What do you like best about Google Cloud Build?

Flexible build environment - Default or private pools let you choose a build environment that fits your needs.

Broad language and framework support - Build apps in Java, Python, Node, Go, etc. Wide ecosystem support.

Easy to start - Setting up build through UI or YAML config is quick and straightforward. Integrates with GitHub, GitLab, etc.

Automated deployments - Many pre-built deployment integrations with Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud Run, etc.). Can fully automate deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is no direct support for building Windows containers or executables—only a Linux build environment.

Private pools add management overhead compared to default pools. You have to create and manage the VMs yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud?

Feature I like most about GCP is it provides high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, read replicas depending on different services. On top of it, also gives option to implement serverless application in which we don't have to provision any infrastructure of out application, it is automatically managed by Google Cloud only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

To manage data from on-premises to Google Cloud is difficult as networking is too much difficult to manage in GCP. And another thing I dislike is to manage billing, it doesn't give combine billing of some services like Cloud Dialogflow. It should also give notification if some resources have not been used from a longer time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

As mentioned earlier, it provides serverless deployment option so we don't have to manage any infrastruture so untimately it removes headache to provision servers. It's great tool for analysis purpose using Bigquery and Looker. Another great thing I used so many times is Cloud Marketplace which gives feature to integrate third party providers to our application. It also stores archive data for a longer period which reduces storage cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The number od VCS repositories can be increaased and also the image creation can be a bit more configurable with more options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud Build solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google cloud build is being continuously used by myself and by the company I work for, for seamless integration and deployment. It eases out the process of code deployment and build. The developer doesn't need to create complex pipelines to deploy code. It also takes care of artifactories and containerization at the same time. The cloud build makes sure the process of build and deployment is triggerred at the mere commit into the repository. It can be easily integrated with github and on doing so, it makes the build and deployment process just a matter of seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
