Working at a large institution it has really streamlined the possibility of meeting a variety of coworkers in many differenr business units with a wide array of experiences. this tool takes a lot of the stress out of networking. cutting down on organizing and searching time. helps with meeting colleagues who are also interested to network. in my own personal career journey, i was matched with a colleague who had a very similar choice in career direction as myself. i was able to build a strong connection and gain mentorship to help me carve my own path. happy to have had this platform available and im still an avid user and promoter. **What do you dislike about Abode?** It's not across our whole company yet. The ease of setting up Office Hours changed the game with quick templates that can be customized for your events, allowing you to reduce the amount of admin you have been doing and focus on the event itself. Your participants get a quick look at what the event is, can register, submit questions if needed and get an automated calendar invite which is key to the event success and more reasons why you are spending less time on these administrative tasks previously done by hand rather than automated with the Ten Thousand Coffees platform. Previous/other platforms were very much "one size fits all" 10KC also has made it easy for various program managers to each get their own programs - women's mentoring + early career/intern mentoring for example. Other platforms really struggled with this, which is why we switched. **What do you dislike about Abode?** We're hoping our IT team can resource 10KC integrations like Teams and calendar. More of an IT issue on our side, as 10KC does provide these integrations with very modern/easy to use IT tools. **What problems is Abode solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better matching -- we previously used excel spreadsheets, we then moved to mentorcliq, and are now happily on 10KC using a much more modern matching and program design approach. Better scale - a big part of scale is user enrollment, matching across different programs/program teams, and also allowing various programs to run at the same time. 10KC has been able to do this very easily for the program teams but also for end users. ### 20. It emails you an intro to a colleague and suggests a possible time that suits both of you, inviting you to book the suggested time. Since onboarding a year ago, virtually, TenThousandCoffees has allowed me to grow my colleague network outside of my immediate team and organization. This has been an invaluable opportunity to open new doors and explore other areas of the business. Given we are a large organization spread across Canada working on such a high variety of projects this level of networking would not be possible without a tool like TenThousandCoffees **What do you dislike about Abode?** It would be nice if you could be more refined and prescriptive about what areas of the business you'd like to network with - like new cities, new lines of business or specific industries etc. **What problems is Abode solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps to open doors within our organization. The best people in our organization have a wide network of individuals. Without TenThousandCoffees the burden and effort required to build a virtual network and create these high vale relationships would be too big a wall for many folks and we would simply stay within our current teams and projects. ### 21. In both instances, I've seen how 10KC has fostered human connection in a meaningful way. **What do you dislike about Abode?** I would love if the templates provided within the tool were created with the partner in mind, so that all the amazing documents that are enclosed for users, could easily show the organizations logo alongside 10KC and have more specific company information included. It's doable, but I just wish it was a bit easier as everything else is so user-friendly within the platform. **What problems is Abode solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are making it easy for colleagues within our organization to connect and collaborate across silos. Hosting a 15k community of creatives, it has allowed us to connect the interests of our members to span across all of the disciplines - from directing, to writing and producing and across verticals - from music, to film and television. **What do you dislike about Abode?** We don't have any issues or dislikes about the solution that 10KC brings on. **What problems is Abode solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our roadblocks really focus around connecting our members and giving them a space for mentorship. 10KC has helped our organization bridge the gaps between disciplines and verticals to connect our community in thoughtful ways to further their careers and their projects. ### 28. We used it to enhance our mentorship program at our company and strengthen the importance of networking, but the opportunities that TTC offers extend far beyond that. **What do you dislike about Abode?** It still feels very corporate-y. The questions and prompts provided for the mentorship program still read very forced and kind of what you would expect from a tailored mentorship program, which was a bit disappointing. **What problems is Abode solving and how is that benefiting you?** In a remote environment, it's really beneficial to have a virtual platform that allows you to connect with others around the world. It gave us a really easy way to pair employees with employees in a meaningful way that was intentional and not restricted to location base. ### 35.
