I've used this password manager ever since running into issues managing a lot of different logins personally and professionally, including a disastrous situation where my password manager was under a work email at the time of layoffs. It's saved my sanity multiple times and I continue to maintain my own account outside of any job-related PMs. **What do you dislike about 1Password?** It's sometimes really frustrating to remember whether I bought the cloud version or the Mac App Store version when setting up a new computer or reinstalling after wiping an old computer. The workflow there is not as idiot-proof as this idiot sometimes needs. **Recommendations to others considering 1Password:** Start with managing just your personal passwords. Once you get accustomed to the platform and can see the benefits, consider pushing an upgrade to 1Password to your company. We've made several groups and shared vaults and they are being utilized by our end users. Everyone has enjoyed the benefits of using 1Password and not having to remember a ton of passwords for all of the different sites and apps they have to use daily. **What do you dislike about 1Password?** There aren't many downsides to 1Password. The only downside I've been able to find so far is that it doesn't connect directly into some of the apps that I use and so I have to copy and paste the account info into them. **What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1Password is solving the problem of having to remember multiple unique, complex passwords and passkeys. This is allowing me to get into sites and endpoints faster without having to remember all the different passwords that I've had to create. Decent software, horrible for business. **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024 **What do you like best about 1Password?** Generally the app works fairly well for end-users who are fairly technically competent. **What do you dislike about 1Password?** From an IT and administration perspective, this software is horrible to administer. 1Password lacks very basic admin functionality that are present in most B2B software including bulk actions, important reporting, automation, and transfer of employee data at end of employment. Administrators doing basic tasks on the website have to enter their password to perform basically any action. You cannot open multiple tabs of the software without being asked to enter your password. It makes doing anything task for a business extremely slow. From a security perspective, 1Password is good as far as its own application security, but it enables end users to do too easily do insecure things (e.g. sharing credentials and passwords they shouldn't be able to share without any way to limit them) From an end-user perspective, 1Password is extremely difficult for end users to get setup, maintain and use. With significant difficulties whenever they change devices and forget their password. The Windows experience is significantly worse than the mac and most of our windows users have given up completely on using this software, which just wastes our money. Their support is the worst I have experienced from any company ever. They do not pickup their phone and they are extremely slow to answer their emails.
