I like having the ability to see high quality work from the photographer community. I can also quickly sell my photo and set up licensing.
I also enjoy being able to get authentic review & learn from each other.
The content is also very easy to search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it hard to earn money. I submitted a few pictures but not sure how to really commercialize and improve to meet market needs. It's also hard to find photographers at my same level - it's very intimidating to see all of the ultra experience professionals and makes me hesitate posting more photos that are not as good. I love that I am able to upload high-quality images and that they have reviewers that take a look at the uploaded images and provide feedback. The images that are stored on 500px are the best images that you have created and established for your agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing currently, if anything it would be the length of the time reviews take. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The inspiration tab. Every artists or designer needs inspiration and it's my favourite part. The search engine is good and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't quite get what do they offer that cannot be obtained for free with good reasearch skills. The exposure is just a way to say that you are the product, meaning you could sell yourself alone anyways.
Also, if people indexes their work incorrectly the search engine just becomes a little useless. There should be a way to request changes on the tags. At least I didn't see any. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use, intuitive navigation, beautifully designed. 500px is the best way to keep in touch with the photography community, follow your favorite artist and discover new pieces from people all over the world. You can also share your own work and see the feedback from experienced photographers to help you improve. its offers groups to help people stay connected around a similar topic or trend facilitating a more focused approach in the sea of content you can find in the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Search categories could be more accurate to facilitate looking for content in your design/style area. It would be great to have a feedback loop or a mechanism to get more experienced photographers to help you improve your work, something like mentors or advisors that you could get in touch depending on which topics you want to work on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simple design, focus on the photos, not buttons, great phone app. I really like the way that it markets itself and the community. With all of the features (especially camera app for iPhone) it is a great app for photo posting and editing.
In general - a great app if you are looking for a photo based social media, where people actually care about the quality of your photography and will give you an honest, sometimes rough, but always deserved opinion on your art. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not enough interactivity. I wish it had connection to instagram and facebook, to make it work smoothly. Nice integration with IFTTT, but I don't think that's enough. Would have been nice to have that kind of cross app communication. I also wish that 500px had an extension for iOS native photo editing with photos app, so I didn't have to log in the app to make minor changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that there is a high standard for quality work. I know that if I browse 500px the majority of what I will be seeing is professional looking photographs from dedicated photographers, not snapshots from amateurs. In addition to hosting my own work, I like to visit the site for inspiration. I love the ability to curate collections of images I like to go back to later and to follow photographers I like. I also like the option to sell my own work if I choose to, and the slightly social aspect of liking and commenting the work of others. 500px is actually one of my main sources of photographic inspiration when I am looking to try something new or need some motivation to get back out there and shoot. I actually don't really have much of a dislike here. If anything, it could be the upload limit I guess, but I respect that because it keeps people uploading only their best work and not just bulk uploading everything in their portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

500px gives the opportunity to creatives to use a platform that is trustworthy and has value to help each individual grow in their business and talent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Right now 500px is not the most known social media platform for Photographers. It would be nice if the company concentrated on giving tips on connecting better with others in the community and also provide an opportunity where an artist could stand out more. Maybe like a reward system that could allow artists to showcase their portfolio more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I mainly use 500px as a use of inspiration. It is great once you have built a hub of great photographers to follow as then you get to see a lot of content. I have also started to upload my own photos which is great. However I think i need more content. At my company we host events, and we have also used 500px to get an image as our background image which is quite cool too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly as an inspiration site, 500px is incredible I use a few others which i think are better as the upload more diverse artwork, however as 500px is only for photography you can't hold it against them. As a photographer, uploading work isn't as great, as I feel you have to sell yourself to be seen, and it would be cool to get found randomly and become appreciated. I like the way the information (and pictures of course) is organized within the portal so you can easily search and preview the pictures, follow people, and make comments on every photo. An easy management platform and a straightforward solution for sharing content to the photo fanaticals out there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe, you should have the option to allow downloading small batches of photos (2,4 per month) so people get interested in what they get for free and might be more eager to subscribe to get more pictures. Also, make a connection to publish content and share content on another social networks (not onle FB, Twitter, or Instagram). I'm not sure about it but I guess you have an API to techie guys can integrate solutions with 500px to make more extensible the service offered Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
