Vast library of standards and publications - high cost **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024 **What do you like best about Accuris?** Has all the data you need and can provide historical data that is not even available from the standards publishers. **What do you dislike about Accuris?** Costs, service and complexity of getting onboard. **Recommendations to others considering Accuris:** If you are gigantic company, IHS is the place for you. If you need somethign easier to use, lower cost and lighter weight, try Nimonik or Intertek Inform. If you need regulatory data alongside Industry Standards, Nimonik (https://nimonik.com) is likely the best option. **What problems is Accuris solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are now called Accuris Tech (formerly IHS Global) and marged in Techstreet, who both provided acccess to industry standards and publications form nearly all standards publishers. They have nearly all the data you could ever need in a good interface, but their prices are high and cusotmer service has some issues. ### 2. It can ingest enormous amount of data and still will return relevant results on search queries 2. The AI works pretty well and is really a killer when you are looking for a specific information out of the large data pool you have 3. Continuous improvement in its product **What do you dislike about Accuris?** 1. Don't expect it to answer all your queries - its still developing and improving 2. Lacking some integrations 3. Some level of Technical Expertise requried to get a hold of this **What problems is Accuris solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. Helped us synchronise large data pools (ERP, internal database, Shared Drive, etc.) and get relevant search results. 2. Centralized search tool for all our enterprise search needs. ### 3. It provided us with information on sales of specific brands/models/pricing, etc., allowing our sales force to speak to automotive advertisers on an equal level. Data was used along with other syndicated data in presentations that detailed and outlined the automotive industry and why advertising with us would be essential to increasing the advertisers' revenue. **What do you like best about Accuris?** I liked the ability to take a deep dive into the automotive industry. Data provided allowed us to segment purchase information by region, age, sex, ethnicity, brand, model, import, domestic, passenger car, pickup, van, sports car, sedan, 2-door, 4-door, etc. I especially liked the automotive information that provided the average price spent for various automotive types: cars, trucks, and vans. This information was detailed in both import and domestic as well as by race/ethnicity of the purchaser. **What do you dislike about Accuris?** Sometimes getting to the data through the interface was a bit difficult. **What problems is Accuris solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to sell more advertising to existing automotive advertisers. We were able to sell advertising to new advertisers/clients within the vertical. ### 6. Requires you to download several programs then adjust browser settings. I followed instructions and still unable to download. **What do you dislike about Accuris?** Everything. I would not recommend it. For the lay person, accessing this type of data is not intuitive by any means...and I work as an engineer. You would think it would be as simple as hitting the download button but it is not. Thus, I would not recommend this product unless you are a Fortune 500 company with your own IT department. I guess at that size you are probaly using some of the larger and more accessible companies to get the job done. **What problems is Accuris solving and how is that benefiting you?** You can't solve business problems if the product itself is flawed. ### 7.
