3E Elite Pros and Cons

Um... not much good that I can say about this program. We recently switched to it and it has made my life harder. Not to say that the old version of Elite was much better, but still. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a very clunky interface. The Proformas are hidden along the left ribbon under a letter P icon. Not very intuitive. If I had a choice, I would choose something else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to bill time by listing the client/matter, providing a brief description, and time spent. Elite rounds off time and allows you to easily submit diaries in batches. Timers make it easy to account for many different client/matters in each day. Also helpfully reminds you of unsubmitted time from days prior when launching the program. 3E encompasses all aspects of my job other than email exchange. We leave a paperless trail of billing, and can easily look up client/matter information, AR, and all other data pertaining to accounting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I implemented Elite a few years ago for a smaller firm -- there are many features which only a mid to large size firm would every need. Seemed a little bit too involved for the firm I was at Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
