What do you like best about SAS/ACCESS?

SAS/ACCESS not only act as a medium to connect to the Database and other filesystem and perform Data analysis for better decisions. It can transfer the data between different filesystem faster.

SAS has only two datatype Char and Num. But when loading the data to the DB SAS/ACCESS handles the data conversion smothly.

SAS customer support is always faster in responding to any query.

What do you dislike about SAS/ACCESS?

Connection to some unpopular database might sometimes be difficult as Data connection settings can vary of DB to DB and filesystem and need to learn filesystem specific settings to enable them in SAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAS/ACCESS solving and how is that benefiting you?

This tool is exclusively used to aid SAS tools access Data from any filesystem (Relational/Non-relational/PC files) to perform data manipulation, analysis and build decisions upon it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAS/ACCESS?

Data Integration : SAS/ACCESS provides seamless integration with Oracle, MS SQL and Hadoop

Ease of Use : With SAS/ACCESS, users can use familiar SAS procedures and functions to access and manipulate data, regardless of where the data is stored.

What do you dislike about SAS/ACCESS?

The implementation to integrate with MongoDB and Hadoop is not straight forward. It puts dependency on SAS Admin and normal developers cannot integrate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAS/ACCESS solving and how is that benefiting you?

SAS/ACCESS allows to integrate with Oracle, MS SQL to evaluate credit risk in real time allows accurate decision making for loan approvals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAS Viya Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's delivering all the analytics stack in a platform which is very fast, robust, scalable and with easy integration with others languages (python, R).

It's not user friendly, but it's too powerful to be. In the end an helycopter is a very powerful machine but drive it is not for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the latest access engines (Eg: SAS/Access to Google BigQuery) are immature and do NOT support some functionlaties that other OBDC driver provides Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
