"Good CRM for law firms"
4/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

I really like the most recent update to the home screen. I don't think the Timesheet calendar was previously there and I LOVE that it is now. This is the feature I use the most and I like that it is so easily accessible now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

I didn't totally love the update that came before the most recent one in July. The screens look more plain and will take some time to get used to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An easy simple system to work"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

It is easy to use but also help is just a key stoke away. I have had problems solved in minutes, without disrupting work within the firm. I enjoy the help videos and feature Fridays. The new AI for notes is also very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

I wish there was a way to tag or link a document to a calendared event. To be able to see the Notice of Hearing attached to the calendared Hearing date, or Case management Order to Deadlines for easy review would be very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Billing and Quickbooks Sync, But Data Migration Disappoints"
0.5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

The billing is easy to use and syncs to Quickbooks and LawPay, which saves time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

When we switched to MyCase from Docketwise, we were told by both teams that they could migrate our data. They are both owned by 8am. Instead, it has been several months without any updates or an estimated date of completion, and not a single item has been migrated, which has caused significant productivity challenges for our team. If you are looking to migrate data, do it yourself or hire someone outside of 8am. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Schneider of 8am MyCase

Thank you for sharing your feedback — we’re so glad to hear that you’re finding value in our billing features and the QuickBooks/LawPay integrations. We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience with the data migration process and the delays you’ve encountered. That’s not the experience we want for our customers, especially as you migrate between 8am products.

We’ve reached out to our migration team to review your case and ensure it’s getting the attention it deserves.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience — your feedback helps us improve and better support our customers.

"Is only good to sole practioners"
0.5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

ease to set up cases; ease to set up leads/contacts; easy to tweak if the program allows; ease of intake forms; billing is easier as you can email them all from your computer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

Customer service takes too long now; call backs take a day or more; can't customize texting so you can control who sees it and should be by the attorney and paralegal. This feature is horrible for a family law firm, as the clients abuse it daily. If you block them from texting, it's deletes it "all", which is a form of malpractice, as now you longer have record of communication with your client. If you turn off notifications, you don't see any texts from any client then. Making appointments is way too clunky and it's smooth. The process to set up a lead, then make an appointment, with sending intake forms, takes too long. Needs to be a simple way to do these from the calendar screen, but MyCase forces you to go back and fill out the "lead information" first. Which doens't work either, as the clients want to establish if you can accomodate them with an appointment that works for them. Anytime we call to suggest something, it's never happens. We have been in practice for over 28 years and brought on MyCase at the onset of Covid as it is cloud based. MyCase never attempts any improvments that we have suggested. But, because it's cloud based, we have many clients that won't use the portal or do anything on through MyCase, because they don't trust it, which in turns causes more work for us. "Excellent Client Management Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

I love how much you can do with the platform. Clients can upload their own documents, you can send invoices, easily receive payments through integration with payment service providers, etc. I also like the visual appearance of the current user interface (they are changing to a new IU though and I don't really like the visual appearance of it). It is very easy to implement and to add new users. Customer support is great! We use the platform constantly each day and never has malfunction issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

There are some ways that the platform could be more intuitive/user friendly. I also wish it did not log you out so quickly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
