Consulting company that puts its own profitability above customers needs **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Newspapers | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2012 **What do you like best about Accenture?** Massive reach and width/depth of technological and business expertise, has a deep bench and can put people on premise very quickly. Has some really good people with serious business knowledge and know how. **What do you dislike about Accenture?** You will pay dearly. Routinely puts it's own profitability above needs of customers. Will throw 10-20 people on a project and bill all of them at a high rate, but more than half the team will just be getting their feet wet in the consulting business. **Recommendations to others considering Accenture:** I used to work here and I will never forget what a more experienced consultant told me - "Accenture's primary goal is to get in to a company, start billing and keep billing until they throw us out". Sometime they do good work, but I never felt that they did business in an ethical way. ### 2. They are well-penetrated into the C-suite and their partners are strong in strategy and sales. They can deploy large teams to tackle big problems. **What do you dislike about Accenture?** Projects need to be a certain size for Accenture to make sense as a partner. **Recommendations to others considering Accenture:** Make sure you work with their practice leaders and partners in structuring a project -- they may be willing to risk-share and you should explore that. They're less well-known for strategy than tech outsourcing, but don't count out their strategy group! ### 3. They have a plethora of knowledge in house and they will bring it to the table. **What do you dislike about Accenture?** Extremely costly, so if you want to work with them, be prepared to pay. **Recommendations to others considering Accenture:** Accenture can help you out significantly, but the cost is very large. They are great with mission critical and high visibility projects. ### 4.
