Only that application set requires me to manually invite clients to complete the questionnaire. I understand that is because of a legacy coding issue. The workaround works fine and I'm completely satisfied with the using Docketwise. **What problems is 8am DocketWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem Docketwise solves is time spent gathering, entering and reviewing data. It's also great that the forms are updated promptly when a new edition date comes out. **What do you dislike about 8am DocketWise?** Docketwise is trying, and failing, to be a full practice management solution. I use a different practice management software and sync with Docketwise solely to pull in info for the forms. The interface is inconvenient, and the price is far too much for what it is. Most people I know use it only for forms - but that's becoming less viable now that they've raised the price. **What problems is 8am DocketWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** They provide updated, unlocked immigration forms that can be auto-populated with client information. Visually appealing interface combined with high functionality **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Saja R. | Immigration Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2019 **What do you like best about 8am DocketWise?** The first word that came to mind, minutes into my first demo of Docketwise, was “beautiful.” Anyone who has ever used immigration forms programs will agree that they tend to have dated, clunky, visually uninviting interfaces. Docketwise has been a breath of fresh air. The intuitive user interface flows seamlessly from page to page. The next thought that came to mind during my demo was whether Docketwise’s James Pittman, who was showing me the software, was an immigration attorney (he is). Not only was he knowledgeable about immigration law but the software was clearly built by an immigration attorney. One cannot overstate the importance of using software designed by an immigration attorney for immigration attorneys. Docketwise also has excellent customer support. I’ve called Mr. Pittman several times with questions, which he has promptly answered. Docketwise is also receptive to customer feedback and continuously introduces exciting new features. Most recently, it added both an invoice feature, which syncs with LawPay, as well as a customized intake feature. I’d long awaited a customized intake feature in immigration software to ask clients for data that doesn’t exist on the forms, for example their source of referral. Most programs don’t offer this feature. Those that do, charge a cost-prohibitive fee. While Docketwise syncs with other case management programs, they’re not strictly necessary; after these new features were introduced Docketwise is now my all-on-one case management and forms creation software. Although Docketwise offers excellent tutorial videos, the interface is so user-friendly and intuitive that I've rarely needed them. It's such a relief to be able to spend time actually working on my cases rather than figuring out how to use the software. As a solo practitioner I’m cost-conscious. But without hesitation, I signed up for a full year subscription of Docketwise right after the demo. I highly recommend Docketwise to my fellow immigration attorneys. **What do you dislike about 8am DocketWise?** I can't think of any downsides at the moment. **What problems is 8am DocketWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Docketwise is the fourth immigration software I've used in my career. None come close. It's everything I'd wished for in an immigration forms software. Law offices would be well-served to at least give it a try. I've already enthusiastically recommended Docketwise to several colleagues. ### 34. Customer service is fantastic - any time I have a problem or a question, I simply email them and get a response within 30 minutes saying they are on it or have already fixed the problem for me. They are rolling out great updates to the product, which will make it even more effective for my practice. **What do you dislike about 8am DocketWise?** I would like to see more options in the "reports" tab; calendar sync; more robust trust account functionality; and the ability to save common invoice items for faster billing. **What problems is 8am DocketWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Docketwise has made immigration form building even easier for my practice. I like being able to send a client a link for them to complete an intake questionnaire. I am excited about the new developments coming out, which will increase functionality even more. ### 35. The questionnaires are excellent, the system is easy to use, and overall this just saves a huge amount of time. There's always something else they're doing to make life for the immigration practitioner easier. **What do you dislike about 8am DocketWise?** The save button at the top has a popup that is a tad on the annoying side. It appears as a green flag stating it has saved the document, but it stays around too long and you have to wait for it to disappear before you can click on other options there at the top. I'd rather it just give a quick flash indicating it saved or not appear at all. **Recommendations to others considering 8am DocketWise:** Try it out. You'll be impressed. **What problems is 8am DocketWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Efficiently preparing immigration forms (mostly family based petitions and asylum applications). The questionnaires in particular have been a great help (I really like that these are available in Spanish and that they're customizable) ### 36. I've used other products before and had a difficult operating other products. Moreover, my clients do not have issues with it. It saves me time. I used to send out paper questionnaires to clients. Now I simply get their email and docketwise sends a link to the client. Its very simple. If I ever have a problem, docketwise staff is quick to resolve the issue. I am very satisfied with this product. **What do you dislike about 8am DocketWise?** I have not come across anything as of yet. **Recommendations to others considering 8am DocketWise:** You have to give it a try. Its a much better product than the competition. **What problems is 8am DocketWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** I save time. I used to have paper questionnaires. Then I would or a staff member would type in the data from the paper form into the form obtained from the USCIS website.
