Whenever I need to create a mix of sounds for a video that is going to be seen by the whole company or a large group this is my main tool for the job since it is really intuitive so I can try many prerecorded beats and mix them together and when I need direct feedback I can ask for advice and ask which combination sounds better and fits the theme of the video. In the past two decades, Acid Pro has proven to me that it is the single best music production software out there. Makes it really easy to combine several audio tracks with the exact volume needed, insert audio tracks, edit with as much granularity as needed.
It's really easy to add audio effects in the right moments and turn down the volume if for any reason the audio of the recorded video is unexpectedly high or has an unpleasant sound and instead add a pause, a transition or if it's a high-value part replace it with a compatible sound or recreate it to have a better experience. Acid itself has been around for a very long time which means it is not only very stable but it's also had plenty of time to tweek and perfect numerous features. As far as DAWs go there isn't that steep of a learning curve. If you're new to sound editing/production it's pretty easy to jump right in.
