, or just nowhere at times. Also, the errors if they self-resolve can prove troublesome, as if ticketing is configured, the resolution can close the generated ticket, meaning you might miss an issue that keeps resolving itself. Initially complex, due to the multitude of site variations we support, and the Google C2C backup was not completed when we adopted it, causing issues. Much better now, though you still cannot backup by OU selection. The only downside really is the cost. While the software is functional, adding clients and setting up servers or workstations for specific directory backups can be notably time-consuming and off putting. Setting up M365 backups was somewhat easier (as expected), but configuring each client remains labor-intensive due to the need for individual email addresses and verification emails. Most of my clients were unaware of backup relocations, making their involvement in migrations unnecessary. Acronis support suggested using my own email address for each account—a cumbersome workaround when managing clients in the system. This is one of the reasons I stopped offering backups altogether due to my basic dissatisfaction with setting up new clients in Acronis. The application not only suffers from a slow onboarding process but also presents complex pricing structures. This was another deterrent that contributed to my decision against selling further backups. The pricing spreadsheet was intricate and significantly more costly at approximately $0.10/GB, and you even have to pay .06/GB for your own local storage! Discontinuing use of Acronis services has proven very difficult, as they require an annual contract with no cancelation options. I have to continue paying them from now (May) to December ($250/month). Apparently, my account was auto-renewed in December, so I have to continue paying for the rest of this year. I was told by IngramMicro that it was a 90-day cancellation but Acronis countered them and said that I have to keep paying for the next 8 months. They are trying to do too much with the Acronis service by using the same system as their version of an RMM and pushing other services through the same portal—an approach that raises concerns about efficiency and effectiveness across ALL of their offerings. Also, with absolutely zero termination rights, they will make you pay for the full year contract with no 30, 60 or even 90 day termination notice offering. N-Able offers a 30-day window, and with a 12-month or multi-year commitment, you receive a notice/reminder 120, 90, and 60 days in advance. **What problems is Acronis Cyber Protect solving and how is that benefiting you?** They didn’t help me solve any problems. There are plenty of options on where to backup, from their own cloud space to a local NAS or backup server. Feature sets run the gambit of cost and ability and you can tailor your backup set per end point and per client. Reporting is generally good and it auto opens and will update tickets in ConnectWise. So if backups didn't run because they were already running and it goes into the next scheduled backup and that one completes successfully, it will update and close the ticket which is nice. **What do you dislike about Acronis Cyber Protect?** The learning curve in Acronis can be steep for new users of the platform. There are ways that you can incur additional billing if you are not careful, pretty much anything with a Green Up arrow indicates there is an extra charge for it. We have ours locked down by ConnectWise agreements which syncs over to Acronis and locks the service down per client to exactly what they agreed to in terms of amount of endpoint backups, sizes and feature sets. We did this to take the guess work out for the Engineering team and to ensure correct billing everytime. **What problems is Acronis Cyber Protect solving and how is that benefiting you?** Giving us another option for backup for our clients. Its really nice for SMB as the pricing and datasets are right for single Workstation backup. Datto is just getting more into the workstation backup space with K365 where Acronis has done this for years now. We enjoy the easy to quote nature of Acronis, the numbers don't change much year to year either. We can taylor build a backup solution for a client and use what they have or cast entirely to cloud so its a unique setup. ### 13. We have recovered a lot of vms and systems without any trouble and support is good they respond in 3-4 ours that is the best point . Some times where another backup solutions does not support there acronis will support .like in veeam backup I have also used suse server is not supported but here in acronis it is possible .
