The software is easy to use. The customer support is OUTSTANDING. The integration of the program was straight forward and the employees enjoy it better than the last software we had. Concerns get dealt with in a timely manner. The same day or within a few days. Not 2 weeks like other support groups. They listen to your suggestions and implement them based on the quantity of similar requests. It is simple to create a course using the LMS system and powerpoint slides. The use of 1Life is twofold. It is used for Safety AND Quality. The ability to export quality form details into a spreadsheet, other than what shows on the screen, is nonexistent but customer support has agreed to build that into their future modifications. The ability to manipulate the data in a spreadsheet is important. Graphs can be built etc. It would be great if the mobile interface was the same as the web interface. Our company inputs many forms per day and syncing can be frustrating from a time perspective. The software does not have the ability to easily upload videos unless a private YouTube account is created and then a link is inserted. Dropdown lists are not available in forms which makes the forms longer than they need to be but the modification is in the works. Entering photos into the forms is not possible at this time. The transition from paper to paperless was incredibly easy. I had some hesitation regarding getting all of our forms and documents into an easy to use system and the amount of time that was going to take. Once we started and were able to see how easy it was to build out a form it was stress free and happened to come to gether all pretty quickly! We were able to do a soft launch with a few employees and then after a few weeks we rolled the app out in a H&S meeting with our whole crew and we've had great feedback in the field! We've heard feedback regarding it's easy to use, streamlined, and now that everyone is comfortable using it daily it takes less time and its more organized. Accoutability of employees for completing their assigned tasks has improved significantly (prior when it was on paper employees had the mindset of out of sight out of mind and now that a task sits there waiting for you to complete we've noticed huge improvements and quick turn around time.) Being able to use he scheudler to sent reoccuring events/forms out has been a game changer !! And reaching out when we had questions was very simple and we have always been provided a quick and helpful response! David has been wonderful to work with! Would recommend 1Life to any organization looking to implement their H&S System online, would even refer those that are happy with paper too as they don't know what they're missing out on! Primarily the support 1Life provides is outstanding and they are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure customers are seeing value in the platform. The platform itself also continues to make improvements that are ongoing to always make things better for the end-users.
From an operational standpoint, the ability for the 1Life system to manage safety training records, provide training modules to employees to meet regulatory requirements, offer preexisting forms that adhere to legislation, offer accurate knowledge-based tutorials for web admins to better utilize the system, ect. has proven to be a huge asset to our organization. Not really a dislike for the platform itself but from a web administrator’s perspective, the more work put in up front really pays dividends as use of the system progresses. 1Life can more easily manage documents and make them available to everyone at the same time so less organizational time is necessary to complete work. Our company and my predecessor received a great deal of help, guidance, and consultation to implement our current safety program. As an administrator I really like the new interface for the desktop, It makes monitoring my employees and our safety program simple and concise. We work as a subcontractor to some of the big G.C.'s in Winnipeg and without 1life I don't think we would have the ability to keep up with the ever evolving safety requirements. Some small technical glitches/problems like text being erased in a form, trouble syncing or the app crashing and some abrupt changes to user permissions/fuctions have forced a change in how I utilize the system. We also had a great deal of consulting hours contracted which have been slow or difficult to use up since the move away from consulting to focus on software (i.e. our Dropped Object Prevetion Program). 1Life and Windeck have had a great partnership for over 10 years. The support we received through consults, their vast knowledge in workplace safety, and understanding of being a productive business helped us to acheive and maintian our COR certification.
mySafetyAssistant has been an amazing tool, providing many features such as pre-made training, the ability to create custom training lessons, and an easy way to track all of our training and forms. These programs are used daily by our working staff to complete forms and access required info for their tasks and jobsites.
Implementation and integration was a game changer for us, with the exception of getting people to actually use it and abandon the paper forms, it has made our safety program an easy to manage system.

The software is easy to use regardless of the size of your organization. I am currently using it for our company which has 18 diffrent locations in MB & SK and over 400 employees. I like that I can review each location seperately as well as being able to look at the entire company. Any time that I have had an questions or issues with the features, the support team and Gynelle have been quick to respond to my requests and solve any problems. I love the learning management system for training staff but I wish I could import a power point into the LMS as apposed to creating it existing framework. This is something that would make the software more user friendly. The existing course creating platform works well but it would be way easier if I could import a power point. The user interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to navigate for most users. Customer support has been outstanding, always responsive and helpful. The ability to schedule safety-related tasks is a very helpful feature for assisting our operational folks in completing their various safety responsibilities. I really have become dependent on 1Life. In the beginning it was a tad hard to convert some staff to get into the habit of using the app. They all do daily. This eliminates “Misplaced paperwork” and also hold employees accountably for completing inspections daily or as task changes. The system also allows for an auditor to have all well documented time stamped and not altered required paper work. 1-Life also allows me as a trainer to keep accurate and current training records with reminders of upcoming training.
