"Simple and Effective Payment Processor"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

CPACharge is a simple and cost-effective payment processor. We primarily use it for clients on monthly retainer, and it's easy to input their bank information and set up a recurring transaction. While there are ways to send it to clients, we only utilize it internally when we have been authorized to debit accounts directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

It is less effective for larger payments, as there is a $5000 limit on e-check transactions without prior approval. It would also save a lot of time if clients' information could be saved without creating a recurring transaction; for example, if we charge a client frequently in different amounts, we have to re-enter their bank account information manually each time. If you send a link to a client to input their own information, you cannot remove the option to pay by credit card, which incurs additional fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and everything you need! A real asset to our firm!"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The ease of use, recurring invoices and the updates for expiring cards keep me in the drivers seat! I enjoy being able to build out my cashflow based on recurring transactions I know will be coming in over the next few days! Updating client payments and timing is a great option as opposed to having to build out a whole new payment workflow. The fees are manageable and more beneficial than any other option we looked at! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

Low integration options for firm management workflow. I would absolutely love to see an integration with Financial Cents! The software is really great as is so there is not a lot to complain about! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lacks integrations"
1/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

Reasonable price. Great support. Able to use the link with the "Pay Now" button in Xero (this is not a unique feature, and is available with pretty much every payment platform). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

No integrations w/ Xero or QBO making the backend A/R reconciliation painful, inefficient, waste of time. Separate reporting and payment of fees for cards vs. ACH cause much confusion and inefficiency. Lacks A/P functionality.

Outdated backend technology. There are much better, cheaper, better-integrated payment methods out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CPA CHARGE Made life blissful for the last 2 years"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The ability to be able to take credit/debit cards or e-checks over the phone in the COVID world was great. We have transitioned from taking payment at the end of the process to taking all payments before we prepare the tax return. We have also transitioned most of the accounting and payroll clients to auto payments on a certain day of the month. So no more chasing clients for payment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

The price for an echeck at $2 processing is a little high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Professional & Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The receipts that are printed for clients are very professional. I also like to be able to send clients a payment link. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

It is time-consuming to enter the client's information including name, address, city, state, zip. It would be nice to exclude the address and/or just enter the zip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Easy To Use and Great Support"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The customer support was awesome. The customer rep was able to tailor the charges to our business model. Their software perfectly integrated our practice management software as well. The fees are competitive with other big processors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

There are no reminder features for outstanding balances. Setup cannot be done on your own and requires customer support. There are no re-entry features for the customer to re-enter bank or credit card accounts which sometimes lead to failed charges. Failed charge fees are significant. If you can send credit card scanners rather than a plastic block as a welcome package, that would be great too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best credit card servicing I have seen and used in the last 10 years"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The ability for our clients to pay their bills online anytime! There is also an ease on the backend to easily keep our records straight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

I wish the mobile terminal was easier to use and required less typing. Since there is so much typing, it isn't easy on a mobile device. We have found it easier just to process the payments at a computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceeded Expectations!"

What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The entire platform is very user-friendly and easy to use both on the firm side and that of our clients. Additionally, the fees are transparent, extremelly competitive, and customer service has been incredible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

I'm not too fond of the need to use two separate landing pages for EFT and credit card to charge the 3% processing fee to credit card users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use for CPAs and reliable source of revenue"
4/5
What do you like best about 8am CPACharge?

The system is fairly straightforward for both end-users and for administrators to set up. You can integrate other accounting systems with the payment system so that invoices include the CPACharge link to make it easy for a user to pay and for you to collect. The platform is relatively simple but works well, and customer service is always available to answer questions. The solution is lower-cost than many providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?

Payments can sometimes take up to 5 days to be deposited into your account after being made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
